But once loaded the excursion will out pull and gets better mileage. Seems like it holds 10mpg even running heavy hauling hay. I have a summit single chamber and a 20" glass pack. Single chamber was way too loud alone but adding the glass pack kept the tone and quieted it down, redoing the exhaust soon since the single chamber is starting to come apart inside.
So are you still running your cat? Ive got a '06 v10 myself and ive been searching for the best sounding exhaust for them but there isnt a whole lot that sounds good, yours on the other hand i love. Im just trying to figure out the exact setup here

Actually the 6.8 triton v10 stock put out a little less horsepower 362 and 457lb ft while the svt lightning put 363 and 440 ft lb stock not a big difference but theres a little bit the v10 has more torque
Find yourself a 6spd manual regular cab. Ours gets around 15 if it's unloaded, 10 max loaded. It's a hell of an engine though, ours has had no problems thus far in its farm life
Once you swap all the electronics you'd have to worry about the springs and if the frame can handle such an engine, then again considering allot of older fords with a 302 could hold a 460 just fine I wouldn't worry to much.
check out a video in my favorites called up hill down hill its of mine there are some exhaust notes near the end from in the passenger seat its got a volant cold air intake stock manifolds stock ypipe which id like to change gutted the stock cat and has a dynomax ultra flow ss with dual 2.5 pipes exiting in front of the wheel out the side.

Probably the best sounding Ford v10 I've found on youtube. I just wish there was some mention of how this setup works with regards to in car drone.

Its not a frame bending motor but it has more torque than the 5.8 svt and weighs more with the two extra cylinders

Just straight pipe it. With a larger diameter exhaust if you can. A friend has the V-10 and it sounds good straight piped.

ive priced it at about 242 with out the tail pipe or the pieces of pipe between the muffler and the race bullet

It's a muffler but it's essentially a glasspack so I think he is using it as a resonator on this setup.
I have a 460 7.5 ltr and it is no good on gas . How is the v10 on gas ?

Probably not, the lightning engine put out more power and torque than this enigne, and that was only in half tons.
