Ayyyyy warhammer man!! Didn't know you had another channel! Been following other channel since the beginning!! I actually just picked up this set today!😂😂 super stoked also been playing alot of skull and bones cant wait😂😂
hey, glad you found it. this is our gaming/hobby channel. this set is so cool, grabbed a rule book after i realized it was missing, but havent had a chance to dig in yet. its a really nice set though. i've never played skull and bones, how is that?
Awesome yeah found one nib for 150 been waiting awhile to pull the trigger but definitely got me excited to do some cool dioramas or something as well. I actually enjoy it alot love anything pirate!
Nice! I picked up a brand new copy off Craigslist last year for just $50. Not sure if I'll ever get around to painting or playing it, but couldn't pass it up
ya what a steal. so much good plastic in this set. i cant wait to mess around with it!
I got this with everything still on sprue my self. Still need to put it together. Great video man!
thank you my friend. its such an awesome set! i looked past it for years, and now after seeing it in person, its really amazing! cant wait to dig in!
I bought that pyramid ship off ebay years ago for my Tomb Kings collection. Glad I did when I could. Beautiful model. Wish I'd grabbed the rest!
ya that ship is one of the things that got me excited for this! its such an awesome set!
@@TableTopBROs trying to figure out how to make it into a unit filler for my tomb kings...
thats awesome, i love the idea of unit fillers. check out Miscast "nurgle diaries" he's like the OG of unit filler creations. his stuff is great, i'm sure you'll come up with something after seeing his stuff (if you haven't already)
@@TableTopBROs will do! Always love seeing other people's creations, it's inspiring
Such an amazing find with all the sprues intact and the cards unopened, I'm quite jealous as this and Mordheim were both out during my hobby hiatus. I didn't see the rulebook though, do you have that elsewhere?
ya its great, very happy with it. Mordheim is amazing! the rulebook is in fact missing. i noticed afterwards, when i went to have a read lol. looks like i can score one for about $15-20
Did you get a rulebook with it? Great find!
no i didnt notice until afterwards, when i went to have a read... but there was nothing to read lol
Would also say, it's not that bad to paint... other than the sails... painting the sails sucks, esp. the yellow symbols on the heldenhammer!
i'm def looking forward to putting it together, and slapping on some paint. the details are really nice. lots of good plastic!
It's a good game... fell victim to a time when relations between customers and GW was at an all-time low... GW was screwing hobby shops over, they were taking down forums, largely killing specialist games, etc. Dreadfleet came out of nowhere, was not a man-o-war reboot, it's minis couldn't be used in other systems, and was a terrible beginner product as the models are not easy to paint and require pretty much every single color.
That said, the game itself is good. It's very chaotic, and by the end of a battle you have ships drifting, out of control, on fire, plinking away at each other with the last little bit of their firepower, hoping for a big hit. The only tweak to the rules to really clean it up is just pulling one fate card per turn (instead of two) or just not doing fate cards at all and doing a die role for wind (I like to roll 2D6, one of each of two colors... pick one color for clockwise and one for counterclockwise... whatever color is higher the direction the wind shifts and the number of pips is how many spaces the gauge moves... reroll ties).
sounds like you know what you're talking about! i didnt notice when filming, but i'm missing the rulebook, so even if i get it built, not going to be playing any time soon lol. i do agree this set came out at a weird time. i think it could have done well around the peak of Pirates of the Caribean if they had marketed it right!
