The individual layout for Craigillin is now on the channel. Thanks again for a painless and rapid filming session, if only all layouts were that easy to film!
Thanks very much for this. The running of the layout had nothing to do with me at this show. I was unable to attend due to a medical procedure I had in June. It was exhibited for me by Ben,Richard and Steve. Looking at your comments they did the layout proud . Hopefully see you at future shows. Stop by and say hello. Best regards Jeff
It’s lovely to see such a broad range of different layouts being exhibited. It makes me think that there’s no problem with the idea of railway modelling although some of the shops have closed down.
Yeah the idea of the hobby dying was complete nonsense generated to get clicks. Yes people, myself included, are struggling with the current prices of new releases but plenty still available in the hobby if you look for it
I've noticed that American layouts have appeared to become more popular since the pandemic. I suspect a lot of people wanted to build something different during lockdown. Those fortunate people who weren't working every day unlike some! 😂
Dentdale makes me wish I'd gone N gauge! My obsession with heavy freight means the huge mixed goods trains just look awesome to me! Love these videos (think I have attended my last model railway show, unfortunately). Thank you for posting!! 👍
I've gone to N gauge for a small one off project I'm working on, but now I've started it's become very tempting to do something else bigger afterwards. Eventually I'll have something in all 4 of the main scales. Thanks, I'll be attending many exhibitions each year and hopefully more once my own layouts are done, so you will always have plenty on content on here
Great to see the Tube represented at a model railway show!! I’ve only seen it once before, but I know it’s possible for more layouts to use underground trains!!
Unfortunately I can only film what is run. I have a limited amount of time to get around each layout and film them equally. There were 27 layouts at this exhibition and I had 5 hours to film them all. This layout for whatever reason, didn't have many movements during the time I was with it. I returned to it throughout the day where I could, but there gets to a point where I will just move on as I can't spend too long with the layout, or risk not being able to get enough footage of the others.
On behalf of Silver Fox (I'm secretary) thank you for a great video of our show, hope you can come next year!
@@KN-yc8wu thanks, all being well I will be
Thanks for including my layout Craigillin in your download.
No problem!

I’m impressed!! Every model railway show has AT LEAST ONE American layout with proper American trains!!

@@SHGPMedia Awesome! I can see myself doing something in O eventually. I love the detail in those shunting layouts!
@@SHGPMedia😊😊
The layout with DCC Sound chipped steam locomotives is lovely!! My two sound fitted locomotives are City of Birmingham and a Class 101 DMU.

I've seen a couple now. There was a very small N gauge underground station layout at the Ivanhoe exhibition
Is that 2MT using a modern steam generator or the 1960s Synchro Smoke?
Based on the pop before it started smoking and how many locos he had with it fitted, I'd say it was the old one
Is the railway with the viaduct a model of the Settle to Carlisle Railway? It runs through gorgeous countryside!!
Yes, Dentdale. Models the area around Dent on the S & C
@@SHGPMedia I thought so!! I got onto the SCR at Dent and ran through to Carlisle on my visit to the Lake District!!
Love a bit more on that Austrian layout. Far too short
