I just love how this extremely old game has better crash physics and damage models than any nascar game made in the past decade.
Nascar inside line was the last game that had both of those

2003 is not extremely old and regardless of age this was when games were made with passion. After about 2010 is when games just started being made as companies bottom lines. Im embarrassed how much games have regressed when we were all so excited for the future back then.

I went on a tour at DEI back in 2006 just a few days before the Coke 600. At the end of the tour, Martin Truex Jr was doing an autograph signing/meet & greet and they were giving out copies of this game there. Somewhere in my old stuff there's a signed copy of the disc to this game. This was the closest thing I could get to NR2003 when I was around 10 years old and all of the crash compilations were popular on RUclips. Had a blast doing these 4 car races lmao.

I remember a similar promotional game that Nabisco came out with but it was a web hosted game and there were more opponents. I don’t think it was based off of NR2002 though. You only raced as Dale Jr. in the Oreo car or the Ritz car. If anyone remembers what this was let me know!

Back when I edited the NASCAR Wikipedia project, there was some rando that persistently kept adding the Snicker Snack cars to the List of Current NASCAR Drivers article no matter how many times it was deleted. I couldn't find any evidence of them actually existing and thought they were made up by some bored/hungry kid. So it's nice to know they actually were a thing.

I totally knew about this as a child after NR2003 came out and I bought it for myself along with NR4 and NR2002 after that. Until today, I never knew it was exactly like NR2002 graphics and animation wise. Good upload Radman! These Papyrus Videos take me all the way back to Michigan in the Lenore House when I played these games all the time growing up where I’d screw around most of the time in the Practice and Happy Hour Sessions 😂😂😂

Oh I know. But if you take a closer look at the menus, the car designs of the Monte Carlo and the guy who gives the command and the engine sounds, the game itself copy/paste of NR2002 with less features considering it was sandwiched in between NR2002 and NR2003 as a promo/teaser for the latter

Yes, absolutely it was a very first PC NASCAR game I’ve ever played either before or after that I got NASCAR heat the 2000 edition then either before or after that I got actual NASCAR racing season 2003 for my PC when I was a little boy. I miss those days. I wish I can get that back and playing on my laptop. iPhone and then learn these updates from you guys how to get these rosters and tracks and so forth.
I don't understand why people assume it's hard to mod nr2003 all you do is download and drop the files into the series or track folder.

for nr2002 and nr2003 there is a way to fix the rearview mirror what i mean is getting rid of the car interior part that makes it hard to see.
When in a race press the H key and it will show u a list of visual options. It will tell you the key u need to press to get rid of the interior in your mirror
