I'm Edgy what are you going to do then? Every attack he has is slow enough to parry on first attempt and you can just dodge all of his attacks. Shugoki is useless if you are patient.

How to not get one shot by shugoki:
1. Dodge anywhere to the side during his 5 minute startup.
2. Hit him once while he charges.

While I agree the back snap move is way OP, Shugoki is fucking easy to kill 1v1 (as a Kensei main at least).
Hare Crazy he's a skill gate character, meaning he's only really an obstacle to new players who don't know parry, dodge, or guard counters
Ian Nordin its not as easy as you think it is. I encounter shugoki multiple times, most of them keep spaming the grap move, if I fell for it once, they wait for me to get up and do it again, cant doge it at all. especially when youre fighting on a bridge, thats horrible af.
Hare Crazy yeah I agree I would greatly prefer the back snap move to not one shot. Yeah people will say only noobs fall for but in short it's kind of a stupid move if it did a lower set amount of damage then it's cool but one shot is just ridiculous because it causes issues and what if lag gets you then you can't dodge you just died in one shot because lag. Yeah it's just not healthy for the game I agree.

God...having the other players impaled into those spikes is just brutal.
Why is all these people screaming "NERF?!?" I'm a pretty decent Shugoki player and I've been shutdown plenty of times by people that has learned the game. Blame yourself if you can't stop it. Everything in this game have an counter to it.
I primarily have trouble with Kensei because of that dodging and attacking stuff and orochi with that guard break and heavy attack spam.
Marsupilami nah the fact that guard break is apart of the kenseis chains are fucken bull. he can just guard break, guard break again to shover then do an unblockable its annoying as fuck especially when you consider if he has revenge he does that then boom easy top unblockable and death. he has like 3 unblockable chains as well i think. either way the fact that gb takes the place of the first attack or first two if he shoves you in any chain is retarded

Fought plenty of shugokis with other heroes. Defeated many of them. This is a skill based game, let's not forget that. You can defend against anything if your skillful enough. It's really about reading your opponents tendencies.

The best way to not lose is
don't let them get close
A team strat I like with shugoki is hug some one and let your team mates attack you, you heal of the damage and the enemy will take the full damage. If done right you can kill full health easly without being almost dead yourself. Great tool to help out if they are fighting eachother

Only if he's at less than a pip of health left, you can bait it out and then finish him if he tries that.

I thought that this was going to be informative for better hero usage, but this is good too.
Shugoki is the ssb Ganondorf equivalent to for honor. His attacks are slow but powerful and they can destroy you if you make a mistake.

Dude already I decided when I get For Honor I'm maining the Big Boy™ but you've made my decision more firm with the memes
Also I'd like to address that it's not actually a one-shot move, it's actually just the equivalent of hyper mode glass cannon Crystal Soul Spear without the glass cannon but also the hitbox is bad instead of a mile
aka what I'm saying is the hitboxes are so unforgiving they just have to dodge at all and not have the reaction time of a slug to not die, there's so much windup to that move he shakes and then you see the "unblockable" icon so you just dodge at all and it misses and he loses health for free like it's such a meme stop complaining lmao it's not like there's a guaranteed combo into it (as far as I'm aware) aside from *maybe* good timing after a throw with no stamina (which is your own fault in the first place, you screwed up when you lost your stamina *and* when you didn't counter the guardbreak)
Gotta love the people who say Id rather learn how to beat a character non sense when they are actually one of the people crying for nerfs.
