    After Kerr said the red floor made him feel like he was descending into the depths of hell and the way we play tenacious D, I think we should start calling the Toyota Center, “The Depths of Hell”. Kinda reminds me of how the Astrodome was called “The House of Pain” for the Oilers.

It’s just important for us no matter if the shot is falling or not to impact the game in different ways. everyone and everything will come along plus a win like this should boost the confidence for our young players.

    You could just tell draymond and Kerr led that halftime talk by saying we need to put Sengun in every action and make IME make a decision. I think IME played it beautifully. He put ALP back in when Jackson Davis came in and then proceeded to bring ALP in again once the warriors were flustered with 4-5 minutes to go. IME played chess very well to end this game

  • @LizardBiscuts
    @LizardBiscuts 12 дней назад +2

    We beat a healthy, highly motivated GS squad. Kerr was very open about how much they wanted this. That core is the most playoff tested group in the league by far. It was never going to be pretty, we cant out-think or out-shoot them. Those two FTs were the biggest shots of his career so far, and despite struggling offensively, he sank them. Thats huge for us

    Good: lockdown defense, all the 24 violations. I was questioning if we could lockdown a motion offense for an entire game (we didn't do that last game against warriors)
    After halftime, Kerr adjusted, sending Gary Payton to set really high screen to create enough space and pull Alp out of paint. That is how they scored a bunch on Alp, I don't think it is on Sengun, it was a schematic thing. And I think Ime adjusted in reasonable time and lock them down again.
    The bad: offensively we don't have a hard solution on the perimeter. We have to rely on creating turnovers and score off turnovers, hence the terror twins combo was crucial to our success in early season. But recently Tari was dropping a bit I don't know why. And Jalen doesn't create free throw has been a issue all his career, when he go to ft line alot it usually will be a good game for him.

    I love that intro music. It's smooth ❤ But anyway, the Rockets are the "REAL DEAL". They are actually a serious championship contender. And we needed a break with the call. Much as I like Steph Curry & the Warrior, by them being multiple champions, they get away with a lot of calls. Look @ Jordan when he pushed Russell down the lane to make the game winning short rage jumper. SH_T HAPPENS & it's amazing how when you're on a team that receives the benefit from the bad call, your prospective is different than when the call goes against you. GEAUX ROCKETS ❤

I also hope that by the time the season is 3/4 over Cam Whitmore can get that 4th guard spot and give 10-15 minutes as Cam can get buckets. I think most of the “window closings” have to do with injuries and trades (Nuggets, Wolves, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Bucks). Kings are a little puzzling, but generally I think trading / losing core assets is a much bigger reason why windows close.

    • @StateOfTheRockets
      @StateOfTheRockets 10 дней назад

      That’s part of the point, though - specifically with injuries. Things change quickly. One injury can cause a ripple effect that screws the entire timeline up. The Nuggets made a trade (Aaron Gordon) that won them a ship. The Wolves made a trade (Gobert) that made them a contender and then screwed it up. -Roosh

    I am happy we got a win but l am worried about our offense I have been all year. If you look at the offensive numbers we are terrible. We shoot 44% from the field that is bottom 3 in the nba. 54% effective field goal% 50 true shooting % both of those % are bottom 3 in the nba. All I am saying is we are relying heavily on defense to win when our offensive is really bad. That's why I keep saying we need to make a trade or two to help the offense.

    Our half court offense is lame. Fred takes 6 - 8 seconds to get the ball down the court, and another 6 - 10 seconds to hunt match-ups off 1 or 2 screens. By the time we get the ball to a scorer, they have to force a shot without a chance to pass and the defenders know the shot clock is running out, or we get Fred driving into the lane missing shots over bigger defenders. We've basically taken Brooks and 2 others out of the play, leaving the defense in position to help and get rebounds. We're doing the opposite of our most efficient scoring, which is when we are moving quickly, passing, cutting, offensive rebounds, fastbreaks... it's hard to watch Fred move the offense in slow motion but I guess that's what Ime wants

    The main problem and whats cuasing JG to be inconsistent is
    1. His shot selection at times isn't that great
    2. He dribbles into bad situations all the time (Driving into the paint with like three other players surrounding him)
    3. He chucks up way to many three's on a off night
    4. He has horrible pass Iq, but most of his bad passes come from situations he put himself in.

Roosh can’t stop his agenda talking style, In a WIN that was the closest to the playoffs we’ve gotten in 4 YEARS, you complain. We’re not competing for a title so any win is a great one. Roosh talks as if we’re a contender. And with him even thinking about trading because “Windows close quickly” what window. You’re so negative in what’s been our BEST season. I’ve Been off most of social media for 2 years and you’re still that same loser who finds a way to be negative despite how positive the vibes are amongst the fans. We’re the 2nd seed with one of the worst offenses. (An impressive accomplishment) you’re focusing on the negatives. Have you ever noticed that you’re doing that. It’s such a party pooper Debbie Downer attitude that really shows your lack of fun in your life. People who are appreciative of life and enjoys what life brings doesn’t talk like you do about this team every game. AMAZING NIGHT YESTERDAY and you’re literally complaining more than not on the pod.

      The last 3 pods you have said the same Amen Thompson for Jalen Starting thing. ITS NOT HAPPENING THIS SEASON so stop bringing it up. We get it you want him to start. It hasn’t happened. Talk about something else. You can’t because you programmed to talk analytics and logically, like a nerd/robot. Hard to enjoy the basketball game you witnessed when you so keen on everything stats and barely the game itself.

      I don’t think you’re ever spoke about how fun the night vs OKC or last night was, or the b2b clippers games. I would love for you to not repeat your statistical analytical logical logistical political basketball jargon for the 78th time and talk about how amazing of a time you had which you rarely do because, “Jalen is a Microwave,” Jalen is a JC type of player” Jalen shot bad” is all you can muster up time after time after…

    Sack JG ffs, even the other team fans can see the potential of this rockets team with a proper shooter! Why are they insisting on this "maybe" guy while you can have perfection?? Even Harden at his age will put us to the top!

    The Ugly was JALEN GREEN .. 5 for 15 with 12 points, and his last two points were Gifted by the Refs !! so I have mixed feelings about the Win cuz that "Missed Jump Ball" call was SO EGREGIOUS !!! The Warriors shot 31% from Three, and Rockets clearly have more talent, so the Game shouldn't have even been close !!! So like I said, my feelings are Mixed about this Team cuz (1) Lack of Offensive Inefficiency, (2) Jalen with his "Jeckyll & Hyde" peformances, and (3) Reed Sheppard Not being NBA Ready .. The Game against OKC will be very illuminating !!

      Ime Udoka doesn't care so much about the missed shots. In the post game interview, he went out of his way to say this. He loved Jalen's energy on the court, and we lose the game without him.

      @@Jfsgknd I'm a Realist & a Rockets Fan. Rockets only won the game cuz the Warriors shot 31% from Three & the Refs gave the Rockets that Win !! You know very well that Last Play should've been a Jump Ball

    Really wish that Roosh had never been included on this channel. Dude always has his agenda and is so ready to bring it up. For him to go around twitter and jump into conversations trying to normalize what Barkley said, as if he's the Ambassador for the Rockets. Ridiculous. Barkley flat out stating that the Rockets don't know how to play basketball is an insult. A direct one. And any "rocket fan" who is cool with it, isn't really a Rocket fan. I don't have any problem telling people who to fan. We live in a time where we tolerate entirely too much behavior. Other than that. Really thankful for Frank and Space.
