I dunno. I took DeNiro away in case the cat decided to run... Probably never faced off with an ex professional athlete before :)

We're planning to get an Historic Scotland membership as well (when we come over to visit). It's much more cost effective if you plan to visit a lot of historic sites, which we hope to do. Thanks for sharing so many great free attractions, though. Definitely plenty to see and do without breaking the bank... but pardon us for having a quick laugh... so many things you've showed us on your videos have been CLOSED! That's just funny, right there. LOL

Honestly, it's not even deliberate we just like making it up on the hoof. Let's just say we're in Inverness in an upcoming video and it keeps the trend going :) Historic Scotland membership is well worth it. Visit Edinburgh Castle and Stirling castle and you've pretty much covered it right there.

@@scotlandonashoestring we plan to visit Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, and others as well as make a stop in Inverness too (among other places). Planning to make a 2-week road trip loop through the middle of Scotland to see ancestors' homeland and other sites, plus the beautiful scenery.

I remember my folks talking us in the early 70s to the castle .. my dad then took me into the siege tunnel and you could crawl along in them .. if i remember i think there was two.. one the folks dug trying to get in and the other by the folks in the castle digging towards them ... and then some thing more gruesome about cardinal Beaton and a window .... awesome memory flash back..thanks guys

    • @scotlandonashoestring

We cover both those in another episode, Beaton was a lovely man and the siege tunnel is still awesome :)
