    My 9 year old was rescued from a puppy mill and her poor nipples are torn apart and so messed up, it makes me sick to think about how may puppies she has had. She is terrified of everything.

      There are no responsible breeders. Till the shelters are empty and there is no more need for them.. then no one can justify breeding period.

    • @destinyhylen2687
      @destinyhylen2687 3 года назад +3

      @@TheRandynorris There will always be shelters and rescues because a lot of people take on the responsibility of caring for an animal and are either unable to handle it or have a change in living conditions that force them to have to give the animal away... Ending the breeding of dogs doesn't solve that, it would instead cause the dying out of the vast majority of breeds that aren't as popular as Labs, Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, and Chihuahuas, which can usually be found at local shelters. Plus, some popular shelters that do manage to home all animals in their care don't just stop there, there is documentation of them then importing "unwanted" animals from other countries. This sounds great until one realizes that those "unwanted" dogs could just have easily come from a scrupulous, international breeder, as from an upstanding shelter. Then there's also the sketchy documentation and medical records to consider when it comes to imported animals... Essentially it's a mess. The focus should be on educating the public, emphasis on thorough research before the purchase or adoption of an animal, and of course greater publicity for good charities, rescues, and legislation surrounding the treatment of animals rather than the elimination of breeding.

    There's some backyard breeders that are charging $3,500 for their puppies. Because a backyard breeder is someone that is not a code of ethics breeder. That means they're not doing all the necessary testing that OFA recommends for the breed. Their dogs have no show titles and if it's a working breed they have no working titles. So don't let a high price tag to lead you to believe you're dealing with a reputable breeder. Because that certainly isn't true. Whatever breed you're interested in I recommend you go to OFA and look up the recommended testing for that particular breed. Then ask your breeder to see the certificates for each parent of the litter. Ask if the parents have any show titles? Really dig and do your homework so you don't support someone that's using their dogs for ATM machine like Butler kennels in Texas

    Even though the dogs have somewhere to move about, they are just housed in a grey metal cage and seriously breeders, the dogs deserve so much better. I challenge the breeders to put themselves in the cage so that I can lock the door and throw away the keys.

    You are presenting the rottweiler breeder as if this was adequate. Electronic collars and tiny kennels??!
    You buy a rottweiler from there and expect this powerful guard dog breed to be kind, prefictable and gentle?! You are asking for a bite!
    And that counts for nearly every dog from a hoarder or mill. They can flip in the wrong hands because they have had that s*** upbringing against their nature. And in the end a person gets injured and a creature made to love, sold to play with and killed because they are not good enough, sick or turned from fearful, or hyper to aggressive.

      This is such a weirdly high number...like doing the math was she having 15 puppies a year? That would mean she was being breed EVERY SINGLE heat cycle with no breaks. Dogs usually have 2 heats a year. So after her puppies turned 6 months she was being bred again. :( Poor thing.
