I got my 2004 Honda CR-V already with 196,000 miles on it thinking I'd just use it for a year or two. Over the next 3 years, I put another 100,000 miles on it with my 150mile daily round trip commutes. I recently had the valve cover gasket seal replaced. The mechanic came into the office and asked me to follow him into the garage where they were working on it. I'm thinking, "Oh oh...new engine time". Then he showed me what the issue was...
The engine was IMMACULTE inside. All the valves, springs, casing, interior, he said; "This motor is like new." I generally changed the oil/filter 3X a year with Mobil I & a K&N Filter. She's right at 300K now and still running like a top. When I buy something new, it's going to be a Honda Pilot or maybe another CR-V. Honestly, you can't get mad at Japan for simply making better vehicles than us especially when they're built in America.
    Sorry Ford, Chevy & Dodge...
When you stop making garbage that ends up needing $10,000 of work for stuff that should be covered under warranty, maybe you'll get another chance for me, but I'm tired of putting in more bad money after bad. I can't afford American made trucks anymore. They just cost too much in work, in time and in aggravation. Reliability shouldn't be an outlier...it should be the standard.
And I say that genuinely loving American SUV's & trucks. I just think that the bean counters at corp are letting the brands down and that's why they aren't selling $100,000 pickup trucks anymore. Americans are fed up with it.

Sure enough, the very next day when she went to turn it on, I heard a "BOOM"! and saw smoke rising up to the 2nd floor window right over the car.
I ran downstairs and saw the hood up and white smoke coming from the engine bay. Of course the motor blew. It had water in the oil when I showed it to her and was leaking like a siv. She got mad at me and blamed me for letting her buy it.

Toyota and Honda vehicles. Basic maintenance and they are bullet-proof. Change oil every 5,000 miles (ignore the marketing hype of 10K oil changes). Surprising that Lincoln is on the list, their sales are poor, and they are a Ford product. More surprising, more so than GMC being on the list, is that any German junk would be considered as reliable.

Love the channel however the ecoboost isn’t @ 300k vehicle. Yes they can make it however you will have to get a 2nd mortgage to get it to that 300,000k mark. Around 120-130k you will start to put 1-3k into the engine. From their it will cost you annual $1-3k
    If your buying a Ford get the 5.0 a now that’s a 300k engine

My mother had a '89 Mercury Cougar brand new for 14 years got rid of it at 319,000 Miles. My Uncle '84 Crown Vic Wagon, kept for 18 years with 279,000 miles until my cousin totaled it 😄. Without that minor / MAJOR piece of information, you video is simply a waste of time for most of us. When we go shopping either online or in person, the model years and specific models are key to finding the right vehicle. Without that, this video is just a lot of noise to most of your new viewers.... Too bad really... for me, it's simply a waste of my time.
