Yes true, that is because there was only one direct flight from Trichy to Bangalore... my other option was Air India/Alliance Air (via.Chennai) price was over INR 4,000/- for one way
So this was the cheaper option
Flights from other states are definitely much more cheaper, I think I paid INR 1,500/- from Jaipur to Delhi (IndiGo) and maybe INR 1,250/- from Chennai to Madurai (SpiceJet)
