DYI Combination engine hoist/Tractor boom

We needed a boom lift for the tractor but didn’t want to BUY one when we had an engine lift IN the shop. Our need for the lift AND the hoist were real, but not constant. So, we decided to combine BOTH tools by fabricating a 3-point hitch onto our hoist. Now we can use the hoist in the shop when we need it, use it as a boom list if we need THAT and are now able to store the hoist in our “garage” with the tractor itself so it does not take up room in the shop when not needed...this is what we came up with.

come in vary handy. lives in an outbuilding, easy to not only use around the farm on the tractor, but also to drop anywhere to use the hoist alone. thanks for stopping by!
