If a drug deal goes wrong ant four gang bangers shoot each other it will be counted as a "mass shooting". In the past something like that would be categorized as "gang related shooting" not a mass shooting. So when we make the definition so broad then yes, we have way too many "mass shootings"

I lived 55 years in Phila. The uptick in gun violence is one of the main reasons I sold my home and relocated to the surburbs in GA. Haven't heard gun shots in 4 months. I feel safe and my anxiety has decreased. Praying for my beloved city. These parents need to start doing gun checks in their homes. Most of the people involved still live at home. It starts at home. RIP to the victims, and wishing healing (mental, physical, and spiritual) to the innocent victims involved.

Well I hate to say it’s not surprising but for Philadelphia to be surprised that a gunfight occurred when they are allowing the Kensington area to be an open drug market is just ridiculous.
I feel for the families truly. I feel the city owes them tremendously. You can’t allow an open drug market within your city & not expect gang style shootings to spill over into other boroughs of the city. This is the progression of the disease playing out not just in the body of the addicted but also into the surrounding areas of where it’s allowed to subsist & thrive.

This is what happens when we have way too many guns in this country and you have people that are frustrated with life. Folks are struggling to make ends meat and people (mainly men) are angry about everything. It’s the perfect storm for violence to erupt across this country. These shootings are no longer only happening in “the hood.” This is not happening in any other “civilized” countries. Any little thing like looking at someone wrong, bumping into someone will spark a shoot out these days. And there’s so many areas in society that need to be improved in order to prevent these from happening in the first place. Having gun laws that actually makes sense and are the same across the country, having a better public education system, access to mental health services, would be a good start.

Here I am sitting outside on a sunny day reading a book and having a blast engaging my curiosity, and meanwhile people think that a good way to spend a day would be to shoot people dead and end their one chance to live under the Sun in the universe forever. This was an interesting video. All the speakers were as detailed as possible and spoke clearly with true knowledge. The Commissioner was exceptional well at speaking to the crowd and so polite. I will be praying for the city and all those involved in this incident.

That's like saying every shooter is doing this because of Biden. I don't like either president, but I can't find a causation or a correlation to this. It's always easy to blame someone you don't like, especially if they are positioned in power.
To me, this is just economic fatigue. People had to be a certain way due to the pandemic and now they don't care. If Trump was still president, pretty sure you'd see the same result because neither president has actually done anything to help with the fact that Americans are more over worked and underpaid than ever in history.
