    Hey Nick! This comment is overdue. I have been watching your videos for over a year now. You deserve some serious credit. Many people watch youtube videos with zero appreciation for the effort that goes on behind the scenes to make that video. Your video edit quality is superb!!! The many well thought out camera views, integration of multiple sources of FPV video, the audio voice overs and clarity of the sound itself throughout the videos and sheer detail into the actual quads themselves with clear video makes your reviews some of the best on youtube. You are a true professional and I hope I have shown you the respect your efforts deserve. I just ordered the Cinebot30 from Racedayquads and subscribed to your channel : ) Cheers.

    Love the review. Im excited to see that this spec was nice! Im currently building two new picklewhoop frames from LeDronClub - a 30 and a 25. Ill be building the 30 with 1804 3500kv motors and hope it will fly along the lines of this cinebot30. LeDroneClub's pw25 build looks like it might be a good spec for a cinelog25 upgrade/replacement, with 1604 motors instead of 1404.

    I don't have any experience with small 6s batteries, but on 5 inch you can pretty much match battery weight(6s to 4s) and still get a little more flight time with the same weight. The wind hitting the gopro in a zero throttle dive might be making it wobble, maybe a little more idle speed would help to stabilize it. thanks Nick!

    The Cinebot 30's prop guard frame cracks if you hit something head on. You don't have to be going very fast (medium speed). I've noticed cracks in the frame where the camera cage meets the prop guards, and also, for some reason, just under the antenna mount in the back (also in the plastic, prop guard frame). The cracks are forming where the two camera cage screw holes are. The plastic is very thin there and is prone to easily breaking.
    I've ordered a new frame to replace the cracked prop guard, but if the next frame cracks as fast as this one (I received mine about a week before Christmas), I'll probably shop around for a different cinewhoop. I'm new to FPV and have mostly just been flying over grass as I am still learning.
    I contacted GEPRC two days ago about the frame issue but haven't gotten a response yet.
    I absolutely love this quad and hope I just got one out of a bad batch. I just want to give a heads up since I haven't heard much in terms of frame problems.
    Jan 2nd update: Geprc reached out to me to help with the issue. The replacement frame I ordered is being expedited. ❤️

      when we fly a quad where the motor kv is designed on a higher battery cell count we can get more efficiency or just flat longer flight. The other side is for more aggressive or freestyle flight it would be greatly under powered.

      I suggest getting an expresslrs radio, something like the radiomaster boxer, tx12 or zorro for video I suggest the dji 03 air unit as it has great penetration and image quality at the range your targeting. Batteries are a big variable. I would look at brands like china hobby line (CNHL), tattu r-line, and GNB. GNB is more budget friendly but not has high performer as the others. For size of the battery I think I wouldn't go higher than 1300mah for smooth cruising flights and drop down to about 1000-850mah for more aggressive flight.

    • @NickBurnsFPV

      @@FlatEarthPhotography Oh boy. Sorry, C rating is such a pain. First c rating isn't a standardized measure in batteries, or at least for the fpv market batteries, it mainly marketing mumbo jumbo, so I don't suggest comparing c rating between brands. Where we can make use of them is on the same brand. A high c rating generally will mean it can discharge faster and thus produce more thrust and performance and also mean they are more expensive.

      While a video like that can be valueable it has a very limited audience. I would think there are youtube tutorials on both. When searching use something generic like "goggles 2 binding or linking", and "crossfire binding". We don't need tutorials specific to the quad as those component processes don't change from quad to quad. I don't have crossfire or goggles 2, my goggles2 order hasn't shipped yet.

    I know it’s been a while, Mr Burns but if I could ask you for your expertise in something. I purchased the 6s c-bot30 planning to use it to film indoors with my 4s batteries because I heard this combination offers greater fine control with quadcopters.
    If I later want to fly the quad more freestyle with my same 4s batteries, can I just purchase and install the 4s version GepRC motors simple as that? Will the stock BF setup work with 4s motors with perhaps some settings changes?
    Cheers and TIA

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  14 дней назад

      its only a guess but yes switching motors from 6s to 4s capable will likely require PID changes, maybe filter changes as well. If we don't I wouldn't expect the quad to track all that well or handle prop wash as well either. There could be other flight characteristic issues but those stand out to me.

    Just back into fpv after a few years away. Watched this video and decided on this quad for outdoors windier days. Just received the CineBot30 analog version. Used the Betaflight Configurator to set up an indoors "beginner" mode. Throttle limits and expo. Toned down the PID rate profile setting . All is almost fine. Easy to more or less hover around. But... there is definite roll bias to starboard (users right when heading away). Requires a bit of stick input (~14??, center is 1500) to keep it from accelerating to starboard. Recalibrated the RM Pocket's sticks. Still drifts. Any suggestions outside of using trim inputs to tune the quad. Any tutorial on PID tuning?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  4 месяца назад

      Sounds like your flying in angle or horizon mode...I presume this from the "beginner" mode in the comment. This with the drift references that the accelerometer needs calibrated...this needs to be done level, as level to the earth as possible for the best results. This will need to be done whenever there is drift. As we fly and bump things, crash or even land the accelerometer will slightly lose level.

    • @noohohno
      @noohohno 4 месяца назад

      Thanks for the reply. Yes, angle mode. Used a bubble level to make sure on a level surface. Betaflight Configurator, clicked the accelerometer calibration. Still drifts. Let the right stick (flying mode 2) go to center and watched the quad roll over about 5 degrees and zip starboard. Tried adding a couple clicks on the trim switch. No real effect. Plan is to reserve the trim switches for other functions (audible RSSI telemetry, audible flight battery voltage....) once I figure out how. Assuming similar process to other Aux switches. Need to find a screen shot of what is the normal factory PID settings and compare against what I see when my CB30 is set on at Betaflight Configurator. Maybe a mis-tune at the factory. @@NickBurnsFPV

    What about dust going into the motors?? I'm looking for a cinewhoop to fly in a factory. Where dust, even metal could fly around in the propwind. Did it happened to anyone?
    I guess the same could happen just by flying low above sand or similar dirt.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Год назад +2

      Generally I think of dust in terms of house dust, hair, dead skin cells etc. In your case we would be concerned with metal "dust". the motors are going to really attract metal out of the air, this is going to be long term problematic as its a terrible pain to clean out. from what I have been told by others, they fly the motors until the result isn't good and then swap the motor out and work on cleaning the motors that got metal in them. Then test after cleaning and check that results, if no good or not good enough they throw them out and go with new. Sand is also problematic, but if it doesn't have metal or very little the motors will run longer, but pure sand can be rinsed out with water.
