    You should find rear shocks for street bikes (R1, R6) those will probably have closer to the correct spring rate.

    • @ferrumignis
      @ferrumignis 10 месяцев назад +2

      No. Sports bikes have short stroke dampers and very high rate springs to deal with the insanely high leverage ratio that the rising rate monoshock linkages have. They are completely unsuitable for direct actuation in a double wishbone suspension, particularly in such a light vehicle.

    • @tassiejeeper01
      @tassiejeeper01 10 месяцев назад

      @ferrumignis not to mention significantly more expensive

    • @ferrumignis
      @ferrumignis 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@tassiejeeper01 They are very expensive new, though you can pick up OE used shocks for the more popular bikes reasonably cheap. They could be used on a car if remote mounted and operated by a suitable linkage, but that's a whole lot of extra complexity over a regular double wishbone design.

      Trailing (or leading) arms for independent rear suspension on are not a great choice for RWD road cars tbh.
