It was a good song, Ukraine is great every year. About the "heavy hitter" thing - they are good because every year it's something different and a bit unexpected (and crazy if we talk about 2009 hehe) 5:53 - That Verka cameo though xD
You're so right! It's always so exciting to see what they send because they commit to whatever it is. And right! I noticed that as I was about to close out of the video lol.
OMG This jam is currently on my ON REPEAT playlist! Such a CLASSIC! It makes me super nostalgic! 2010 was such a GREAT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ukraine ALWAYS brings it!
To me, this has always been one of those songs that sounds like a late 2000's action/superhero movie song. I've always thought it had the same sound and vibe as song that'd be found in those types of movies. You can just imagine the main character (probably a guy) finding out thier loved one (probably thier girlfriend) has been captured by the main villain, then the music kicks in as the hero suits up for the final fight to save thier loved one. Maybe it's just me, but i've noticed a few songs like this in Eurovision, and they always make me think of final fight action/superhero movie music.
This is one of those songs that I quite like when i re-visit it, a song perhaps I'd forgotten. I agree, the strength of this song was in the vocal rather than the music. However, for me, the song just really doesn't really go anywhere - it doesn't take me on a journey, and by the end I'm not really any more fulfilled than I was at the beginning
It was really difficult year for Ukraine. At first there was internal selection. They selected a guy with ballad ruclips.net/video/xGcymBHG__E/видео.html. But people didn't like it so there was new National selection. Alyosha won it with song To Be Free ruclips.net/video/zqyTsAGAe4k/видео.html but the song was released few yers before on MySpace (someone says it was plagiarism) so EBU disqualified it after deadline but made an exception for her. So she wrote Sweet People only for one night
Great to be getting into a whole new year with you Jordan. I'm kinda already choosing my selections for the off-week!. I get why this one finished top 10 at the time, but to be honest it's not one I check out to listen to again
Good song, strong powerful voice. I just wish her pronunciation was a bit more articulated - I literally could not understand half of the song... Other than that everything's really cool 😎
one of the most underrated song in eurovision history
Yes!!!!
Also one of my favourites of 2010
It was a really great song and performance. Underestimated in 2010 :(
Great song, vocals, fantastic long note in the end

One of the best Ukrainian performance in Eurovision. Thank for your estimate!
Now she's preparing to give birth to the third baby😀🤟🏻

You know I didn't even think of that but now that you mentioned it I need to go back and watch it with this in mind. I can totally see it lol.
