My local Model Railway Shop, Staff are excellent, there's Help when you need it, and your left alone when you just want to browse the endless possibilities you can purchase to enhance your layout, our six year old loves it also being a huge Thomas and Friends fan and his first layout underway in his room.

Great Eastern is my local. And I go often to buy second hand models.

This is the very best model railway shop in the UK, and believe me I've seen quite a few in my time! The most friendly of staff, plus the most helpful, I cannot fault them at all. I will always remember how they obtained a big box of Triang Blue Pullman rolling stock for me and knocked down the price. I cannot praise them enough.

An extremely welcoming and friendly place to visit. Wonderful staff and great advice. Unlike some model shops, browsing is encouraged. There's a free car park at the back of the adjacent Tesco Local store. Top tip: pay them a visit, then pop into the very nice cafe just up the road on the right for a coffee and a bite to eat.

I've seen this layout elsewhere, it is an excellent layout but this vid has given me an idea on how it operates! To give the impression of loading, I'm assuming they are running identical sets of wagons in opposite directions: one empty, and one full?

Fantastic layout. where did you find the fabulous backdrop? I just found a Tyco HO crane but will look just fine on my layout. All those details really set it off and it all looks as it would have. Thanks for sharing Charlie
