Always thought J Lo was a vibe until I heard about all the behind the scenes shenanigans with Tommy Mottola and the dubbed vocals on the songs and I've looked at her sideways ever since. As for her love life so far in this video, it seems she's very aloof when it comes to men in the beginning but as she got older she became more calculated and strategic in her choices. Diddy was a power move that elevated her singing career. Cris Judd elevated her dancing and she rode that wheel til Ben whose connections in the industry I'm sure elevated her acting career.

If you don't know who Evelyn Hugo is, Evelyn Hugo is a fictional character from the book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo who is loosely based on Elizabeth Taylor(more so her) and Marilyn Monroe. She was an actress who was popular in the 1950s and was known for her seven marriages, her being secretly bisexual, and her fashion sense.

So yes Tommy wanted to “get back at Mariah for leaving him” according to Mariah and others but it was during 2001 when he did this. Hope this helps.

It’s the combination of beauty, brains, determination, work ethic and willingness to step over people that got her so far and has worked for her. And of course because she was pushed by her label as they wanted to establish a female Latin pop star and jlo checked all the boxes of a fierce “latina”.
And she’s also proof that no matter how hard a woman works to earn her clout, the world will always diminish her achievements and accuse her of “sleeping her way to the top.”

The way she describes her Tommy Mottola "discovery" moment is interesting to say the least. She really is quite full of herself.
Maybe an unpopluar opinion, but she made her name by stealing other artist's songs and in many cases, using their voices as her own. This has been her entire career. She's hustled for sure, but does she deserve what she has accomplished? Very debatable.
Beyonce did too and she is actually worse then JLo for this.. And most people use backup singers. She has never lied about that.

Halfway through the video and it’s really good. This woman is really interesting. She certainly has IT and can turn on the charm. So many contradictions though. She comes across so nice and down to earth in interviews but rumors are that she’s very difficult and diva-like. She seems incredibly confident but Ojani talked about her crying and thinking she wasn’t good enough. She wants to start a music career and is so savvy yet she was going to blow off a meeting with Tommy Mottola?! I actually think the Tommy story is exaggerated. Jlo is one those acts I think is excellent entertainment she will be remembered for lifetime. She is ok actress not best singer and excellent dancer. But she was one meanest women I ever met! It broke my heart. She is not nice at all, I thought all those stories was false boy was I wrong. But I can always separate the artist from the art. Great documentary girl. I can’t wait for part 2. Please don’t forget I am still waiting for the Marilyn Manson pt2. And now I know why Jlo and Sofia don’t like each other.
I hate that you had that experience. I never knew they didn't like each other. I did hear that Rosie Perez wasn't that fond of her dating back to the 90s but this definitely brings perspective.
