I WENT TO SCHOOL HERE!!! I can't believe you explored it! This is so exciting! First room was science class, then art, then Latin classes. You saw the admin offices and then the library. You were right that those little rooms are where we called home from once a week. The room just outside the chapel on your way to the main building is where we kept our chapel books. The main building was for the admin only and they slept upstairs so student were strictly not allowed. I'm surprised you didn't take more time in the main house. That first yellow room was full of old books and classical furniture and was by far my favorite room. That last dorm room with the beds was reserved for girls who came for retreats. Thanks so much for what you do!

They just moved is all. It was kinda nice going to an all girls school because you never really worried about what you looked like and there was no point in trying to impress anyone. I didn't stick it out because the rules were crazy intense though.
I can't believe how untouched that place is. Hopefully someone buys it and takes care of it before more vandals come.
Because it was recently closed down, the whole place still has electricity you can even see that in the office where the monitor has a glowing red light
I agree, vandalism isn't just a crime, it's also disrespectful and immoral. Destruction just for the sake of destruction is wrong and I wish that anyone who vandalises such beautiful places would get caught and either have to pay for the damage or work on repairs as punishment.

I'll still never get how so many of these abandoned places have their doors unlocked, i know some are that bad and have been broken into but a lot aren't. I'm especially surprised at this place not being locked if they're trying to sell it, not the best thing to do as it leaves it open to thieves and people who will vandalise it!

Beautifully well constructed stone/brick building. If it is for sale maybe that’s why the electricity and a/c is still on. I can see it selling as a possible hotel or a wedding venue with the chapel and beautiful grounds. Has great potential, especially in the good condition it is still in. Amazing find.

Hi, I'm not so sure they were scrapped because that is the only sign and I think it was just the capping off of a gas main as it was situated in the science class.

I went here from 1994 to 1997 and it was really beautiful. I remember planting flowers all around that circle in front of the main house. There were at least 100 of us living there at the time.

Damn, for an unplanned exploration this was a gem of a find
I went to school here, 2002 - 2005. Best and worst years of my life. So peaceful at times but so much inner turmoil. It was ridiculously strict. We had to wear nylons and skirts at all times, we even played sports in skirts. There was silence from 10pm until after breakfast. If we wanted something we had to write it on note paper. No boyfriends, they read our mail and when one of us left the school it was top secret, no one else knew and we couldn't say goodbye. Lots of good memories too thought and we had good friends. The ladies that ran the school were kind hearted but very misguided.
It’s so weird that no one could know when someone left the school. Why? What was the reason? It’s not wrong to say good bye when someone left. Except they left because they were expelled from school due go scandal or something bad.
@@Keiri12 It was heartbreaking to wake up one morning and find a friend wasn't at the breakfast table. Apparently it would be "unsettling" to the other girls and they thought it better if no one knew. Usually girls left because they were really homesick or could't handle the strict rules. I wish I had had the guts to leave earlier to be honest!
In my area elementary schoolers go to a place called Walker Creek for a break, but it’s also a wilderness learning experience, and that’s what it reminds me of. Schools should put money into it to restore it and a grounds keeper to do something like that. It’d be fun and it’s already an amazing building

LOL. Went to school here actually. I appreciate seeing the old place again, but your facts are pretty far off... I went there and graduated in 2010, and it was still running after I graduated too. Also, Prout (the coed high school down the street) was a totally separate school and we knew those kids too. Loved going to high school there and would love to go back and visit!
I don't think that very first part was caused by scrappers. Being a science lab that's where the gas line came in for the Bunsen burners and whatever else they use gas and Flame for. The whole lab bench and the one behind it are both completely missing. I really don't think Scrappers would take two huge wooden benches, they would just take all the pipes inside of it. Those could have been repurposed at the new school, or even possibly sold

bindu asokkumar I don't know for sure, I'm just assuming. He had mentioned it was the science lab for the school. School science Labs usually have benches with running water, natural gas for the burners, and electrical outlets. When looking at that spot on the ground I can see an electrical box for the wiring, that one line sticking out of the ground that is curved looks like a gas line because of how it is stiff and retains its shape and it almost looks like there is a gas shut off valve on it. The other line may have been the running water. Like I said it is just a guess, and it is not a very clear picture of that area. But that is definitely what those look like to me. With the tiles missing around that area it definitely looks like something was there and was removed. The reason I think they were either sold or repurposed is because if Scrappers were to take the piping out of it they would have left the huge wooden benches just laying there, it would be way too inconvenient to walk out with wooden structures that big.
I do a lot of abandoned buildings myself, but I only recently started a RUclips channel so I don't have many abandoned videos on it yet. But in my journeys of abandoned buildings I have found usable stuff like that taken out of the buildings when they were shut down and sold and repurposed elsewhere. Also I have noticed in my Urban exploration that when Scrappers take valuable metals they always just break up whatever the metals are in and only take the valuable metal.
Again it's just a hunch, I have no real way of knowing, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened there.
I need to start making more exploration videos, Summer is here and I'm starting to go again. I videoed an abandoned train yard for my channel last week, that was so much fun. The video I posted only has the front half of the yard because it is so big. I'm going to go back probably next week and video the second half with the huge abandoned warehouse. The warehouse is amazing in it's Beauty and decay.. not trying to take anybody from his channel, but you are more than welcome to check out the video I made of the first half, it's freaking awesome.

Hi, I went to school here too. It was previously a convent and then in the 1990s-2012 it was a Catholic Girls boarding school. Immaculate Conception Academy. So happy it's still being well cared for and hope it finds a new home soon!

vinyl Our Lady of Guadalupe is a widely recognized and venerated Marian apparition! Meaning that people in Guadeloupe, Mexico, saw Mary, and she appeared and spoke to them. That image is what she looked like to them. It’s not uncommon for Mary to appear as the race/ethnicity of the country of the people at the site of the apparition. For instance, there’s a Japanese apparition of Mary! So yes, they are pretty much the same person! Our Lady of Guadeloupe is one of the many “versions” (loosely used term here) of Mary.

So if an island has no people living on it. ie it's uninhabited, it's abandoned is it? You're a dumb ass. Abandoned means that something was owned and in use by someone and then it's no longer wanted for use by the owner. It's discarded. Left to fend for itself. Left to the nature and the elements to have its way with. Uninhabited just means nobody lives there. Educate yourself.

I (Mary Carty McQuarrie) taught there in the 90’s. It was remodeled and built on to in the 90’s. It has a lot of history before the Legionaries of Christ bought it from the Diocese of Providence and remodeled it for a girl’s boarding school (6-8th grade mostly from Mexico) I think it may have been a college first. (St Josephs?). In any event it was purchased and is now called “Shepard’s Run”. A vineyard!!!

I have a feeling this place is still being utilized for certain things. You can tell cleaning crews are still there regularly. The new school in the front probably still uses the back for meetings and stuff.

From the video, it can be seen that the place wasn’t completely abandoned. It was still well-maintained and the facilities were still in good condition, probably for future purposes. It’s a great place.

You should visit the molly stark hospital. It will be demolished soon and it is a huge part of Ohio’s history. It looked beautiful. My grandma was actually in there when they built an extension as a psychiatric ward for adults. They were one of the last place to do electrical shock therapy. They kept the psychiatric ward under lock and key. It was kept hidden from the state for the longest time

If someone had enough money to buy this property, they could remodel it to be a hotel that hosts events. The building and grounds are beautiful and I could see it being a great place for weddings etc. Hopefully someone will buy it and do something good with the property. I actually prefer to wear a uniform when I go to school cause it was really helpful to not worry about what I am going to wear for school, and now at my university, we don't have uniforms so is kind of a struggle to pick an outfit every school day.

You’ve got to go to Detroit Michigan! So much history and abandoned buildings in Detroit and surrounding cities even abandoned hospital in surrounding cities like RiverSide Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton MI
That’s such an amazing looking place, beautiful! It would make a perfect hotel or resort, or it could even be turned into something completely unique. If I knew someone with enough money then it would be perfect. Definitely a place with various opportunities.

Wow I think is an a exchange Legionaire catholic school in US or UK who were sent girls from expensive mexican private catholic school from Mexico to learn english it has a Virgen of Guadalupe image. Those images are exactly from my catholic highscool who were a private boy school. Beatiful school.
