    Wow. Hard to believe this. After all what could possibly go wrong with the Army Corps of Engineers running things?

    The river I learned to fish on, the weber river here in Utah, was dropped to 0cfs for over 8 hours this November because the army corps of engineers needed to do planned maintenance. They didn't think it would be a big deal (fish need water?) and did not inform our local wildlife department either. People went out and started carrying many 18 inch-2 foot browns back into pools but many fish were lost. Because it wasn't major fishing destination for people other than locals I bet not many people heard about it.

    what does the term 'reds' mean? It is a type of fish?

      redds are spawning beds 'dug' by salmonids, disturbed gravel in the river that eggs mature and eventually hatch under.
