Three stars for the accommodation and no stars for hosting.
The owner consistently failed to come back to me from start to finish.
The property was cold for half of my stay there, which I cut a day short because I'd had enough by then.
For the sake of being able to say she'd contacted me, the owner phoned me after I had left the property (having informed her a couple of hours previously that I was doing so).
To cap it all, I left an expensive pair of Salomon hiking boots behind at Fron Cottage. Not a word about that. I can only assume she had thrown them out.
I have stayed in properties in Wales with owners who have similar family circumstances, to this owner, but they never use it as an excuse to simply not bother about the quality of hosting for their guests.
This is the exception, not the norm.
Most Welsh owners are kind and generous. Not this one.
