I'd love it if they incorporated chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, horses, and cows into the vet career livestock vet is a real profession and quite important for farmers and ranchers.
Some additions I think there should have been: - The ability to knit horse blankets and socks - Additional horse/sheep/goat themed cross stitch patterns - An afterschool club/activity for kids that worked like scouts that was based on farming. Kids could advance by doing chores, gardening, taking care of animals. - The horse trailer object should have been a new woohoo spot - New horse decorations for high school lockers - New posts for social bunny about ranch related content - New animal based degree for university - Group rides on horses as a club activity - A leather working skill to make saddles/bridles or repair them/sell them - Fame for winning horses - A Horse as a familiar for spell casters I don't have the pack but I assume there are new milestones. Does anyone know? If not, that would be on the list too.
So many missed opportunities. I know modders will add some of these features eventually, but it's a little sad that there's a need for like 10+ mods from LittleMsSam and others to add proper compatibility.
Exactly. And I love mods and modders and they do such a great job, but it's such a pain in the a&% to have to check, monthly, if your mods are fine or broken, and if you need to update them, and the more mods you have, the longer it takes to do all that
@@SimCatsie This is why I eagerly await the end of updates for the Sims 4 and I only add mods for the most annoying failures/design choices. I believe modders could make this into a decent game, but not with EA continuing to curse them with updates.
Since this pack is about horses, there are so many horse things missing. Like horse blankets/rugs, halter/lead/bridle clutter to hang on the wall, grain and the harvestables to make it yourself. Large animal careers like farrier or large animal vet. Round pens, hot walkers. More in depth interaction with the competitions AT LEAST as much as in TS3, but honestly considering TS4 is almost 10 years old, should be better than in TS3. Travel with your horse via the horse trailer (like Star Stable) would have been a cute little feature. Using a wheelbarrow or muck tub to clean the stalls/beds. Instead of the manure just turning into fertilizer when you put it in your inventory, they should have added a composter and/or compost pile to convert to fertilizer. I'm sure there's so much more that really should have been added for the EP price tag.
@@boybriarin some ways they’re more in depth in Sims 4 in that there are more competitions and skills to level, but in the Sims 3 you could actually see how the competition was going via a leaderboard, and feel more involved by getting to choose to keep steady, take risks, or go for broke, to try and affect how the competition was going
There's a LOT there that they could have added, and I'm surprised they didn't especially for fun little pack cross compatibility (like eco lifestyle with the manure to compost would make sense). But I would guess they are hesitant to put too much gameplay locked behind certain expansions. That would feel like even more of a money grab for sure. I honestly feel like this is a great opportunity for kits. I know that's controversial, but if you could customize your horse gameplay with an add on of like, English Equestrian tack and clothing and barn clutter. Those that want it, could get it, but don't have to. Also, I hope cc creators come out with a bunch of stuff... Because I want more english riding content.
They could've added so much more customization too. Why do cats and dogs get a multitude of accessories, coat variations, voice options, option to be fixed/infertile or not, etc, and horses don't? There's so little tail and mane options, too.
Are horses scared of werewolves? Are there nectars for aliens or mermaids? What about strangerville - can you make a possession nectar? Can horses get possessed? Or Jungle Adventure - how well does it work to try to ride your horse through the jungle? Can you ride horses on the Snowy Escape and growing together hiking trails? Do horses react to spirits in a haunted house?
I always wonder how many features from any pack will make it to Get Together clubs from any given pack - it seems hit and miss at times. For instance, vampire powers is a club activity but there does not seem to be anything werewolf related. For Horse Ranch, I was a bit disappointed that nectar making or horse-specific activities were not added to the club activity system. Riding together, practicing the horse skills, etc. seem like obvious club activities. I also wonder if the Care for Animals activity from an earlier pack includes the mini animals from Horse Ranch. Maybe this will be patched in later - I swear I've seen these activities added after pack release, but maybe that is my imagination.
i'm also disappointed but after thinking for a bit on how hard that would be to implement (i can't think of a way that would go smoothly), i think i can cut the devs some slack for this
@@binimbap You can hike/walk as a group and ride bikes as a group so they have the means to implement it. This is a situation where they either overlooked it or choose not to include it.
I feel like one of the easiest careers they could've added would be a new career path (either an extension to the culinary career or on its own) where the title is "nectar taster" and your daily task would be to "sample nectar" would just be an easy way to add some extra gameplay for the nectar side so it's not 100% horse related
I think they just assume there’s enough self-employed type jobs already? You can start a vineyard/winery and make money from selling nectar. You can become a horse breeder/trainer and make money selling horses. You can become a champion rider and make money from competitions. And you can start a horse rescue and make money through the two new fundraising events. So they didn’t bother adding another rabbit hole career when there were ones you could play. 🤷🏼♀️
@@bookcat123 while this is true, there are some simmers (myself included) kind of like sometimes to have a rabbit hole job they disappear to for a few hours and then return with some money in the household funds. Allows me to focus on other members and stuff while they’re away ☺️ just would’ve been a couple easy text boxes to satiate that need but oh well maybe next time 😅
Sad about the missed opportunities. The lack of crossplay makes the horse ranch feel very isolated from all the rest (minus Cottage Living. Though, I heard, the animal lover trait doesn't include horses and that is just another oversight.) Would have loved more integration into the other packs.
@@EnglishSimmer That's inconsistent though. Cats and dogs have individual traits, but the general animal trait still boosts relationship gain with them, and I'd not want it to be otherwise.
@@EnglishSimmerbut it should definitely include it just like every other animal in game sonthen u dont have to use all personality slots in game just to make ur.sim like all animals
I was lucky enough to have my game paused after mounting 2 sims on horses and click energised ride and they were one in front of the other, but i think it was just luck, really wish they had added trek together. Also having your dog go too would have been a cool thing to add too.
As someone who lives in a rural part of the US that’s similar to the world this pack is based on, I can kind of understand the team not doing the cross pack with the existing veterinarian career. There’s definitely a distinction made between pet vets and farm vets where I live. A friend of mine that owns horses and cows and chickens would take those to her friend whose a farm vet while she’d take her dog to the pet vet. In fact, where I live we have specialty pet vets that run dog clinics or cat clinics or small animal clinics (hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks) or reptile clinics, etc to choose from as well. I do agree, though, that it was a missed opportunity to perhaps add farm veterinarian as a career and perhaps make it cross pack compatible with cottage living since where I’m from farm vets basically specialize in all farm animals. In fact in my state we have a major university whose veterinary degree program is one of the highest rated in the US and even it has specialization between farm and pet categories. But EA’s/Maxis’ office are located in a suburb of metro San Francisco so maybe most of the folks who work there aren’t familiar with this or maybe some executive didn’t want to do it. I mean, they literally could’ve just made it a rabbit hole career and I think folks would’ve been fine with it. Heck, they probably could’ve used a lot of the same game mechanics and animations with the existing vet career if they wanted to make it a playable career. So that’s why I think it wasn’t the game designers decision and instead someone higher up who axed the idea if it was even an idea to begin with. Thanks for showing off the cross pack stuff! I appreciate getting to see it! I’ll admit I mostly wait on buying packs/kits, etc, until I see Sims RUclipsrs playing/using it in their gameplay to determine if it’s something I even want and if I do want it by how much. I’ll admit that I’m not a big fan of farming games (I literally live surrounded by farms and ranches and I like to play games to escape reality not indulge in what already exists for me) so when this pack was announced I was less than excited about it. Though understand why there were people who were/are excited. However, seeing items that remind me a lot of where I live and watching some videos of you all playing it has started to make me reconsider getting the pack. I’m in no rush to get it, but it’s went from “eh, no thanks” and “well, maybe” to “okay, that does seem kinda neat” and “my birthday is in September and it could be a fun gift to myself.”
yes this came to mind too, they could have made a brand new farm vet career instead of integrating it with the existing one, since they differ enough to justify it!
There definitely are vets who specialise in both pets and farm animals. My vet does that. So if they could only fathom to make a crosspack feature, but not a completely new career, they should at least have made vets able to treat horses as well...
Or have an NPC vet come to the ranch to cure the horses like they do in real life with big animals. No one takes their cows, horses, sheep, etc to the vet's office they go to the farms. Or you get to pick a vet like bartenders and djs to come to the farms/ranches if you have pets installed and I'm sure anyone buying this pack has Cats and Dogs.
Or just include the vet gameplay from Cats and Dogs. They wouldn’t really be taking away from another pack, and there would be more gameplay in horse ranch.
@stwpitt Or they could do it like the active careers and let your Sim visit lots with horses to cure but that would probably get old quickly. I feel like there are multiple options but yeah.
At the very least it could have been a service like the ranch hand or repair man where you can call an npc to come to your ranch. There could have been a new animation and a random cause/price with a pop up at the end.
I can just imagine Vlad drinking a whole bottle of plasma nectar and passing out on the floor. That could add some drama and character depth to a playthrough, especially after editing him a whole bunch. Imagine a storyline where he gets married, and then his spouse finds out about his secret alcoholism. Edit: If I get the pack, I think I'll edit Vlad, make a bunch of nectar, and play a playthrough of him as a celebrity organ player with a secret nectar problem.
@@nerodiseppia99 You can! At least at the produce stand but you apparently get better prices selling in the new world's shop on Sundays I think it's a 10% price markup.
Thanks, molly, for looking into these cross pack compatible features. It would've been nice if horses could get sick of injured and vets could make house calls to treat them. If someone didn't have that pack, then these features wouldn't exist. But then the vet career wasn't considered when "Cottage Living" came out either.
With neighborhood stories, Caleb from Vampires ended up with a horse over in Forgotten Hollow and I keep seeing him riding around at night in the Horse Ranch world. 😂
I was disappointed about how little interaction with the Cats & Dogs there was (yet again), but I did crack up when my horse was harassing my chickens.
The lack of group riding disappoints me the most out of these. Not too surprised there’s no club rule for horseback riding, but they couldn’t at least have a basic “ride here together” interaction 😞
Our veterinarian was qualified in a range of animals, including farm/ranch animals. The career should have been updated. Note: The SIms Team updates Packs to be cross compatible all the time. Newer packs have had things added to the Get Together clubs, weather occurs on all maps, et cetera. It is Not DLC for DLC. It is a Free Update. That is just My Opinion though.
I wonder if you could call the dog with the whistle icon on the dog while your are on the horse. I do that when jogging and the dogs follow. Not sure if you can do that on a bike, I don't use the bikes much. If it can be done with a bike it should work with the horse. You might have to call them a couple times along the way depending on the distance your sims is going.
I actually don't like you have to have the horse in your household at all times. In real life a horse wouldn't always live with their owner. I think having stables with horses staying there but you still owning them for worlds where it is not suitable to have them there it would have been a good option.
@@nerodiseppia99 I don’t use mods but I did have a family own a ‘holiday’ home. I set it as retail (so you need get to work) hid the till and didn’t ever open for business. Then they could visit whenever they wanted.
I’m not personally interested in the occults but expansions, as you said, should absolutely expand the game. If you have bought say cats and dogs there is no loss in value if they now treat the other animals including cows llamas and chickens (dare I say even the hamsters🤣) it is expanding on what you have paid for. I also wanted to have riding together, a riding club perhaps. I hope that in the worlds with space Cottage Living, Brindleton bay and Windenberg that you can ride around them . If not this pack is very limiting. I won’t want my sims to live in Chestnut Ridge for long, I need 2 story home with 4 bedrooms and good garden space for swings, tree house, chicken coop, veg growing and a pond! I’m not a builder but do it when I have to and it takes hours of my playing time.
2:55 The description on the bottle warns drinking too much will cause a werewolf to lose control so I think it adds to fury but solves hunger? This could be useful for the Carnivore trait since your sim will only eat meat or fish they hunt themselves. It could probably also help with the balancing act of Hungry Like The Wolf since low hunger makes your fury increase and you get hungry much faster. A small amount of fury gained would be worth it for the large amount of hunger each drink satisfies. BTW, can you have mini goats or sheep in apartments?
Imo it could have worked like the doctor career in get to work where getting high enough in the career enables getting house calls to go take care of sims but for vets and horses. And if you owned a horse and it got sick you could call the vet for a visit.
Animal lovers have some advantages with the horses and mini creatures i wish you could take your dog for a run with horse, and that the cats could ride a horse with you. and I also wish horses have a few more traits and self discovery moment
Thank you for this video! I'm actually trying to decide if I buy the new pack or not. I'm still not very convinced because the could have added so much more in terms of compatibility with other packs, but at least they added some stuff... I don't know, it feels so empty for an expansion pack. I feel that Parenthood, being a game pack, has more gameplay than this expansion pack on horses!
My cats are actually kind of obsessed with wool. I took up needle felting and made the mistake of letting my cats play with my early pieces, and now they think all wool is for them. They will steal dryer balls, and I don't hate it. I would love to see them interact with a sheep, with wool from the source. They leave socks alone.
Can robots drink nectar? Or ride horses? Do they have a special kind of nectar they can make? Is there bizarre fruit nectar? Can you place mini sheep and goats on vacation destinations (including Batuu)? What about PlantSim and skeleton nectars? And mermaids? Aliens?
Oh wow, the main way i knew about knitting animal clothes was by scrolling through the debug, so i thought the clothes for foxes were also knittable things. It’s kind of sad that the cows, dogs, cats, foxes, goats, and sheep don’t get anything knittable :(
I tried to create a club for nectar tasting for the nectar duo and my sim, but guess what? It’s not listed in any traits or interactions in the club settings. Eating grilled cheese is though… very annoying. And they’ve not added new icons to the clubs either since the pack was released. Hopefully they go back through and sort cross packs features for older games. I just want my girls and Dani to come to my ranch for nectar tasting sessions, grape smashing and gossiping. Whyyyy noooot? Edit: I guess I could pour servings and drink as group or call to meal, I’ll give it a go tomorrow. But I want to be able to do it via clubs and receive payment or something. We can teach yoga to a club and get tips…
I think there's a ton of game play - I've been nonstop for two days and still working on the Championship racer aspiration, You have to have the horse training equipment and the giant play balls on your property. It's a lot of work, and those little animals are high maintenance - and if you are an animal lover (from cottage living) the communication options are available on the little goats and lambs. It's cool to call the hot ranch hand over to help. There are also those new event gatherings you can hold which are very fun. // The new CAS items are to die for gorgeous - as is the world and build/buy. This is a top 5 of all time for me.
P.S. the longer you play and skills and relationships go up - there is a TON of autonomous interaction between the horses and small animals (I haven't played with cats and dogs yet).
Hello, thank you for the video. I'm still curious about some things about the occult nectars. Mainly, does humans have special moodlets when they drink occult nectars? Or even if a vampire drink a spellcaster nectar ?
I was thinking the same thing. Just like in real life if your farm animal is sick you call the vet and they come out to you. So they could have done it if you had that pack you could call a vet up much like you can order a ranch hand or butler and have them turn up to treat the horse. I wonder how they would have animated it? I guess similar to how it's done in cats and dogs, then they get given a wellness treat which fixes the issue. Riding out together would have been great. In my head i already had a story set out, one guy inherited the ranch and him and his other half move in fix it up. they resuce horses and turn the place into a rescue home. He teches him how to ride and they go off for evening rides.
My experience with the community; there's a big debate on pack integration. Is it good or is it DLC 4 DLC? There's players who do support needing say Cats & Dogs so horses get sick and can go to the vet and our vet sims can treat horses. But then we all remember the outrage with Snowy Escape even though the DLC had the idea the mountain makes snow do you don't need seasons. Someone commented how they wish the rock wall would be added to other worlds. Anyway, seems like they did good with pack incorporation with this pack but still missed opportunities that may or may not anger players.
Hmm. Yeah, I can understand both sides. Personally, I wouldn't say it's DLC 4 DLC only because it's sort of the basis for what cross pack compatibility is. While the Vet is maybe different because it's a more physical thing, it's sort of like how University Degrees give you a jump in all careers regardless of pack. The idea is that one feature from a pack could potentially benefit others in some way if the team should chose to include it. Of course this is small compared to the Vet lol. I actually love Mt. Komorebi for having it's own Snowy area and I prefer it than Seasons. But according to the Wiki (not sure how credible that is but lol) Yukimatsu does have a some differences with Seasons installed compared to not.
i don’t feel that way AT ALL, packs do need (in my opinion) to have crosspack compatibility bc if not they would feel isolated. Like one time i play with horses one time with family gameplay and they would not feel reality whatsoever or eithet full in a sense, they would just be flat.
you need to be an occult to get access to them unfortunately. so vampires are the only ones to get plasma, werewolves for moon petal and spellcasters for valarian
I feel very proud of myself for noticing that Vlad and Lou had the 'saved from death' moodlets during the nector section, before he died during the video in the interaction section 😂 Also fun fact i noticed: after my mother horse got taken away for being too hungry while nursing her foal, i assumed i would have to solely hand and bottle feed the foal, but then she started nursing off my other mare, completly unrelated to her, who'd never had a foal yet! Not sure if i like that or feel like it's an oversight with the nursing system.
I turned a big apartment into a fake outdoor area and teleported a horse up using the playable pets mod. I have to teleport it back down if I want to go on a ride, but otherwise it works fine
They could have made vet house calls for horses at least. Like if you had the pack the horse would get sick sometimes opening the option for a vet house call.
Does the ranch hand help out with the cottage living animals? I always thought they should have added a farm hand to cottage living so it would be great if it did!
Spellcasters cannot mount a horse if a familiar is summoned. I wonder if there is a black sheep that gives black wool, but where is the golden sheep? Only a llama is needed for golden wool? It is a pity that they did not come up with goat's milk. We have a trait of lactose intolerance, but some children and adults are allergic to cow's milk, so they drink goat's milk.
I also noticed they haven't updated the info for wool in the notebook, it just says the wool comes from Llamas :/ Also I noticed your mini sheep got dirty and unhappy, how long did it take? I've had them for several days in game but they don't have any negative moods as all, everything is still just great, wonder if I have a bug?
Hii I was wonder if you could help me I have both cats and dogs pack and the horses pack although when I went to create my sims and animals it didn’t give the option for a dog and I was wondering how you got yours
This pack doesn’t seem to have added any new books for sale. Also, why aren’t all the books for sale at home available to read at the various libraries?
I just want more jobs and aspirations! The game feels very thin in those areas and this pack had the potential to add more than 2 aspirations and ANY careers since there were none. Some kind of horse trainer aspiration rather than just a competition aspiration would’ve been nice. Horse breeder asp maybe since you can breed and sell the horses. Add a family asp relating to horses like “big happy ranch” where the goal is to have x amount of fully trained horses or befriend that number of horses. Then for jobs why not add a ranch hand job since you can hire ranch hands? Farrier, ranch manager, show rider careers. Add stable hand odd jobs to the regular odd job spot rather than just the community board. Maybe make a part time ranch/stable or trainer job that’s super early in the morning like 4 or 5am to 7am that teens could do before school, etc. Horse whisperer job maybe tying into training or even the paranormal aspects of the game? Let me sell the fertilizer on plopsy. Let me craft feed and water troughs at the workbench (not sure if that’s a thing already or not, I only bought the pack yesterday and haven’t explored everything yet.) I think it’d be cute if you could introduce infants to horses like how you can introduce them to other sims. Add new things you can paint at the easel so I can paint horses, mini sheep and goats, a saloon, a Chestnut Ridge sunset or sunrise, people line dancing, etc. There’s just so much wasted potential here. I wish it were possible for some of us, especially those of us that have been playing since the first sims game, to actually get jobs working with the sims team to help with ideas of how to give players the best experience possible with new packs. I feel like sometimes the sims team just doesn’t even think about how different features can work together with things that are already in the game and instead focuses on adding brand new things. I’d much rather have a pack be able to incorporate seamlessly with base game or other packs (without necessarily requiring those packs) as if the features were always there rather than having brand new stuff that does work well with what I already have.
The lack of cross-pack compatibility has been what's keeping me from buying the last several packs. It feels like the devs are not only dropping the ball when it comes to ironing out bugs before launch, but also making the worlds both immersive and interactive between each other. Every time they release an expansion it feels almost completely standalone and it makes buying multiple packs feel like a complete waste of money. Mods and CC are now my go-to.
This pack has massive cross-pack compatibility with Cottage Living, Knitting, Eco Lifestyle, Get Together, Vampires, Magic, & Werewolves. It's as if some of you don't even play this game.
@@NicoleLaurenEsq I said it feels "almost completely standalone". I also said that the lack of cross-compatibility has made made me rethink buying the *most recent packs*. I have literally every pack you listed. I'm actually quite disappointed with their lack of Game Pack releases because it seemed like that's where the dev team really shined when it came to compatibility, specifically between the Werewolves/Magic/Vampires packs. Anyway, if you like it that's fine. Play it. I'm just stating how I feel about what I believe to be missed opportunities.
Thank you ❤ I have been wondering if sims, especially child sims, can ride/care for horses that are in a different household and gain horse riding skill? I'm really hoping to set up a riding stable that sims that can't own horses can access.
i’m sure it’s possible! i don’t think they’d limit that to only horses in the played household. although you probably can’t “direct horse to…” unless you’re already mounted on it (bc you don’t own it and therefor don’t have control over it). but i’ll double check all of this tomorrow for u
Something for you forgot to test, but I found out… you can’t make a horse a spellcaster familiar. Also too bad. That would have been an easy addition probably.
I have seen animals from cottage living and horse ranch and cats and dogs interacting a little. My chickens are loud and keep startling my sheep and goats and when goats get scared, they scream and faint. 🤦🏻♀️😂
Humans cant make occult nectars? That's annoying. Why would I want a nectar-making vampire? Does EA not understand that division of labor is the backbone of a functioning society? My wife discovered that riding horses outside of Chestnut Ridge doesn't work. Game completely locked up when she tried riding in Oasis Springs. Another thing I'm curious about with nectar is whether you can give it to the specters in a haunted house. They like handmade stuff, does nectar qualify? In general, this has been my favorite pack. Maybe I'm more country than I thought. But I like the aesthetics, I like the horses, and I like the nectar. Still, I think it falls into the same pattern as every other pack. That being, it adds a ton of busywork that makes it impossible to do more than one thing. The goats are constantly needing attention, prairie grass needs harvested, horses need attention.... God forbid you add a llama or try to develop a skill. Anyone who lives on a ranch needs to be handy, should know some gardening, probably woodworking. Good luck trying to learn all that while frying a grilled cheese every ten minutes, sleeping, and working a full-time job.
I'd love it if they incorporated chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, horses, and cows into the vet career livestock vet is a real profession and quite important for farmers and ranchers.
I'm hoping someone figures out how to make a mod for this
At the very least horses!
Some additions I think there should have been:
- The ability to knit horse blankets and socks
- Additional horse/sheep/goat themed cross stitch patterns
- An afterschool club/activity for kids that worked like scouts that was based on farming. Kids could advance by doing chores, gardening, taking care of animals.
- The horse trailer object should have been a new woohoo spot
- New horse decorations for high school lockers
- New posts for social bunny about ranch related content
- New animal based degree for university
- Group rides on horses as a club activity
- A leather working skill to make saddles/bridles or repair them/sell them
- Fame for winning horses
- A Horse as a familiar for spell casters
I don't have the pack but I assume there are new milestones. Does anyone know? If not, that would be on the list too.
Or even simpler a horse riding lessons after school for kids so they at least have SOMETHING to do
also a mechanical bull
Imagine a 4H club for kids where they could show the little mini sheep and goats in a rabbit hole!
Yes, horse milestones exist. Cows and llamas also interact with mini goats and sheep.
These suggestions are so good. If they were in game this would be my fav pack.

Not being able to go for a ride together is INFURIATING… hoping the modders come through for us 😭
Right? Horse rides at sunset are so romantic! And going for a ride with your kids would be so cute!
I know, they should have been able to make trails like the walking trails in other worlds and just made it so they could be ridden too.
i'm also disappointed but after thinking for a bit on how hard that would be to implement (i can't think of a way that would go smoothly), i think i can cut the devs some slack for this
@@binimbap You can hike/walk as a group and ride bikes as a group so they have the means to implement it.
that would’ve been so easy and so cool at the same time. Also i feel like it would’ve added a lot to the pack
Though, I heard, the animal lover trait doesn't include horses and that is just another oversight.) Would have loved more integration into the other packs.
animal doesn’t include horses bc horse lover is it’s own new trait
@@EnglishSimmer That's inconsistent though. Cats and dogs have individual traits, but the general animal trait still boosts relationship gain with them, and I'd not want it to be otherwise.
Overall, just very little thought or care is going into this gameplay.
@@EnglishSimmerbut it should definitely include it just like every other animal in game sonthen u dont have to use all personality slots in game just to make ur.sim like all animals
Animal lover should include horses because dog and cat lover are their own traits, yet theyre still included in animal lover
The werewolf one, moonpetal, says it has effects if too much is drunk. So maybe instead of passing out, they lose control and go full werewolf.
Finally the horse shoe throwing game from Outdoor Retreat makes sense in the game.
They could have made a rabbit hole vet option in the pack. That way they get the vet job yet they don't take away from another pack.
I love this sort of investigations 😂
The cross stitch isn’t free because of the hoop. Can you make garlic nectar??😮
i also wanted to see if you can sell the nectar at the stores from cottage living
Dogs hearding sheep/animals? I would’ve loved that! Forgot that I got an Australian sheep dog in one family just for a ranch!
I'm hoping in a later update we get more cross pack things but I have a feeling that they'll push another game/stuff pack
I bet it will be a kit
You might have to call them a couple times along the way depending on the distance your sims is going.
oh trueeeee
11:32 Hey bob... uh, what'cha doing there buddy? 😅
20:30 the way I bust out laughing at the herd coming to finally eat.
Glad I found your channel. RUclips just never recommended it even though I regularly watch Sims content
Apparently drinking too much nectar and passing out can give you a milestone
yeah it can! talked about that in my gameplay overview
I actually don't like you have to have the horse in your household at all times. In real life a horse wouldn't always live with their owner. I think having stables with horses staying there but you still owning them for worlds where it is not suitable to have them there it would have been a good option.
this would be solved if we could have the option of owning a second house in the sims 4… but unfortunately they didn’t add that either yet
8:08 just what I expected: shoes confirmed 😂
I’m fully about to make an eras tour shirt that says ‘karma is my bestie? No truck is my bestie’ 😂😂
i DARE u
@@EnglishSimmer daring me isn’t fair because now my brain sees it as a challenge and I HAVE to 😂😂
Can robots drink nectar? Or ride horses? Do they have a special kind of nectar they can make? Is there bizarre fruit nectar? Can you place mini sheep and goats on vacation destinations (including Batuu)? What about PlantSim and skeleton nectars? And mermaids? Aliens?
Oh wow, the main way i knew about knitting animal clothes was by scrolling through the debug, so i thought the clothes for foxes were also knittable things. It’s kind of sad that the cows, dogs, cats, foxes, goats, and sheep don’t get anything knittable :(
Flashback Mary from the Ghosts show??? Love that reference.
Or even if a vampire drink a spellcaster nectar ?
that is what i was wondering too!!!
I was hoping there could be bridal carriage rides because I was a Victorian carriage bride. That was my big princess moment.
I've been deep diving into nectar making and I can tell you it's such money-milk. 🥰
I haven't found the occult nectar recipes yet.
you need to be an occult to get access to them unfortunately. so vampires are the only ones to get plasma, werewolves for moon petal and spellcasters for valarian
It bothers me that I can't have a proper billy goat. The option to milk is always there for all goats.
I feel very proud of myself for noticing that Vlad and Lou had the 'saved from death' moodlets during the nector section, before he died during the video in the interaction section 😂
Also fun fact i noticed: after my mother horse got taken away for being too hungry while nursing her foal, i assumed i would have to solely hand and bottle feed the foal, but then she started nursing off my other mare, completly unrelated to her, who'd never had a foal yet! Not sure if i like that or feel like it's an oversight with the nursing system.
They should add more cross pack features in Sims directs. Just as a way to fine tune things like interactions you expect to be there but aren’t.
I wish the water through was added to the objects that you can order when vacationing ( the feeder is available but not the water)
I thought goats were mini demons but the cat sniffing the sheep from the inside is a whole other level! 😈
I would have loved to have the tiny cowboy hats for cats, dogs, and toddlers lol
I turned a big apartment into a fake outdoor area and teleported a horse up using the playable pets mod. I have to teleport it back down if I want to go on a ride, but otherwise it works fine
unfortunately only a workaround for those who are able to download mods tho but nice to know it works
They could have made vet house calls for horses at least. Like if you had the pack the horse would get sick sometimes opening the option for a vet house call.
I think you’re right about the vet issues.
I imagine knitting is free because you have all you need, while for cross stitch the cost is for the hoop.
I really hoped you could take your horses to the bet but it doesn't look like that's a thing they don't get ill!
It sucks that you cannot ride together. I wonder if horses work for the trails/hiking in Mt. Komorebi, they may be able to "ride together" then.
Thanks!...was looking for this video.
Does the ranch hand help out with the cottage living animals? I always thought they should have added a farm hand to cottage living so it would be great if it did!
I'm- why did you- NOW MY BRAIN IS PLAYING "WHOOO LET THE DOGS OOOUT (WOOF, WOOF, WOOF WOOF)" ON LOOP :(((
excited for this :D
Can you show if the Ranch Hand takes care of other animals like cows, chickens, llamas, cats and dogs?
What about with foxes and rabbits? mermaids? And in the very snowy world neighborhoods if there are any interactions
I’m curious if the special treats work on the horses and goats
Love this idea!!
What about mermaids do they have an occult nectar drink?
Can you make a horseback riding club? Can you take a horseback riding skill class at university?
Why would they be at the university lmfao
@@katiekaliber because the electives system is fully integrated with other packs like bowling and knitting, etc.
nope! horse riding (or any activities to do with horse gameplay) and nectar making aren't part of the club system

yes thei work with the cotage living verry good.

Can you show if it is possible to make a Nektar store with get to work and if the ranch helper take also care of the farm animals from cottage living

This pack doesn’t seem to have added any new books for sale. Also, why aren’t all the books for sale at home available to read at the various libraries?
there’s a horse riding skill book that much i do know
Where is your adorable Bob P from?
My god I just saw how long this was 😅 sorry for the novel.
ahahaha its okay!! i love doing these types of videos so that you can have your say ❤️
All occults? No mermaid kelp nectar?
Can you have goats and sheep in your apartment?
i dont see any crossplay for get together no new clubs.
Can horse become a fimilliar for the spellcaster?
Thank you ❤
I have been wondering if sims, especially child sims, can ride/care for horses that are in a different household and gain horse riding skill? I'm really hoping to set up a riding stable that sims that can't own horses can access.
i’m sure it’s possible! i don’t think they’d limit that to only horses in the played household. although you probably can’t “direct horse to…” unless you’re already mounted on it (bc you don’t own it and therefor don’t have control over it). but i’ll double check all of this tomorrow for u
@@EnglishSimmerThank you 🥰

it doesn’t work like that for any of the others so i doubt it will but i can try
You forgot aliens and mermaids or did they not get a special nectar
The foals will nurse on mares that are not their mother
Something for you forgot to test, but I found out… you can’t make a horse a spellcaster familiar. Also too bad. That would have been an easy addition probably.
yeeee i mentioned it at the end ☺️
@@EnglishSimmer oh sorry. I commented this with like 1 minute left of the video! My bad! Adhd brain jumping the gun.
Have there been horses as familiars in witch lore? Media? Not sure what word I'm looking for. Hmm not even sure if a dog can be a familiar.
ahahaha don’t worry it’s all good!!
yes dogs can be familiars
I’m annoyed that humans can’t just make the occult nectars, my sim has a whole bunch of plasma fruits she could be helping her vampire pals with.
Shame selling on table with Mark up doesn't contribute to the aspiration for nectar making of selling wine 500,00...
oh BLOODY HELL
