Liked that vid. I was doing the Shafer Rim trail when I was met by an older Lincoln continental convertible full of Texans. Shafer is a great canyon road that really doesn't need 4wd and offers some spectacular views.

That's cool to see an ol' Lincoln convertible on the trail. We took our rental up Long Canyon Road on this trip but passer by's convinced us to turn around because the larger suv wouldn't fit under the fallen rock. Still to this day wished we would have tried to see. I love Moab, but hear things are changing.

Very nice. I'm planning a trip to Moab (from Florida) and after all that driving, it will be great to know a bit about the area trails. So thank you!

Sounds great! Have fun in Moab! You’ll love it. Thanks for the kind words. There are many other trails (some very technical) out there so you will have a lot to choose from.

You did a great job editing this video. The suitable music is a bonus! No crappy hip-hop! We're going to be exploring that area for 3 weeks later this year. Your channel will definitely grow! Thanks!

Thank you so much for your comment and positive vibes. You are going to love it out there. I didn’t know what to expect when we went to Moab, but was pleasantly surprised.

Looks like an amazing ride. We've been to Canyonlands but not brave enough to go off road. Beautiful views! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness it was so much fun. If you’re back out that way, you’ve got to give it a try. You can start on some gravel roads very low-key. You’ll love it. Let us know if you try it. There are more trails nearby that I haven’t had the nerve to tackle yet..maybe one day. This trip was in 2021 and after that ride we went to Arches and Canyonlands. Mesa Arch in Canyonlands took my breath away when I walked over to the edge. (Sorta scared of heights). The Moab area is just so beautiful. Thanks for watching. I look forward to following your adventures as well.

Great video! My friends and I were lucky enough to make the same ride on motorcycles at the end of October 2022. We did miss the catacombs though so I guess we have to go back. Chicken Corners was one of my favourites along with Hey Joe Mine, and Kane Creek. If you haven't ridden them already they are top of my list!

Thank you very much! Yes go back for the catacombs. Great break spot. I’ll have to check out Hey Joe Mine. We got out on Kane Creek a little but turned back. Can’t wait to get back out there. Thanks so much for watching.

Actual Chicken Corner is a hike around the ledge onto the Mesa behind Felders arch. Cowboys would take their cattle around that trail. If you got off your horse and walked around the corner you were a chicken.

@lyleiflyit thanks for the info. I knew there had to be more out there about Chicken Corners. If I had to ride a horse like they did, I’d definitely walk it, maybe crawl!! Thanks for watching!!

Great video. We just did this same trail in October and really enjoyed it! We rented a SxS instead of taking our Jeep (which is heavily modified for trail use), liked the ride so much better we bought a Can Am Maverick X3 when we got home! Can't wait to get back out there. Your video brings back fond memories for sure.

Thank you very much Tom. We can’t wait to get back out there as well. The Maverick was an awesome machine. That’s funny, because we looked at getting one as well after we rented it and the only reason we didn’t was in our area it’s too wide for for the trail regulations. So we would have to trailer 2 hours or so. We will another trail video up soon. This time we will be in Cooke City, Montana at Daisy and Lulu Pass on a Kawasaki Mule. Thanks for watching 👍👍

How much are those side by sides to rent? Do they rent by the day or certain amount of hours? Are there some trails that are less technical? I’m new to all of this but I’m eager to come out there and explore lol. Also which Go Pro did you have in the front. I was impressed with how smooth the video was.

Hi @cre8tivity06, the side by sides were expensive but worth the experience. This was in June of 2021 so prices may have increased but I'm thinking it was around $700 for the whole day for one of the best machines they had. ***You did have to place a large deposit on your credit card***. All that aside, it was an easy process and I highly recommend it. This was our first time in Moab and I had watched Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners videos on RUclips and decided that it was within our wheelhouse to do. Other trails like Hell's Revenge are more technical. You can rent and drive to the trails straight from the rental place. I used the GoPro8 on this video. Thanks for watching. We have a lot more in the pipeline to come out.

Funny title though...... Is a SxS considered a drivable machine or a ridable one? Can't be both imho.

How much did it cost to rent that machine for the day, friend?

    • @wanderhereandthere
      @wanderhereandthere  Год назад +1

This trip was in 2021 and the total cost was $644.13 for the 4 seater. They also put a damage deposit hold on a credit card for $4000 if you’re over 25 and $6000 I’d you’re 21-24. The damage deposit is released when you bring it back they way you left with it. I think damage deposit is excessive but understand why. It was a pricey trip, but the experience was priceless. Thanks for watching and thanks for your question 👍👍
