have all the ones on your list except funny games, they're keepers. I'll throw a top 5 together 5.Kuroneko 4. Repulsion 3. The Brood 2. Night of the living dead 1. The Vanishing
@@masterchaosofficial yeah I grew up with Night and love it but its very mainstream Hopefully Cure will make my criterion horror list ima blind buy it this weekend
Just yesterday I watched House of Terrors (from the Mondo Macabro label). It's an excellent mid-1960's Japanese horror film, rather gothic-esque. Good depth to the characters and the story as it unfolds.
Hey MC. I have the Eureka editions of Kuroneko, Onibaba and Kwaidan. I’ve not got to them yet as I’ve been trying to clear a full week and just dive into their goodness. I’d seen images from each film in different reference books which all made me go “wow, I must see that” hell, I still have Arrows Bloodthirsty Trilogy to get through perhaps on a lesser scale of further Japanese Horror.
I watched woman In the dunes per your recommendation and wow I'm not really into B&W films let alone foreign B&W films but this one surprised me, the tension, the sound, the eerieness, I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5, kwaidan is next to watch for me
Interesting list, I would have peeping Tom at the top of mine, but that movie is out of print. I will wait to see what movies you have on your part II before I mention the other two movies I would recommend.
I saw Onibaba on first UK release in a sleazy fleapit in Glasgow, Scotland. What a bizarre flick.
Amazing!

5.Kuroneko
4. Repulsion
3. The Brood
2. Night of the living dead
1. The Vanishing
Love The Brood and The Vanishing.
@@EdLo3 the Vanishing has such a dark look into the mind of a sociopath that it will haunt you for days after
Great list, but for me NIGHT isn’t really a deep cut. I didn’t mentioned it or Scanners or Videodrome because I was looking for hidden gems.
@@masterchaosofficial yeah I grew up with Night and love it but its very mainstream Hopefully Cure will make my criterion horror list ima blind buy it this weekend
Great list. So happy to see Kuroneko on there! One of my favorites for sure.
It’s wonderful!
a great list. I will be looking forward to your other lists. one of my favorites is Island of Lost Souls
That’s a wonderful one. Was on the list, but wanted to focus on obscure ones.
I am a new fan of Asian cinema. I appreciate the recommendations. Gotta TBYB some of these titles. Cheers MC!

Ox, I would invest in the Criterion channel. It’s my favorite streaming site and has all the Criterion movies!
Very cool list, thanks for the recommendations Master Chaos! Look forward to the next Recommendation List!
Stay tuned!
Had to stop your video and immediately order Woman in the Dunes after that recommendation. Can't wait to check it out!
It’s amazing, but freaky.

Bloodthirsty Trilogy is meh.

Amazing! Glad you gave it watch and it struck you as powerfully as it did me. Enjoy Kwaidan!
Awesome list MC , I love carnival of souls. I'm always looking for the lesser known hidden gems so I'll definitely check out the others.
Great! Hope you enjoy them.

Pepping Tom!!! Yes. Oop sadly, but who knows what the future will bring.
Spaghetti westerns would be a good top 5 lol.
There aren’t any in the Criterion collection.
@@masterchaosofficial oh maybe regular westerns lol
I love your recommendation videos MC hope your doing well 🤗
Thank bud, doing great. Wishing you the best!
@@masterchaosofficial You're so welcome bro 😊😁 Wishing you the Best to❤️💯
Love your !!!WHATTTT!!!! girl! Is that Portman?
Halloween Kills!
I’d have to put NOTLD, House, and Haxan in my top 5
Great titles, but Night isn’t it a deep cut, and Haxan will feature in my silent movie recommendations.
I see that the Asian cinema has really got a hold of you
When it comes to Criterion, yes.
Do you rate CURE? Personally I loved the Eureka edition. A really interesting horror concept.
Great damn movie! Looking for it.
Hey man so i did some criterion shopping the other day. No money left to eat but atleast i got my criterions
🤣 It happens.
Spine #338 Equinox is another fun Horror/Fantasy gem, very similar to The Evil Dead!
Yes! Fun film!
