Maravilloso concierto... Espero interpretar muy pronto el primer movimiento vivace...me encanta!!!!🤩
What a treat! What a musician. Have been watching and listening to him for the past few hours: Beethoven, JS Bach, Mozart and now Haydn. Marvellous. Thank you, András Schiff, orchestras, concert halls and RUclips!!! For me, Schiff is THE greatest - certainly since 1988. 💕💕
Love, love, LOVE this entire realization. Having listened to it a number of times, of it's many sterling virtues, Schiff's flexibility of phrasing, without losing the forward thrust, is what speaks to me most. Every phrase has shape, and breathes. I also love his balancing of sonorities, a tricky thing in this work. This has all the same virtues as Schiff's realizations of the piano music. Thank you.
"Et incarnatus est" begins 25'22"
Never thought Schiff will conduct this piece! Wonderful to have this rendition!
Je t'aime Andras, ton vrai nom est Joie. Continue de remplir nos cœurs de musique.
Best performance I heard and thereby feeling so glad not only to hear but much more to feel the georgious sound of the Bechstein E 270. This performance presents an outstanding quality of piano MUSIC,… not to compare with the modern way of presenting Pling Pling exercising on SS grand pianos or their followers. Go on András, your way of practicing Music catches the soul,… your choice of this legendary C. Bechstein can be recommended to all the others pianists as far as they are able to feel the music they perform on their pianos. Liszt preferred C. Bechstein not only for his own piano works. Liszt admired Beethoven and I‘m sure he preferred playing Beethoven on his Model I. I am owning 5 Bechstein grand pianos, 3 Models III straight and cross strung and two different cross strung Models I from 1883 and 1884 like Liszt played at last. I am convinced it is right to give these five grand pianos a room in my home so as you opened them the door to my heart by playing this C. Bechstein in such a wonderful manner. Playing a C. Bechstein grand piano means the most convincing way of making piano music.
Fantastic
Mensch! That Bechstein is the old fish-tail design, so the serial number must be back in 140,000's. Could be contemporary with the one Shostokovinch played: ruclips.net/video/OZhtbQh1s28/видео.html
As brilliant as always Sir Andras Schiff.
The model E270 Bechstein concert grand was last manufactured in 1974. A very sweet colorful sound, not available in modern louder instruments.
I was in the concert: Andras Schiff is - at least for me - the master of nuance and fine tunes. The prime pianist of my days.
How I do love Andräs Schiff! And what a wonderful performance this is from David Zinman, orchestra and Schiff together. Every moment is a joy. Of the variety of pianos that András Schiff plays, I like the Bechstein best. It seems just perfect for this music. Thank you, Concentus Musicus, for sharing all this with us. ❤️
But which Bechstein? This old E-270 (all rebuilt) prpbably dates back to the 1940's. The company gradually made small improvements to their top model up to 1974, when they supeceded it with a similar model, the EN, a good 10 centimetres longer. Then they stopped making that in 1994 and re-designed their whole line. In the interest of making their pianos louder to compete with Steinway, Now Bechstain pianos neirer resemble this one, nor do they sound like it, either.
vorzüglich 💕💕💕
Simple and cheerful! Bravo!
Such intimate and sublime performance with sparkling energy and humor! The sound of this Bechstein melts my heart! Thanks for sharing!
I don’t know why but sometimes when listening to Hayden’s music can recognize “Mozartian patterns “ 😊
“Classical era patterns”.
The composer’s name is Joseph *Haydn.*
This is awesome. I saw Schiff just last week in LA, where he referenced this performance and likened the mass to schubert’s 17th piano sonata. It’s great to be able to see it. With you and SW, the growing plethora of Schiff performances is great. My thanks
Darn it, that final cadence on the first cadenza is just brilliant. Stellar playing.
This performance touches to my soul
I loved the smile on 7:45 - 7:47
0:22 1 Vivace 8:35 2 Un poco adagio 14:40 3 Rondo all'ungarese
At least we can easily hear this Mass, changing our vision of Schubert !!!!! So many thanks ! ❤❤❤❤💘
Great! Here is a video for you: NEWLY DISCOVERED SCHUBERT IMPROMPTU! ruclips.net/video/weYIxCEj09A/видео.html
is that Marie Luise Neunecker at the horn? lovely performance. you can tell sir Andras really enjoys chamber music
I just love Sir Andras. He is such a wonderful musician, pianist and of course person. I think he really enjoyed this performance which was sublime.
A lovely surprise, thank you. The right music in the right place, the Esterhazy Palace, with the right chamber orchestra and the perfect soloist. Delightful.
surprising cadenza at 7:15
Quote from Surprise Symphony?
Al parecer el propio Haydn reutilizaba ese tema en otras obras: ruclips.net/video/XpuKIp1HOXE/видео.html
The reason for Schiff's quote may be the popular words associated with the tune: Papa Haydn's dead and gone but his memory lingers on. When his mood was one of bliss he wrote jolly tunes like this.
