I think Amen is the best overall prospect since Yao. I saw a lot of the same things you mention in this video. One thing you didn’t mention is dudes mental state of compete Compete COMPETE! He gave zero F’s if it was Scoot or whoever. He’s locked in just flowing.

Really great analysis Frank. Amen will be the Rocket’s best draft pick since Hakeem. His combination of elite IQ, skills, athleticism, and defense create fear & warp defenses. He makes everyone around him better. His size and length make his upside higher than Scoot. What fun!

I was very impressed by his play and he exceeded my expectations entirely. You know how some guys just visually look sort of out of control? They make you feel like they are going to turnover or take a wild shot. He has the look of complete composure and control. Very nice to see.

Franks analogy is great, Amen is fast processing like a Macbook pro, which has an interface for a superfast Harddisk, our old so called Pointguard was fast like a Floppy Disk on which you can on best circumstances play Frogger, which is a frog that regularly gets killed by fast cars. 😂

JG is still the best prospect on the Rockets roster imo, bc he’s just the bucket-getter/scorer we’ll need in the playoffs to bail us out…when we’re a contender. Amen is a great all around player, but I still think his offensive game will be limited come playoffs or vs top defensive teams. However, I agree that we’ve found our PG of the future and he’s gonna make life easier for everyone around him. I think of Amen as the Pippen of the Bulls dynasty. As great as Jordan was, he never won without Scottie. Their defensive presence, high IQ, and playmaking just contributes to winning basketball. We found a gem in Amen🙏🏾!

@lionstruth8937 Amen is like a Lonzo Ball/Ben Simmons prototype before the injuries and mental stuff. Those type of guys are winning players, but never considered “the guy” on championship teams. They always need a MVP type player to feed off of. JG or maybe even Sengun are the only players with that type of upside on our team.

@lionstruth8937 Yes, Bulls were a better team with Lonzo playing, just like the Rockets will be good now that we have a PG. But Lonzo was still the 3rd or maybe even 4th best player on that team. Amen has a bright future, but he’s not the best player.

I think Houston's speed and versatility is going to hurt other teams. I feel like Houston's talent is better than where Boston's was during there rebuild mode. Only comparing the two because of the coach. I want to wait til the season starts to see them play against actual stars. Has anyone seen BKN's roster now? Lol it's bad, HOU is almost guaranteed a lottery pick over those years unless BKN figures something clever out real fast. BKN has 2 good players in Cam Johnson & Mikal Bridges(sorry if i misspelled) plus Ben Simmons. Where do you think BKN will finish in the standings? Playoffs? Lottery pick? Shot at top 10 pick? Top 3 lottery pick?

That was my fear that he wouldn't be a true point guard. That would just be a guard or a wing who can pass. However from what I seen kid is a legit pg. Dude can handle the rock and move ot. One thing that really impressed me is where he had a rebound and the first thing he did was put his head up and passed a laser of a dime. That's a true pg instinct right there. And good cause I'm not sure how well he would do off ball.

Udoka will play the best defenders. Amen will be pushing Green to pick up his defence. I'm seeing Amen taking Green's minutes more than anyone else's- unless Jalen picks up his defense. Fred may be playing more as a shooter. I expect Amen and Sengun to combine their gravity to get a lot of dunks and wide open shots for other players. Our field goal percentage is going to skyrocket. They are going to destroy poor defenses. If they both develop outside shots we won't be vying for a play-in we will be positioning for a legit playoff run. I think Udoka will want him on the court sooner than later just for the defense. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Jabari averages 20+ points this season.

I'm not off; even though I understand your metaphor, however, its origin and context in adequately describing his talents are idolatrous by definition. Born of man and God has no application with fallen man. Go look at how athletes in Ancient Greece and Rome were deified and worshiped. That verbiage ties directly with it, and we shouldn't give it credence.
