Looooooove the ribbon card. Do you have a tutorial on how you put it on and added the butterfly to it? Thank you!!!

Hi @boxer3086! Thanks for watching! I prefer the cardstock for the palette as I feel like I can get a lot more of the Gelato medium colored onto the paper as opposed to a nonporous surface which requires me coloring onto the palette repeatedly. Also, I can add just a drop of water and keep the color very vibrant when transferring it onto my project. Because I only add a bit of water to small sections of the palette colors, the areas that are not mixed with water remain reactive with water until water is added. Happy coloring!

Why wouldn't you scribble the Gelatos onto a non-porus surface for your pallet? Seems like there's some medium waste using paper for the pallet. Just wondering. Otherwise, terrific tutorial!

Hi how did you make your die-cut stencil? Must know!! Thanks. So beautiful

I think if you skipped the gesso it may have not removed the gelatos. The gelatos would therefore adhere to paper much better. Lovely cards Thankyou.

OMGoodness, I love the poppies. I do have a question If you pre make a palette, won't it dry permanent, or does it have to be wet then dry?

Fabulous techniques, need to know if you have to seal the first card with anything , not sure how it would dry , thanks , always love learning new stuff

Thanks for watching! I did not seal the cards with anything. If you find you would like a sealant for your cards, I recommend Krylon Matte Fixative Spray.

Beautiful cards. How long does the palette colors stay reactive with water? Why use cardstock instead of a wax paper for the palette?

Do you need to "set" the Gelatos so they don't easily wipe off in the mail!

susan yee Gelatos are permanent when dry- just let it sit out for a while after you're done (the length of time depends on how humid it is).
