Amazing. Thank you. Duruflé was my "grand-teacher." (Teacher's teacher), very special music for me. Brava!
brilliant and heartwarming!
L'interprétation est EXTRAORDINAIRE .
Tout est fluide, parfaitement musical, poétique.
Excellent.
Wow!! I've heard some performances of this suite but this is surely the best. Tingles down the spine and tears in my eyes!
Absolutely. I was suprised to be moved to tears too. Incredible.
@@johncollins8071 you can also watch the performance of Eric Koevoets of this piece! He did it very well too
Surely there are "better" renditions in terms of stop choice or rather organ choice, but technique- and clarity-wise there's not much competiton ;-)
A brilliant performance of the Suite from start to finish.
Unbelievable - love your interpretation! Kudos!
Amazing interpretation of an extremely difficult composition. Love the tempo used & phrasing.
Supposedly M.D. despised this particular movement. His wife, thankfully, advised him otherwise
Beautiful performance, and effortless technique!
My jaw is still hanging open at the stunningly beautiful and effortlessly executed technique. Why are we not hearing more about this young virtuoso??
she's making a BIG splash... she's getting around...
Incredible performance!
A almost unplayable piece perfect played! Chapeau!
Wow! What an ear-bending and mind-bending work of art. Borders on dissonance and yet has a powerful magnetic attraction. Masterfully played. Thanks so very much!!
A great performance of the 3 movements of this Suite. Thank you!
Make no mistake, this is a fabulous performance. She has a technical mastery that is astounding, and makes it almost look easy!
Bravo young lady!!! 👏 ❤
The composition Maurice himself hated the most, you play it perfect!
He probably grew to hate it because so many people asked him to play it. It must have been a difficult piece, even for him!
@@EElgar1857 It's known that Maurice found this work far below his capacities as a composer, he even forbade his wife Marie-Madeleine to perform it in his presence...
By all accounts, he was his own harshest critic!
@@JohnsOrganWorks Yes, and it's a tragedy that all of his organ music fits on one CD! There must have been some fine things that ended up in his fireplace.
That is the way it has been meant ❤😊
Oh, my! This was masterful, indeed. Look at that score - Difficulty: 10! (Don’t try this at home!!)
Just magnificent!
I've heard many play this magnificent and extremely technically difficult piece, and I have to say that this performance was one of my favorites. From the organ used, the quality of the sound, and interpretation of the artist....just top notch. For example:
6:56 on to the end, this is how I like to hear this played. MAJOR emphasis on those held chords!! Superb performance!!
Stunning, congratulations!

Yes, Ma'am!!!
Thank you Katelyn! Absolutely captivating. One of my favourite organ pieces, which despite trying hard, I still cannot manage to play myself. The timing of the very last chord was absolute perfection and brought the turmoil of emotions during this piece to a wonderful and very satisfying conclusion. This is the first time I've been able to see someone play the piece, and it might just give me the inspiration to have another go at trying to play it.
Wow!!!
Utterly brilliant!
Fantastic. I know what to listen to when I want to let off some steam!
I've just discovered this fine performance - with great audio and visuals, too! Thank you for playing/uploading (I'm sorry that I am over a year late in commenting!) Best wishes from the UK.
What a wonderful performance 🤩
very very difficult!!! bad merveillous
Bravo. So exciting.
Great playing! Loved it
Standing performance!!!
Absolutely astounding performance. Thank you!
Wonderful!!!
Katelyn...
ROCKS !!
It is one of the best performances of this fantastic toccata I' ve ever listened ❤ Bravo!!
Fabulous! Of all the famous, and over popularized toccatas, this one is probably my favorite. Katelyn, you showed complete mastery of this piece.. It's encouraging to know that young artists are taking the baton and running with it. I first heard this piece on an L.P. record with Noel Rawsthorne at Liverpool Cathedral. This was a few decades ago. But now, at retirement age, I have never lost my enthusiasm for it, especially when it performed so well. This is of the very best . Bravo!
Fantastic! She displays so much talent, technique, and confidence while making music of an extremely difficult work.
Phenomenal job. I knew a friend who played this in grad school so God bless for you being able to learn it I hope you did some self care after this cause it's a beast!
I had the pleasure of meeting Katelyn at the Houston AGO convention. What a lovely young woman and to have such a facility. The organ world is blessed to have her.
You play the organ beautifully. I would love to play it too,
The best playing of this piece. Brava Diva!
Absolutely perfect!!!!!
Excellent!!!!!!!
