I can’t imagine judging Old Way. It’s so nuanced and something u can only really learn from someone who was doing it at the time. There’s an essence of really just sinking into the moves, serving attitude, taking your time and letting ur move hit the beat just right. Not that I’m hating on more modern forms, but sometimes I feel like they are just spitting out as many moves as possible at warp speed.
One of the main rules of vogue: DO NOT TOUCH AND DO NOT PHYSICALLY RESTRAIN THE OTHER PERFORMER. It completely brings us out of the fantasy and beauty of it all. how did his ass not get chopped immediately?
