You will more than likely have to connect your speakers to your Macbook. You can change the sound output from your Macbook preferences.

Thoughts on if this would work as a small image to trace designs into wood maybe 12"x12" or smaller
......... It's a projector. You put on arm on the image you want to trace and it dissapears

I'm impressed with it! We use it with a white satin sheet for a screen in a theatre room with a good sound system. Some movies work very well others no. Fast action viewing not so good.

Using an apple hdmi to lighting connector (lightning to digital AV adaptor) can NOT stream Prime or Netflix or Hulu or Disney, every looks like it will play until you press Play then it freezes, but it does work with RUclips.

To people who own this: Does it perform good? Is the resolution good? The design and durability? Please tell me if you recommend this..
So I just got mine. Got myself a huge 150" screen for watching in my backyard so I placed the projector around 15 feet away. At that distance the focus knob was maxed out but the image was coming in clear. Kind of a delicate balancing act with that and keystone to get the best image. It is worth noting that while advertised as 1080, the actual resolution comes through at 480, no matter the input. For sound definitely use something external connected through an aux cord, the built in speakers are alright but nothing to write home about. I'd say if you're projecting on anything 120" or smaller this is a solid choice and like the video stated, you won't find anything better for the price. I'd recommend this for the average folk just trying have an outdoor movie night or even an inside one. Just don't expect the same quality you'd get from a projector costing 5-6x the price point.
The pixels are basically fused somehow, so you don't get 1080p. I project frim the computer, RUclips vudeo titles text in the sides is not readable. Some parts of the screen are focused while others are not. Outer sides are darker. You get what you pay for.

yes , and the cord is not very long at all. you will def. need an extension cord depending on where your outlet is. I am planning on returning mine.

I would say for beginners to just get it. It's something nice and affordable to start with. Obviously, once you get into more projections and stuff invest in a better and pricier one. Money comes and goes, I rather mess up this 100 dollar one as I get used to them before messing up a $400+ projector.
i have analysis paralysis when it comes to online tech shopping because I am always concerned about wasting money...this is the comment I needed to save my mental strain. gonna decide to just get something cheap like this to save myself the time and thinking lol

Can I connect a speaker via Bluetooth?
My Bluetooth speaker would connect but wouldn’t play sound. I think it has to due with wireless interference? I’m not too sure why. BUT when I connected my Bluetooth headset it worked flawlessly. So for my speaker I just use my aux port.
Look for a Bluetooth to aux cable adapter on Amazon and it will become Bluetooth enable

No my friend, it is not clear image and only nice if you can project parallel to the wall/canvas.
No, even for $100 it's not worth it. You can't control the optics in any way. You have to put it at just the right distance from the screen, at pretty much your eye level, and look at the screen with the stupid projector between you and the screen. Keystone does pretty much nothing, so you can't tilt and adjust the angle. No, it's not worth even the $100.
