@@Metzwerg74 to each their own. I'm just glad to see them getting back to some of the older sounds. This song feels like a mix of all their better eras to me.
Deliver us is fucking awesome. People complain about their changes but they have never gone away so drastic from their original stuff. Even then they have so much material like Dark Tranquility and they have always sounded great
"The quiet place" is one of my favourite by them that I think you should check out. Then there's also "Only for the weak" which is also a good song to start with. The band started off as more of a melodic deathmetal band in the 90s and slowly progressed into more of a metalcore-ish band in the 00s. Though with their recent singles they've kind gone back to their roots a bit.
“Cloud Connected” should be the next one you check out from the Gothenburg boys. For their contemporaries, “Slaughter of the Soul” by At The Gates is the quintessential Swedish Melo-death song.
It’s sad that the band doesn’t have a bigger following.. I have seen them live 5 times throughout their evolution.. and I have to say.. they are AMAZING live! Prolly one of my top 3 bands of all time if not my number one.. Anders has such a unique voice and that beautiful inflames sound is a match like no other
Most of In Flames is quite heavy but as elite metal bands sometimes do, they show you a softer, maybe more radio friendly song or two. For casual listeners who are interested, check out "Dawn of a New Day" and "Metaphor" from the Reroute To Remains album. They're fantastic and that's their best album in my opinion. And E-girl, way to open your mind and expand. Metal is the best. Keep listening. Lastly, for those who love lyrics and a great voice, start listening to Pearl Jam. Theyre wonderful.✌️
A fun fact. There is a new band coming from Sweden just like In Flames. That band is called The Halo Effect and consists only of old members of In Flames.
Technically Mikael was never a member of In Flames, but he does bring a lot of that early In Flames sound to The Halo Effect. I get chills every time I listen to Shadow Minds.
@Mikael sjöberg who said I don't like it? Don't put word in my mouth. I was simply wondering if any old timer metalheads like myself remember in flames that way
Please check out more In Flames! Soilwork would be something you would as well. But please more In Flames and dont be afraid to give the older stuff a chance before the newer songs.
This song slaps I don't remember if it was the third or fourth game but I know it was in one of the saints row games used to blast this while mowing down mother truckers
@@j6936-d6v You are so lucky! I wish i could see them live or even meet them! In flames was such a big part of my life back in 2006+! Everytime i listen to those older albums, i get very nostalgic and kinda emotional xD
You should definitely check out "Take This Life" by In Flames as well!
In Flames is incredibly versatile, they get a lot of hate from ppl saying "they changed" but they're so talented it's easy to love them 🤘🏻🖤
or hate nowdays...
@@Metzwerg74 bet you're eating those words if you heard their newest single
@@millercalen heard it... better than this... but still on their weak line....

The entire Clayman album is an absolute masterpiece
Dude, Clayman is f'n phenomenal.
Gotta disagree. Clayman was eh. Come clarity is one of their masterpieces
@@fupaking7717 heresy, neither are close to their best though

One of my favorite bands!
Also, I saw them live back in September and they did a lot of great tracks
Leeches is a great song by them.
Also check out the band The Halo effect which consists entirely of former In Flames members.
Other bands you must react to from Sweden is Orbit culture and Imminence 💯🤘
Anyone else remember when In flames was a death metal band?
No one cares. Same comments on every
In Flames songs. If you don't like the new stuff, just listen to the old stuff

Greetings from Germany
The chosen psssimist is very good but also a bit longer
React to the song colony of in flames
they gotten so weak....
Time changes, people change.. people age and grow! Its time for you to come out of your bubble and stop living in the past!
From what I’ve heard of the new record, it sounds like pre Reroute material.
@@Heavymetal16 I was in a meet and greet with them and Anders addressed what the original comment said as. His answer was exactly what you said.
