*Urban Cowboy* was a crowning achievement indeed. You take a versatile actor like John Travolta and put him together with Debra Winger and you know something special is going to happen. And boy it did.
Great interview. Real talk with no attitude or poses or trying to get that next viral moment by acting stupid like Jennifer Lawrence. Just straight answers and real personality. I love it!
Debra Winger, what a woman and actress! Its hard for her to outrun Urban and O and G, just like Jim Gandolfini in Sopranos could never outrun that role as well.
This interview must have taken place in 1995. Near the end of the interview Debra Winger mentions Mickey and Ellen. These are characters from the movie Forget Paris, which premiered in 1995. This interview was probably intended to promote that movie.
One of our greatest actresses but by all accounts a very mean-spirited and difficult person to work with. Eventually Hollywood will decide that youre just not worth the trouble and find someone else especially if you’re a woman. Fair or unfair that’s just the way it is. It’s tragic to think about how many amazing performances we missed out on.
Some people are yes type, willing to sell their ass and soul to "be somebody" in Hollyweird. Debra Winger felt she didnt have to nor did she want to, not many do that so she has my respect. Her life turned out fine, done on her own terms. How many can say that...
I just think it was never just a job for her, and when stuff would come up that was just business motivated and being a foot soldier she didn’t want any of that.
In basically interview theres just 'something' very caustic and 'off' w/ her. Pity...great actress, very pretty and had a blockbuster run from 1980-84 but almost NO doubt the reason she plummeted was how abrasive, difficult and plain nasty she's widely rumored to be. Even at her best (or attempt at being 'likable) she reeks from a matter of when not if she gets 'difficult'

Debra Winger is an extraordinary actress.
I love her, I love her the way she is💖
Always have loved Debora Winger❤❤She is witty, humorous, and for me very down to earth.
Deborah has a soft beauty about her

De que año es esta entrevista?
I'm wondering if she auditioned for the role of Joanie Cunningham on _Happy Days_ before it was won by Erin Moran?
Too old. She would have been at least eighteen. Joanie was a character of the twelve/ thirteen year old range
Good actress. Very good in AOAAG. Red flag reputation.
What happened to the other girl Bud dated on Urban Cowboy when he was fighting with Sissy? She looked hotter!!
