Primeval Series 5 Cliffhanger Petition

- A petition to stop a cliffhanger happening in series 5 of Primeval.
A true ending or no ending. We cannot take any chances! Primeval could very easily be cancelled again. So unless there is an absolute garuntee of a series after five then no cliffhanger should be allowed!
I just finished watching all of Season 5. Was appalled that the last word was the 2nd Matt appearing and telling the 1st Matt to "go back" (where? w/Emily? etc.). Never occurred to me that 2nd Matt could be a clone....Now, I'll never know. One of best tv series ever, w/great actors, and I'm left pondering (for years) the "why" of 2 Matt's..... Oh, no!!
I wish Cutter came back lol. Maybe through an anomaly how Claudia/Jenny came about. But then he'd be different. :/
@DoctorWhoRocks10000 There is a slight cliffhanger sadly... and that REALLY annoys me as season 6 may not happen! Instead there's gonna be a canadian spin-off, planned to be more for adults, so scarier and gorier, looking forward to it, but really want them to put an end to the original series so we don't have to worry about loose ends.
only leave a cliffhanger if there is definatly going to be a series 6
just remember we only have 6 episodes in series 5 and thats the last series so everything has to be resolved in the last 6 episodes
In the last episode of Series 5, Stephen must came back to make a little cliffhanger :P

oooo Primeval is so close now. It's just around the corner. To me it feels like it was canceled yesterday. 2010 has been the quickest year ever. Anyway I don't really mind cliffhangers. I like trying to guess what happens and stuff but if they do a cliff hanger in series 5 and it doesn't come back. They better have most of the storylines solved. Also I found out just recently that a major revelation will be discovered about the anomalies in series 4 episode 7.
I agree. I was dissapointed in the whole third series from ep 3 onwards. Nick should not have died and if they knew that they had the possibility of getting canceled they should have brought Claudia back and had a happy ending so that they could have been ready for a new series with an original team.
That's right I agree 100% because then we don't have to think it might come back when it's not
I highly doubt that they will end with a cliffhanger, they've filmed both series 4 & 5 back to back, I hope that there is a sixth series though :]
Oh and the Primeval movie sounds like it might happen, the producers and writers have hinted that they've found someone to produce the film and Warner Bros. have bought the right, thats what i've heard anyway, fingers crossed they will use the original cast :D

I ran into Ciaran McMenamin in Manchester and I asked him if there were plans for a sixth series and he had a look in his eye as if they do have plans for a sixth all he said to me was that he could not confirm or deny any future plans beyond series 5. The last thing I want to see is another ending like this in series 5.
Not only is thideo ridiculously old and I'm not sure why people are still commenting on it because filming for series 4 and 5 ended months ago, but also as I just said, series 5 has ALREADY been filmed, so there is nothing short of full evacuation of the country that will stop it being aired. Thank you.

They've already said they're gonna continue this in the Game formerly a movie known as Primeval New Dawn
@ChrisOvens51 i liked all of the series, but nick was my favorate character and it was weird not having him, if he had to leave they should have done it in episode 10.

I would like there not to be a cliffhanger of any kind if the show has no sign of being renewed for a sixth or even seventh series. If the show is to end, and there is at least economic and populist opinion that it might, then I think the show should end on a positive note, with clear and unambiguous indications of the future.

Sorry but I definitely want a cliffhanger...that way even if the unthinkable happens there's always room for a return.
Plus, the only ending there can be is sealing up all the anomalies. After all the past will always exist as, presumably, will the future - or futures.

but in saying this joss whedon ended series 5 of angel with a cliffhanger knowing it was the last ever episode of angel and it still doesn't make the show any less worthy of our attention watching it infact it then lets us the viewers decide for our selfs in our own minds how it ends admitedly joss whedon did continue the angel story in comic book form maybe the same could be done with prmeval after it's tv run

how can you be completely sure about wether it will ever be continued or not..? I don't think this is really a big problem...

And what did we get? a cliffhanger at the end of season 5.... and seasons 6 is a MAYBE, and with the canadian spin off, Primeval: New World/New Order, I hope they find a way to end the series without a cliff hanger... I'd hate for series 5 to be the end, then having a whole new story to follow in the spin-off... anyways, it's meant to be darker and gorier so lets hope it does well.

@NickCutter2 I really hope there is a series 6, but if not I agree there had better be a proper ending. Though I don't see how this can work, because if they're not sure if there will be more but they make an ending, then there is no reason for them to continue for another series.
