    You make great content. Keep it up. Once again, I wish I had found you before I bought an hour east of you.

    Thank you, finally a dealership that takes the time to explain with video the cars they sell. Great job!

    These are identical skid plates to what fits on the 2024 Tacoma. I have both. The Tacoma part number for the front skid says "trailhunter" on it, but is I think almost identical. The cost I paid was $330 for the front and $270 for the rear, including shipping. On the TRD OR, it bolts to the front crossmember so if you have an SR5 or lower trim, these won't work because you don't have a crossmember from the factory. You have 6 of the captive nut skid plate bolts already, but I think you'll need at least 2 others for the rear skid. These bolts cost about $2 each. Install is trivial. The design is brilliant. Put in two of the skid bolts loosely, then slide the plate over. The two notched holes in the plate will hold it up while you position it and hand thread the other 4 bolts in place.
    Removal for an oil change is just the opposite. Unscrew the 4 bolts, leave the other two with the notches in place but backed out slightly. Slide the plate off. Takes at most about 5 minutes to remove and it's not so heavy you can't do it entirely by yourself. Torque is around 20-22ft lbs. Somewhere in that range.
    As far as the "sealed transmission" you do in fact need to service the transmission if you want it to last. But removal of the plate to access the transmission and transfer case is trivial.
    Thanks for showing how these attach and interact with each other. It was very helpful. The parts and accessory catalog isn't very helpful, and the stock skid "plate" on the Tacoma is basically a piece of plastic.

    is there a skid plate for Rear Differential?

    I'm glad the land cruiser first edition gets a proper skid plate. Seems like that's the reason why so many of those land cruisers get bought with the skid plate because the installation cost is just $10.50 😂

    Thanks for doing these videos, it is very helpful. Do you guys sell the rear diff plate that we've seen for the Tacoma, and has been listed for the LC but without an accurate Part Number? I'd like to order one, but no one seems to know any details, nor whether the Tacoma version is the same as that for the LC. Thanks for any info!

    For a complete set, do we need PT228-35244 as well?

      @edmartintoyota8599  4 месяца назад

      No, I think PT228-35244 is only for a Tacoma. Am I wrong on that?
