    I love this idea! I have a one-year-old and very little time and energy to declutter, but 5 minutes is definitely doable! I get discouraged when I attempt to organize & declutter because it's exhausting and overwhelming, but I think this is something that I can stick to. Thank you!

    OMG I needed this video today! I’m going to declutter my closet drawers first: they’re driving me insane every morning.

      That’s a perfect place to start!

    Did my first 5 minute declutter under my cooktop in a big box of gadgets. I decluttered a giant potato ricer, a small hand nut grinder, a duplicate bench scraper, a metal funnel, another kind of zig zag chopper. There’s much more in there but I stopped at 5 minutes like you said. I’m going to track my 5 a day in my habit tracker with a good star each day.

      @@lelaburris I’m doing a decluttering every day of 2024. This is rewarding! I have a friend who I send a before picture and an after picture. She’s supposed to say wow!, amazing!, and things like that. It has to be a friend who understands and also wants to declutter.

    5 minutes!!! I usually do a 15 minute but like this as part of a daily routine. The kitchen counter is an area of frustration - taking 5 minutes will be a BIG improvement!

      Hope it helps! The 15 minutes is fantastic, definitely don't stop that if it's your regular routine. But 5 minutes will be really helpful on days you are really busy but still want to feel like you've stuck with your routine. ☺️

    You can only effectively declutter, if you positively know WHAT you cannot use again, when you organise ( like an empty bottle).So, many things being reorganised in a room are related to possible uses of others there not being used presently.

    I have a kitchen gadget box ( which I never look in) under my cooktop. I’m going in for 5 minutes.

    My brain thinks. Oh, I won’t get that space finished in 5 minutes. It will just pull all that out and it will be a big mess.
    How do you overcome that thinking?

      @lilascharmante2712 6 месяцев назад

      Probably by putting back what you haven't had time to finish. You can continue the next time or allow yourself a longer time frame. If you are guessing that you need 15 minutes, then do that. Also, it is a declutter, not an organization 5 minutes

    I like this! I’m going to try it but 🤔 I don’t know if my OCD will let me stop 😂 wish me luck.

      Totally get that. Maybe it would be helpful to have something else planned to do immediately after the 5 minutes? Try to stack it with something else you do every day so it becomes part of your routine.

    Realistically, you can't even think of which things to declutter and why in 5 minutes

      The list of 50 ideas is really helpful if you need it. Otherwise just work on a spot that annoyed you recently. A drawer that wouldn’t shut, a cabinet that something fell over in, a closet shelf that has things spilling over, etc. As this becomes a habit, you’ll be more aware of cluttered spaces in your home. 🥰
