- One day we asked ourselves, hmm, if only there was a band who' s name encapsulated an iconic Melbourne street which also happened to be along an iconic Melbourne route who had a typically route 86 sound... And then it came to us. The Smith Street Band!
These guys belted out a few of their tracks as passengers squeezed on to check out what the commotion was about. A booming voice from frontman Wil was backed up by a sneaky snare drum, a guitar and a Tram Sessions favourite - an old Casio keyboard (reportedly found at a tip)
Their sweet sounds had heaps of commuters reaching for their smartphones to record the event, and it's a good thing we too had our camera because this was a good one!

Only Wil Wagner could get that sweaty in a tram.
The single most disappointing moment in this video is when you're excited to heard the "DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING TOUCH ME!". Wil even stands up all excitingly! hahaha. Great video though.
I wish i was on that tram
This is absolutely fantastic, 10/10 great song, great voice... I need this tram.
Gutted I didn't catch this! Love TSSB!
that cute laugh at the end!!
"Don't you ever fucking touch me"
better than the original
wooooo
brilliant
Is that Johann Beardraven at 2:54?
fuck yeah
Haha seems as if wil is trying so hard not to thrash around as much as he normally does with a guitar in his hand
love it - and the guitar is missing a string haha
nah, just Melbourne weather
The bald dude at 2:49 is not digging it...
