The amount of times I have issues with the game so I google the problem just to find MULTIPLE bug reports on the official sims forums from ~8 years ago complaining about the same issue that was never fixed doesn't make me at all hopeful about EA getting their shit together lol
I'd love to know if they could use AI to pull the reports together, there is a team there now looking at taking on bugs but I wonder if some common bugs are lower down the order because they've been described in multiple ways
I really want baking as an aspiration and a job, and some sort of dancing update, maybe with ballet or tap dancing, and a career and aspiration to go with it. I also really want more things to do with elders that are elder specific. Most other stages have specific traits, aspirations, careers/activities, etc. so I think elders need new conversation topics, at least one new skill, some sort of rabbit hole Senior Center where they can slowly earn skills.
It would be cool if there was a variable schedule for the senior center rabbit hole. Like Monday they learn painting, Tuesday they learn the dancing skill, Wednesday could be shuffleboard or the fitness skill, etc.
I love this, and I'd love more family aspirations or popularity aspirations like a family aspirations that's all about showing off how skilled all of your family is. And a popularity that's based on being the best neighbour maybe you have to know all your neighbour's have shared so many dinners with them it should come with a phonecall anytime neighbour's move so you can be the welcome wagon and turn up with fruitcake. Maybe you'd have to give a certain amount of gifts they like and recieve at least one gift in return for being a good neighbour. I'd love more physical aspirations and careers as well. Dancer, Fitness instructor Swimming teacher, cyclist just as rabbithole careers, should be easy enough to do. And maybe a more balanced take on being physically excellent? Something that could be achieved as long as you do several types of excersize and become excellent at at least one of them eg. Yoga, fitness, dancing and maintain a balanced physique for some time, rather than having to aim for highest muscle lowest fat trying to keep steady somewhere in the middle...
I would love an update in haircolours, with a lot of pastels and a dark purple swatch. Another thing I never hear/see people mention that I really want is for more placeable vfx animals, like butterflies, squirrels/rodents, frogs, birds, reptiles etc. I love using the ones that came with the terrain tool + pond update with cottage living, but the options are so limited and I just think those things bring so much life to builds. Also, I desperately want more garden plants and potted indoor plants with acutal flowers. Most indoor flowers are in vases.
Somewhat Relatedly, I want more minor pets like the ones from ts3 that exist out in the world like interactable effects but can be caught and kept in a terrarium and cared for. I agree that having animals and insects and such in the world really does make it feel more real.
@reading1713 I would love that too! I think that might come in packs from time to time, like the crow in Life & Death. I wish the crow had come in a few swatches though, like a white albino. My og comment was what I wish for as a BG update 😊
I would personally love to see in TS4: -Updated textures on older base game hair -Pastel hair and eyes -Pastel skin colors -More Black hairstyles -New Piercing -New instruments-drums,accordion,flute,harmonica,cello,harp,trumpet etc. -Separate bank accounts and saving account (I would personally like a bank system similar to SNB mod) -South Korea inspired world -African Inspired world -Poland Inspired world -Another Japan Inspired world (I was thinking of the city world this time around) -Traditional Slavic Clothes (base game or/and kit) -Slavic Home Decor (base game or/and kit) -Traditional Polish Food (in the base game) -New toys for kids (toy kitchen, toy laundry set, cashier toy set, band toy set,tea set, small plushies etc.) -New toys for toddlers (toy kitchen, toy telephone, basketball hoop,Rock-a-Stack,Xylophone etc.) -Ballet Career,Tattoo Artist Career,Mangaka Career -Burglars -Fairies Game Pack -Cyber Goth CAS Kit -Spiral Stairs -Pool table -Arcade machines -New beds for cats/dogs -New hobbies-skateboarding,glassblowing,pottery,scrapbooking,soap making, golfing, sewing clothes, ballet -New playground equipment-slides,carousel,rocking horse etc. -Being able to completely customize the apartments and hallways in san myshuno-changing the front door,moving/deleting the rat hole,moving/deleting the pipes and electrical box,and getting ride off lot challenges if we want to (I'm glad we can delete/move windows now,but I hope for a little bit more customization in the future)
Okay so these are all good wants! I would like to share my own as well^^ I am a bit of a history nerd and have all sorts of odd hobbies, ones I'd love to see in game! -Shoe Making! The old way not machine, though i guess a machine option would be neat. Just imagining my sims, especially my poorer sims, making shoes for themselves or their families brings joy. -Hat making! Oh I would love to make hats. -Weaving! I would love to see my sims weave baskets, mats, and even art! -Metalworking! The ability to make swords, hammers, nails, ect. Imagine a romantic but quiet sim making his wife hooks for her aprons or a new pair of sewing shears! -Time pack. I loved TS3 back to the future. I'd love to see a back to the past pack! Of course it'd likely be eurocentric, but imagine African history or Indian History or OH CHINESE HISTORY! -clock making. I really like clocks lol There are just so many things I want for this game I can't possibly write them all!
its refreshing to hear this kind of wishlist from someone who actually PLAYS the game. no shade to builders but the life sim part of the game is not life sim-ing like it should be this far into TS4. so many good ideas in this video and in the comment section!!
I see your "grouchy trait" and raise you the "lactose intolerant" trait. If you think lactose intolerance is a personality trait, you know boring people. I also don't like how they characterize pranks and mischief... Chaos is difference than malice. Edit: While we're talking about UI, I want to be able to reorder the worlds as I wish so that the world I'm calling home is at the top of the list. I usually end up playing in older worlds because it's annoying to me to play in newer worlds and scroll to the bottom. Toddlers could use a scribbling pad, gymnastics classes, swim classes, pre-school or creche... I'd love some family activities at the library like story time, art classes, or kids chess club. I'd also like some purpose for gym trainers, like teaching exercise classes. There should be parenting and grandparenting classes and at the end of it you'd have a head start on the parenting skill and some random acquaintances in the same life-stage as you. Sims that already have a good parenting skill would have a confident moodlet with something about how it's good to have the most up-to-date information.
I would also love to see an African world. I have always thought that such a world would fit in very well with a Hotel expansion, as it would be a destination unique from the base game. Imagine if they made a world based on South Africa, so you could have your very modern, urban hotel in the city center neighborhood, and then maybe a Safari lodge in a country setting of the world. Then if they give us multiple versions of several different gameplay objects, like the check-in desk, we could add hotels to any world we want in the same flavor as adding restaurants. Though they will probably be just as glitchy.
I want hotels, Paris like world, movie theatre, fast food restaurant, popcorn stands, smoothies, bands, hobbies. This is 2-3 years worth content, I know 😅
I totally agree with you on holiday refreshes. I liked the cozy celebration reward thing we just had but I wish we had more holiday stuff like mini trees and clutter. Edit: On jobs, yes! I’d love to see more hybrid jobs like teachers since you brought up the daycare. I remember a mod for the sims 3 where you could take your sims to school and be a teacher!
You know what, sometimes it's quite good life simulation, my brain gets the same lag when I open the fridge and wonder what to eat as TS4 cooking menu 😂
I wish the hybrid jobs that are work from home or rabbit hole actually had us WORK when we choose work from home. Having to do one task or talk to two sims or whatever just feels so useless
I actually prefer it because I usually have them stay home to accomplish other tasks I have planned. If I wanted to not deal with them I send them to the office.
we def need shopping malls, medieval pack with medieal town realm, vintage pack, royalty pack, middle age and preteen addition, 2 hairstyle kits 1 for black sims 1 for white sims, pet kit with dog kennel, better pregnancy + infant stuff (strollers+pacifier) + parrots + more hair and eye colors + better genetics (dominant/recessive genes) + better family trees + bridgerton pack + cute dresses (cottagecore + trendy +vintage) + african and arabic world + more drama + more chaos
also about neighbourhood stories sims should marry, divorce or split households on their own. i got tired from matching unplayed households sims to marry
I think alot of these themes could go together into a proper expansion pack, but gone are the days where we get EPs with so much diversity and gameplay 😭
NO MORE PET KITS. NO PAYING MORE MONEY FOR ANOTHER KIT THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST ADDED AS A FREE UPDATE TO EXISTING CONTENT. The amount of kits and nonworking content is STAGGERING in TS4, I genuinely don't want any new content honestly until they just fix the multiple broken $40 packs and what they have to begin with. They are still making crazy amounts of money off this game, the LEAST they could do is add in what should have come with these expansions instead of making us pay multiple times over. They had this same issue when MFPS came out where fans were pissed, now we want ANOTHER paid Pets pack?
NO! to another afro-world, 99% of randomly generated sims are black, still not enough? copypasted jungle worlds from pack to pack still not enough? Turning The Sims into Der Untermensh has to be stopped!
My wish list is simple. I want only bug fixes this year, meaning no new content whatsoever. I know that isn't something EA would allow since the Sims franchise is one of their cash grabs. I do want a way to start in a "fresh save" without being forced into create a sim. I know I can make a base save file to do this, but I want it to be an option to go to CAS or to the world map. I have found that my base save file can get bugged after a couple of months. I also want the game to not feel like a micromanagement nightmare simulator since every event gives that vibe. I also want a way to not allow all Sims to travel to all worlds. I use a mod currently that only allows sims to roam around their "home region" world.
My wish is for my game to stop lagging (sims still moving after the game is already on pause), and tasks get acknowledged when the action is performed. I just need the game to performed it's most basic functions. Happy New Year everyone ✨️❤️
my wish? they fix their broken stuff. beyond that... fairies, preteens, would be cool for maybe a map set in Ireland (they could put fairies in this), cars (i know it's closed world in a sense like sims 2 in a way. _but_ hear me out.. sims 2 had cars too) small edit - mermaid refresh. they feel like the forgotten children of the sims 4. we got them, but they feel very flat and bland. love mermaids, but this occult is lacking in abilities and stuff. also... mermaid themed baby / kid stuff? please?
For some occults, I feel like their powers should be uniform. What should happen with these though is that you get some kind of community activities for them with consequences for how the occult behaves. Maybe the aliens for example vote on abductions or you have secret missions like trying to climb to a certain level in the politics career and you get bonuses for it
The problem with hobbies is that even Free Time could've done more with them, and I can't imagine a Sims 4 pack matching the amount of content included in that EP, let alone surpassing it
Maybe - I found it a bit buggy with the issues of the firefighter stepping off the lot, and then a bit samey as each fire would play about the same way. I'd be happy to have it as a rabbit hole career though
I desperately want some pack refreshes. It has to be simpler to refresh an existing pack than just spewing out new stuff? Especially when the newer stuff has so many glitches. I want more things for families to do together. Let’s say that a kid wants to learn how to paint. They should be able to stand on a small stool and be taught by an adult, or being proud of a drawing (excellent quality) and want to show it off to their adult. I think there absolutely should be more after school rabbit hole activities, such as football, baseball, dance, art, chess, singing lessons etc. I want the kids or teens who actually break some serious rules to also be able to get in trouble with the law. The same way I would love for sims in the criminal career to risk being out in jail if they are caught on the job.
Love the element of getting in trouble with the law. More consequences makes things more interesting. Then maybe we could actually use all the jail objects from get to work…
Dear EA, we would like to constructively share our wishes for 2025: Refreshing Packs - similar to what was done with the “Spa Day” expansion. It would definitely be great if “Outdoor Retreat” could receive new lots to explore and the ability to swim in and around the lake (e.g., with boats). Also, “Dine Out” needs improvement, and many fans would love the possibility for restaurant owners to also cook, serve as waiters, or even handle cleaning duties. “Vampires” deserve a mysterious lot in their environment - it's a shame that their world doesn't have a secret vampire hideout. This is definitely an untapped potential. “Parenthood” should be combined with “Together is Better,” because it's just an unfunny joke that these two expansions are separated. A Music Expansion, which fans have been asking for for years - a career as a vocalist who creates music, performs concerts, and releases albums is a true dream. The ability to create music venues, organize contests, or form bands could greatly enrich the game. Improvement of environments and the introduction of “rabbit holes” - this would definitely be a better solution than empty cardboard cutouts or building models. For example, in the university town with its beautiful old town, there should be bakeries, restaurants, and cafes that could be “rabbit holes” - something functional, not just empty, lifeless models. Cars and other vehicles - introducing new forms of transportation, as well as the option to pay for transport, which could become an integral part of Sim life. Bug Fixes - fixing all the technical issues and bugs. “My Wedding Stories” - NO COMMENT! Pack Prices - there are so many packs now that someone who wants to catch up on the entire collection would have to spend a fortune. Why not reduce these prices? Sales on kits, or a good bundle where all kits could be purchased at a reasonable price. Dear EA, we wish you a Happy New Year! We know you’re capable of doing great work, just like in the most recent expansion… If you agree, please like, or copy this and share it with EA, for example, in surveys. 🥺
Everyone always brings up cars, but my understanding is that they were conforming to a list of things - think it was from the WEF - such as getting rid of self-driven vehicles. I just find the worlds are empty anyway. If you walk about town, there's nobody but yourself. Earlier versions of the sims, you could see people having lives (and deaths) around you.
I would love it if the game was simply harder and more realistic. Making money is too easy and so is finishing aspirations unless there's a bug so you CAN'T! Super curious but what did you mean in 23:26? How do we do that?
I love the idea of more options to control sims at home. I would really like more activities for children. I miss them being able to play tag and catch like in sims 3. I also would love more activities for elders. Love the idea of community classes and teaching. I want to be able to play elder stories without them threatening to die of over exertion when they do anything. They should be able to do power walking from anywhere just like sims can go jogging. Would also love to have other activities that won’t kill them, maybe tai chi. I do enjoy some of the things added by Growing together such as elder-specific social interactions, elder appropriate clothing, etc. I think elder-specific aspirations and even the option to add a new personality trait when they age up would be a great addition. (I don’t have life and death yet; hoping the bucket list helps a bit with this.) Also, for the love of everything please fix the bug where teens age up and don’t get a third trait.
I think if they do an arcade they should code it so the bowling alley from Bowling Stuff can function the way it does in a bar where sims will autonomously play with it. Kids and teens bowl irl, so I've never understood the decision for it to only draw sims in autonomously if it's in a bar.
My sims get invited to things all the time, but we're back to random sims inviting themselves into my sim's house and the "send home" option isn't there. (Maybe because they don't even know these intruder sims!) I'm tired of having to remember to lock/unlock all the doors whenever I want to invite sims over. Anyway, my wish list: 1) Being able to move mirrors freely without mods 2) Getting swatch updates with all cabinets & wooden furniture, including packs. It wouldn't have to be tons. I'd be happy with pure white, pure black, and a least a medium wood that could go with lighter or darker if you want. 3) More instruments - like trumpet, drums, etc and have your sims be able to play in a band 4) I was also disappointed in the grouch trait. I was so excited about that one, but will likely never use it.
If I won the lottery and bought EA, I wouldn't tell anyone, but there would be signs. ...and one of those signs would be a Luddite game pack. Yes, I know, we have a lot of Off-The-Grid stuff with Island Living and Eco Lifestyle and Cottage Living, but most of those are extremely modern in design. I want a functional well that my sims have to manually use to get water. I want an outhouse and chamber pots. I want a larder that preserves food for less time than a refrigerator. I want a washstand (similar functionality to a shower). I want a stove that has to be fueled with wood that has to be chopped. I want the ability to use a slot on a dining table as a food prep surface. I want a writing desk that lets us write books and letters without having to have a full computer (that my sims will inevitably autonomously use to do Modern Things). I want a world that's themed around a pre-industrial existence - no, the Cottage Living world doesn't count. I want a lot trait for "Ye Olden Days" which, among other things, means that children and teens living on that lot don't have to go to school.
I would like hotels, commercial and residential hybrid lots, multi unit homes (like the rentals, but you own them), being able to build 8 story buildings, the ability to make covens, like 20 extra lots in the magic realm, and maybe 2 more on the muggle side, and 10 extra lots in the vampire world split across two neighborhoods in the vampire world.
Also, I reeeeeaaaally miss the skill journal from the sims 3, it added so much more depth to skills, once you maxed them out you still had stuff to do with them.
@@user-sh4bc4qz4z They've become aspirations - the Fitness aspiration for example has picked up a lot of the same benefits as maxing out the fitness skill in 3. I wouldn't mind them reverting to that, the aspirations are a weird mix of skill bonuses and tutorials, none of them feel particularly aspirational
I want the sims 5 at some point but I don’t want it yet cuz u haven’t even made the sims 4 equal to the sims 3 yet so I don’t feel like u can move on till u have finished it we don’t even have cars yet we need fairies, burglars and a bunch more stuff so I think they should work on giving us that stuff first and the bugs and the pack refreshers r fine with me
I wrote a wishlist last year, and have been checking off things that we got Skills/Hobbies: Drums (Available for Children+, Skill) Flute (Available for Children+, Skill) Bass (Skill) Saxophone (Skill) Cello (Skill) Harp (Skill) Pottery (Available for Children+, Skill) Sculpting (Skill) Glassblowing (Skill) Archery (Available for Children+, Either) Baseball (Available for Children+, Tied into Fitness/Motor, Hobby) Tennis (Tied into Fitness, Hobby) Volleyball (Tied into Fitness, Hobby) Gymnastics (Available for Children+, Either) Fencing (Hidden Skill, Hobby) Afterschool Activities for Kids: Music Clubs (Chorus, Band), Sports Clubs (Gymnastics, Soccer, Track and Field), Art Club Occults: Fairies Unicorns Elven people Angels+Demons (highly unlikely) Mermaid Update Ghost Update ✅️ Alien Update Worlds: Celtic (Irish or Scottish, Village-like, Archery+Bagpipes) Korean (Seoul inspired City, Band?) Italian (Town, lots of new food, pizza making✅️) Mexican (Town, Day of the Dead, Mexican food, new dances, Mexican music, maracas) Greek (Town, older architecture, beach) Other: Royalty/Medieval Zombie/Survival/Apocalypse
So my wants: I want worlds to cluster - have a world in which your Sim is based, then have appropriate other worlds (or even floating lots) attached to it, so Henford on Bagley would have a nearby English city, an English high school, an English Celebrity area where they live etc. I find it weird for example that you can travel to Oasis Springs as you can to Willow Creek when you live in Willow Creek. It would cool if each cluster had their own culture, like their own festivals, and then you could travel to places for a holiday and see their different ones. I know this would take a lot of worlds being built to fill out the clusters, but I wonder if it wouldn't save on the load for running neighbourhood stories when the number of active neighbourhoods could be much smaller? On a similar note, I wish collections would expand by worlds like having unique insects to some worlds and some common ones in the base game worlds. There could be unique flowers, more postcards, we have it to some degree with the fish, but that could also be expanded. My last thing on worlds is that I wish they'd have hybrid worlds for download if you owned certain combinations of packs. If you have Snowy Escapes for example, I feel like you should get am expensive celebrity ski resort based on something like Aspen if you also have get famous, and if you have cottage living, you get an alpine farming village with a nearby ski resort like you could find in Austria. This would feed in to the cluster idea above. I want the party system changed - Sims 3 was a nightmare because you had to try and make guests happy when they would otherwise stand around and do nothing. Sims 4 is slightly better in that at least you have the host doing stuff to try and move the party along, but what I'd really like is if each guest had some things they wanted from the party (and would autonomously try to satisfy those) and you scored the party based on both the things you do, and what the guests tick off. Targets like "Flirt 0/5" are frustrating as you then have to queue up those actions on your own sims. I'd also like to have a buffet table in the base game, especially if you could set a menu for the caterer and they would slowly fill up the buffet table rather than randomly cooking 17 cakes. Oh, and having the 'make a toast' option easier as I believe it currently needs: The active sim to be standing, have a drink in their inventory and for the target sim to do the same. On a similar note, I would also like all the very specific interactions like "Talk about a wildlife encounter" to be easier to find as I've never managed that. Finally, I would love to see see parties and holidays integrate better, like being able to have a big Winterfest gathering. I agree 100% on your idea of there being rabbit holes for passive activities, like the cinema, the theatre, sporting events, an amusement park - as much as anything it'd be nice to have places you can send sims and not need to micromanage them. There should be a change on how we handle sims who are not on our current lot. I find it so annoying that if I don't take the whole family out, when I return with the active sims, someone will be watching the TV, someone else will be grilling something... oh, and it's 4am so they've not bothered going to bed! Some careers should be changed so they are a bit more distinct, like the athletic career, maybe it branches off when you hit the adult stage and you can no longer be a prime athlete so you have to transition in to coaching, or maybe TV presenting. Maybe there can be different flavours of the Athletic career too, like if you play a tennis or golf star, they work away from home for days on end as they are on tour, and maybe that creates certain issues for children. Some simpler things I'd like are more paintings for the base game as it feels like I've seen them all. I'd like the ability to get sims to pose for portraits too. I want to be able to work on different types of wood for a different colour sculpture, and more sculptures and furniture available, and it would be cool if a sim with a high enough painting skill could add decorative touches to the sculptures too. I'd also like a slot available for the seasonal wreaths on the front doors. Also, more windows should have the ability for teens to sneak out.
Something I'm not sure could be done within a year is that I want the Sims to offer drama rather than chaos. They do weird things autonomously like flirty introductions that cause issues which annoys me when they appear to be happy in their current relationship, and 'mischief' seems like it only causes misery, but goofball sims never spontaneously joke in comparison. I have a feeling that to fix this, they'd have to radically change how they define sims personalities, maybe doing a hybrid of the Sims 2 system of having traits like loyalty, empathy, intelligence etc, and then having certain quirks and interests from the traits. This would be a big longer term project that I'm not sure we'll see any time soon... Honestly, I have half a mind to do a blog where I critique the Sims and put some of the ideas in more details, but I'm not convinced I'd get enough readers to justify the effort!
I forgot some - I'd like the ability to set default lots for new saves so I could build up Newcrest, edit buildings in other worlds (like adding a Swimning Pool to the basement of the gym in Willow Creek) and have them when I start a new game instead of having to go to manage worlds '. I'd like to be able to create a sim with some skills and a relevant job, it's a pain when you start with an elder for example who has no skills at all. The story/questionaire mode for me doesn't do anything satisfying. Mostly I'd do this to help create new townies, but occasionally it would feel right to start a family with various things already in place Not sure how easy it would be to implement, but I'd love some scenarios to be emergent. I created a ghost teen sim when that update allowed that for the base game and did the steps to create ambrosia to tell the story of a sim who was reaped by accident (her name was Jane Smith so the got the wrong Jane, but as I say this now I realise I should have called her Sarah J Connor...). That would be a fun wrinkle if a sim was reaped but was offered the chance to play through the reaper reward events to get back to life. I saw an Australian simmer doing a video series about a young girl who was homesick having moved from Sulani, and it feel like that would be another fun scenario to have the option of beginning playing if you moved a family from one world to another. There should be more "Side hustles" for teen sims for the teen aspiration (Over-achiever?), gardening would be an obvious one, but maybe also a pet care service, baking, etc... I wonder if they could allow sims with the Bookworm trait to have favourite genres as preferences and maybe have that for compatibility with other bookworms. With the emotional aura properties of objects, I wish you could click on one item and activate/deactivate all the objects with an aura, or those with a specific aura in a room, especially as some will be hidden if you have walls half up/half down. I wish you could specify what fish you were trying to catch. I wouldn't want it to be like the Sims 3 and an exact bait type, but some kind of middle ground would be good. There should be a lot of new 'chance' cards added to base game careers so you never see the same one twice. They should have a meet colleagues option in addition to the socialise with colleagues one so you can quickly add people as contacts and then socialise with them after work if you want to, instead of not meeting anybody for days while trying to 'socialise'. Two part swatches for beds so you can set the frame and bedding separately
And some more... I want the ability to dye hair independent of the base colour, so I can choose to have red, green, blue or purple hair dye with my blonde sim for example More tattoo swatches There should be a physical attraction option based on the muscle and fat sliders so you can set up a zone of what your sim finds attractive. I get that it's not really possible to define what an attractive face would look like for a sim, but at least they could do the body based on mechanics already in the game An exercise bike for the gym and at home, especially since most of the animations for that will already be available Get rid of most of the locks for items behind careers, and replace those with a discount for them when a sim reaches that level, it's so daft that there is no base game laptop for example until you're a sim in the freelance writing career. Let teen sims earn some early levels of the Parenting skill, especially if they do the babysitter career as a side hustle. Have the notebook include details for other collections like recording the effects of each flower when used to scent a flower arrangement, and have the ability to pass on notes or ways to learn effects so you don't have to either look up stuff outside of the game, or do constant trial and error when making relics with the archaeology skill. It seems like it was ignored after base game Create a way to find new collections like positivity posters and freezer boneys when you have them unlocked in your game, so you can complete them without having to just buy them in BB Have more missions for the rocket ship Change aspirations, and get rid of the pack tutorial ones which should be scenarios. They should be some kind of life goal, but instead they mostly feel like skill bonuses that you have to faff around with, especially when you have to have an aspiration active to make progress. To add to your arcade idea, there should be a fairground thing where people cam take part in questionable skill games to win prizes like the ring toss for example Bring back the collection helper! It was expensive, but it would be a godsend for trying to complete the insect collection. Maybe have a 'hunt collectables' action where your sim autonomously finds the ones in the neighbourhood, and then goes off map to find random ones? Have plants etc grow and spawn flowers, fruits etc when you're not in the world so you can collect them if you arrive later
The Grouch reward trait really annoyed me because I've had a bug in my game that makes all Mischief interactions fail 100% of the time for almost 2 years. Congrats, I've earned a trait that I'm never going to use because I have no hope that EA will ever fix the bug.
i need them to update items in cas that look like plastic or just in generall rlly ugly bc it looks like its straight up from 2014 with the textures (i'm a console player, can't do cc also no its not a ps5 i spent a billion dollars on bc seem to think console players have extremely disposable income, its a used formerly broken ps4 that i bought again, used ) and i don't have the money to buy like 50 packs just to have nice varieties of hair
Ikkk, sometimes I'm so tempted to get cc packs that override the bg hairs but that's not compatible for everyones gaming setup (loading time to load up 2 of everything is frustrating)
yeah it came at such a busy time in the sims year with events being introduced and then 2 EPs actually really close together so it’s not surprising but it’s deffo got me thinking that they need to do some serious under the hood work to actually allow longevity in this current version
Cars as most people want them will most likely never happen; HOWEVER, they could totally add a mechanic career with a few cars to work on at home PLUS scooters, motorcycles, and garage doors with clutter for garages. We have bicycles and horses we can ride around, so it's totally possible for other modes of transportation.
I would LOVE old packs updated like they did with Spa Day. It would be amazing, but I doubt they will invest time and money in something so many people already purchased 😢 and the bugs... I honestly lost hope about it already
the stargazing problem about to pmo bc my sim was at the bar the other day and the bartender just on the clock left to star gaze with their s/o. im like wtf im on a timed date and need a drink!!!
regarding the traits update: i recently started using a mod that lets you give your sims 5 traits instead of just 3, and it makes SUCH a big difference!! i've been using traits like lazy or snob FAR more often simply because they don't take up as much 'space' as they would if i only had room for 3. it's made my sims more interesting i think! plus i can make a sim vegetarian and still give them a personality lol
I'd love to see them determine if a trait made life easier or harder, and for you to be able to pick up traits beyond the original 3 by having to pair an easy and hard trait, like having the trait about being friendly to animals if you took a trait that worked against you like loner or vegetarian. I just can't see myself picking up the traits like lactose intolerance (IIRC, I've not got that pack yet)
I really really want more instruments and the ability to form bands in the game. Also, why are the guitars that look like electric guitars sound like acoustic guitars? Remember, Sims 1? They had electric guitars and it sounded like an electric guitar. And, Sims 2 had bands and had a drum kit. I want electric and bass guitars, drum kits, saxophone, trumpets, and I want sims of all ages to be able to create their own band and go on gigs with their band.
To get the Sims 4 to be good, they need to make so many changes and overhauls to the current game that itd be about the same amount of work as creating a better Sims 5. The Sims 4ever is one of the worst and most disappointing decisions EA has ever made. I I I hate the DLC excuse they gave, if they really cared about how much money people have spent they would stop releasing new DLCs, fix broken DLCs first, and allow people to get refunds on Sims 4 DLCs (currently impossible). Sims 5 doesn't have to be a $1200 game like The Sims 4 either, it could be priced far lower for an equivalent amount of content
Why no zombies? I can see New stuff for fairies, like making anyone see child imagination stuff, or the monster under the bed, entrap in mushroom circles they could add emotion buffs to it, I really like that vampires can kill with the emotion buff powers. Group plays for children, yes! I really dislike that play make believe is an option, but they just talk. Also, I want toddler playdates but how will I find another toddler if I don't search the whole save for them? In manager worlds or households.
After thinking about it, I think we'll never get custom worlds, simply for capitalistic reasons 😭 I think they know many ppl want the packs for the worlds. And a lot of packs would be almost useless if not for the world. Some people get at least a couple of packs just to even have at least a few more worlds to have space and build in. Seing how sometimes it seems they only put effort into the world and not gameplay, I think they know that and use that to their advantage.
In Sims 3 they had individual worlds for sale for reasonable prices. I will never forget Roaring Heights, an art deco early Hollywood era with a beautiful boardwalk carnival 😭😭
I want 'blue collar' jobs, a world based in Africa, a sports pack, a pregnancy overhaul. Most of all bring back the dodgy NPC's i want burglars and the unsavory charlatan to rob my sims
I just want them to bug fix. I don't care what they release. I will not be buying any other pack. I bought Cottage Living recently and it was a brick too far for my game and ruined my Gen 11 save
Maybe there should be an emotions skill tree. Sounds dumb but hear me out. Something like a bar or meter fills for each emotion in the game. The longer a sim is angry, the more they fill their lifelong meter that measures anger and rage. Each milestone unlocks the ability to gain access for that sims to gain a personality trait or item(s) or perks or quirks and also new social interactions that relate to that emotion. Each emotion has its own meter that fills and unlocks new ways for that sims to be played. It’s better than emotions doing little to nothing.
I image the meter filling up to feel like how it did in the Sims 2 when keeping your sim happy with full needs resulted in life satisfaction points to spend on them.
I would personally love to see in TS4:
-Updated textures on older base game hair
-Pastel hair and eyes
-Pastel skin colors
-More Black hairstyles
-New Piercing
-New instruments-drums,accordion,flute,harmonica,cello,harp,trumpet etc.
-Separate bank accounts and saving account (I would personally like a bank system similar to SNB mod)
-South Korea inspired world
-African Inspired world
-Poland Inspired world
-Another Japan Inspired world (I was thinking of the city world this time around)
-Traditional Slavic Clothes (base game or/and kit)
-Slavic Home Decor (base game or/and kit)
-Traditional Polish Food (in the base game)
-New toys for kids (toy kitchen, toy laundry set, cashier toy set, band toy set,tea set, small plushies etc.)
-New toys for toddlers (toy kitchen, toy telephone, basketball hoop,Rock-a-Stack,Xylophone etc.)
-Ballet Career,Tattoo Artist Career,Mangaka Career
-Burglars
-Fairies Game Pack
-Cyber Goth CAS Kit
-Spiral Stairs
-Pool table
-Arcade machines
-New beds for cats/dogs
-New hobbies-skateboarding,glassblowing,pottery,scrapbooking,soap making,golfing,sewing clothes,ballet
-New playground equipment-slides,carousel,rocking horse etc.
I would like to share my own as well^^
I am a bit of a history nerd and have all sorts of odd hobbies, ones I'd love to see in game!
I really like clocks lol
There are just so many things I want for this game I can't possibly write them all!
The game needs so many more clocks. I have always had the desire to make a clockmakers house, but there are only so many clocks on offer.
its refreshing to hear this kind of wishlist from someone who actually PLAYS the game. no shade to builders but the life sim part of the game is not life sim-ing like it should be this far into TS4. so many good ideas in this video and in the comment section!!
I wish we’d had more height pre-sets, especially for adults. Always find it’s so weird every sim being the same height.
Some of the packs have major parts that are literally broken so they really need to fix that first but I know they won't.
How do you know? You're working for them or something? 🙄
You know what, sometimes it's quite good life simulation, my brain gets the same lag when I open the fridge and wonder what to eat as TS4 cooking menu 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
@@jesperlivid9184 girl they will release kits forever at least they can give us great kits, yeah because i want dog kennels for outside
NO! to another afro-world, 99% of randomly generated sims are black, still not enough? copypasted jungle worlds from pack to pack still not enough?
I would love to see hotels and an Australia world :D
My wish is for my game to stop lagging (sims still moving after the game is already on pause), and tasks get acknowledged when the action is performed. I just need the game to performed it's most basic functions. Happy New Year everyone ✨️❤️
No more damn rabbit holes. Let's explore crypts, let's see our rocket ship trips. Even create a space pack with spacestations snd planet Sixam.
my wish? they fix their broken stuff. beyond that... fairies, preteens, would be cool for maybe a map set in Ireland (they could put fairies in this), cars (i know it's closed world in a sense like sims 2 in a way. _but_ hear me out.. sims 2 had cars too)
small edit - mermaid refresh. they feel like the forgotten children of the sims 4. we got them, but they feel very flat and bland. love mermaids, but this occult is lacking in abilities and stuff. also... mermaid themed baby / kid stuff? please?
For some occults, I feel like their powers should be uniform. What should happen with these though is that you get some kind of community activities for them with consequences for how the occult behaves. Maybe the aliens for example vote on abductions or you have secret missions like trying to climb to a certain level in the politics career and you get bonuses for it
The problem with hobbies is that even Free Time could've done more with them, and I can't imagine a Sims 4 pack matching the amount of content included in that EP, let alone surpassing it
Am I the only one who misses the Firefighter carreer?
Then maybe we could actually use all the jail objects from get to work…
@ yes! Back to the pack refresh thing: Get to work is the first on my list!!
Dear EA, we would like to constructively share our wishes for 2025:
Refreshing Packs - similar to what was done with the “Spa Day” expansion.
We know you’re capable of doing great work, just like in the most recent expansion…
If you agree, please like, or copy this and share it with EA, for example, in surveys.
Yes! Bring back the Sims 1 and the Sims 2 ultimate collection!
(I don’t have life and death yet; hoping the bucket list helps a bit with this.)
Also, for the love of everything please fix the bug where teens age up and don’t get a third trait.
Anyway, my wish list:
1) Being able to move mirrors freely without mods
2) Getting swatch updates with all cabinets & wooden furniture, including packs. It wouldn't have to be tons. I'd be happy with pure white, pure black, and a least a medium wood that could go with lighter or darker if you want.
3) More instruments - like trumpet, drums, etc and have your sims be able to play in a band
4) I was also disappointed in the grouch trait.
You can make a coven in the game. Just put a bunch of witches in a Get Together club. Though they need to add more options to the clubs.
I want the sims 5 at some point but I don’t want it yet cuz u haven’t even made the sims 4 equal to the sims 3 yet so I don’t feel like u can move on till u have finished it we don’t even have cars yet we need fairies, burglars and a bunch more stuff so I think they should work on giving us that stuff first and the bugs and the pack refreshers r fine with me
I wrote a wishlist last year, and have been checking off things that we got

So my wants:
I want worlds to cluster - have a world in which your Sim is based, then have appropriate other worlds (or even floating lots) attached to it, so Henford on Bagley would have a nearby English city, an English high school, an English Celebrity area where they live etc.
Mostly I'd do this to help create new townies, but occasionally it would feel right to start a family with various things already in place
Not sure how easy it would be to implement, but I'd love some scenarios to be emergent.
I want the ability to dye hair independent of the base colour, so I can choose to have red, green, blue or purple hair dye with my blonde sim for example
More tattoo swatches
There should be a physical attraction option based on the muscle and fat sliders so you can set up a zone of what your sim finds attractive. I get that it's not really possible to define what an attractive face would look like for a sim, but at least they could do the body based on mechanics already in the game
An exercise bike for the gym and at home, especially since most of the animations for that will already be available
Get rid of most of the locks for items behind careers, and replace those with a discount for them when a sim reaches that level, it's so daft that there is no base game laptop for example until you're a sim in the freelance writing career.
It seems like it was ignored after base game
Create a way to find new collections like positivity posters and freezer boneys when you have them unlocked in your game, so you can complete them without having to just buy them in BB
Have more missions for the rocket ship
Change aspirations, and get rid of the pack tutorial ones which should be scenarios. They should be some kind of life goal, but instead they mostly feel like skill bonuses that you have to faff around with, especially when you have to have an aspiration active to make progress.
To add to your arcade idea, there should be a fairground thing where people cam take part in questionable skill games to win prizes like the ring toss for example
Bring back the collection helper!
Magicians and fortune tellers!😊
i need them to update items in cas that look like plastic or just in generall rlly ugly bc it looks like its straight up from 2014 with the textures (i'm a console player, can't do cc also no its not a ps5 i spent a billion dollars on bc seem to think console players have extremely disposable income, its a used formerly broken ps4 that i bought again, used ) and i don't have the money to buy like 50 packs just to have nice varieties of hair
ESPECIALLY FOR MEN I KEEP GIVING THEM THE SAME HAIRSTYLES BC MEN'S HAIR IS SO BAD
Ikkk, sometimes I'm so tempted to get cc packs that override the bg hairs but that's not compatible for everyones gaming setup (loading time to load up 2 of everything is frustrating)
Thank you for saying this, I feel like a lot of creators washed over the no sims 5 announcement… sims 4 isn’t perfect code
yeah it came at such a busy time in the sims year with events being introduced and then 2 EPs actually really close together so it’s not surprising but it’s deffo got me thinking that they need to do some serious under the hood work to actually allow longevity in this current version
I’d love a sims 4 caw tool to tbh
Cars as most people want them will most likely never happen; HOWEVER, they could totally add a mechanic career with a few cars to work on at home PLUS scooters, motorcycles, and garage doors with clutter for garages. We have bicycles and horses we can ride around, so it's totally possible for other modes of transportation.
Btw theres painting classes/events in Discover university. Also teens can go to a rabit hole university party if they know a student
yeah but they’re not really a thing unless you’re in uni so it doesn’t really work for a lot of sims
@EnglishSimmer it's true it's really restrictive
Dragons. We had them in sims 3. While you couldnt do much with them they were cool. Give me my dragons back 😂😭
regarding the traits update: i recently started using a mod that lets you give your sims 5 traits instead of just 3, and it makes SUCH a big difference!! i've been using traits like lazy or snob FAR more often simply because they don't take up as much 'space' as they would if i only had room for 3. it's made my sims more interesting i think! plus i can make a sim vegetarian and still give them a personality lol
Think a accordion would be cool!😊
@@Betweensoulandbody yess I loved Monte Vista
My biggest wishlist item is facial hair for female sims and breasts for male sims. (probably hidden away in the gender customization settings)
Spitting facts!
I want 'blue collar' jobs, a world based in Africa, a sports pack, a pregnancy overhaul. Most of all bring back the dodgy NPC's i want burglars and the unsavory charlatan to rob my sims
We need a new game not more packs that will makes the game buggy
You're not wrong, but here's hope to more life sims coming out next year
can there juts fix it
I just want them to bug fix. I don't care what they release. I will not be buying any other pack. I bought Cottage Living recently and it was a brick too far for my game and ruined my Gen 11 save
nothing happens i keep hope for someing to happen to my sims the over sims around no drama
Heres my simself in the sims 4: ruclips.net/video/NGq-Dhf0eWE/видео.html
My Sims4 wishlist is.... Sims4 sucks!!!!!! I just bought Sims1!
I just hate the Sims 4... Sorry but it's what it is. Hope you enjoy the next 20 years of Sims 4, I'm just out xD
