What a treat! What a musician. Have been watching and listening to him for the past few hours: Beethoven, JS Bach, Mozart and now Haydn. Marvellous. Thank you, András Schiff, orchestras, concert halls and RUclips!!! For me, Schiff is THE greatest - certainly since 1988. 💕💕

I was in the concert: Andras Schiff is - at least for me - the master of nuance and fine tunes. The prime pianist of my days.

I just love Sir Andras. He is such a wonderful musician, pianist and of course person. I think he really enjoyed this performance which was sublime.

A lovely surprise, thank you. The right music in the right place, the Esterhazy Palace, with the right chamber orchestra and the perfect soloist. Delightful.

Darn it, that final cadence on the first cadenza is just brilliant. Stellar playing.

Al parecer el propio Haydn reutilizaba ese tema en otras obras:

The reason for Schiff's quote may be the popular words associated with the tune:
      Papa Haydn's dead and gone
      but his memory lingers on.
When his mood was one of bliss
he wrote jolly tunes like this.

I don’t know why but sometimes when listening to Hayden’s music can recognize “Mozartian patterns “ 😊
