- I visited Alloway, which was where Scotland's National Poet, Robert Burns, was born. I wasn't able to visit the inside of Burn's cottage, but it had closed by the time that I had gotten there. I did managed to visit the Burns Birthplace Museum. I also went to the Burns Memorial, the Auld Alloway Kirk, and the Brig o' Doon.

I've been there. It's a brilliant place. I am enjoying your literary tours.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit.
Always been my favorite and can recite it perfetly still after learning it in primary man y moons ago lol
O my Luve is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.
So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my luve,
Though it were ten thousand mile.
Robert Burns has certainly had an impact on all of our lives. His work should certainly always be celebrated and performed.
When I was there the poets path also had the twa dugs and every so often there were weather veins with different scenes from Tam o Shanter. Nice video 👏🏻
It’s a shame that they’ve taken the twa dugs away. It’s still a great place to visit. I certainly want to do more literary tours of Scotland. I’m glad that you enjoyed the video.
