4:08:45 - "Transfer Request Approved" - This is the first time I realized that message is from Tali's DAD. New understanding of the "Should any harm come to her..." bit and all. You'd better have her home before curfew I guess. [edit - good on chat for spotting that right after I unpaused too, lol]
It's funny you were saying the Salarians should've just used the Genophage as a deterrent and not deployed it, because that's actually an easily overlooked aspect of that whole storyline. It's mentioned in the codex in ME1, but it's easy to forget. The Salarians did in fact develop the Genophage in the belief that just its existence would be enough to make the Krogan back down. However, the Turians thought this was a naive viewpoint and deployed it against the express wishes of the Salarian Union. Honestly a great encapsulation of the differences between the way these two races think. Salarians always go for what they view as the most logical solution at the time, supported by projections and theories. Turians go for the quickest way to end conflicts with the least amount of lost life on their side. I think the series has a habit of making the Genophage seem like a primarily Krogan and Salarian issue while letting the Turians avoid scrutiny, but it's a complex three way issue in actuality.
@ I’m a huge fan of Salarians and their lore so I was happy to share! They don’t tend to get as much attention as Asari, Turians, or Krogan but they have some really cool stories hidden in the codex.
For Kotor it's not anymore dated than Dragon Age Origins. I'd also recommend Jade Empire. I haven't seen it played much on RUclips but I think that's mostly because it's a 1 off game.

Sometimes I forget how wonderfully written Mordin is. Possibly the best written in the trilogy

Christmas Garrus: "Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some celebrations"
Mordin's dialogue always makes me a bit teary eyed too, very well written character

Funny you should say you'd romance Tali 100% , since she is indeed romancable as a MALE Shep :p and is really precious across all 3 games :)
Fun fact. Samara is played by Maggie Baird. Billie Eilish's mom.
gotta love the fact we getting this little know facts about 10 times pet stream :D
