Hum is whatever 5v USB power supply he's using. The hiss is just outdated British radio stations. All we hear is -radio ga-ga, ga-ga, -radio goo-goo, goo-goo. Radio, someone still loves you!
I also made the radio. It works fine without blur but I 've got a bad screen because I can't see text at all and I only have one line with white rectangles.. I don't know why the screen is not working properly. Everything seems to be nice soldered....

mine just makes a buzz for now. I'm reviewing school physics and learn how to use a multimeter to figure out where I did something wrong...

The later version has a 3v Zener diode and a couple of IN 1107. Maybe they were added to fix the hum, and I have really good sound and no hum.
So i have power to the screen and LEDs n the switches seem to work. But no writing on the screen at all????

Ya I had the same issue make sure the screen is in all of the way
