I never ever ever skip the credits when watching a movie because I know some directors like to hide little goodies like this in them....never ever shall I miss a secret that the director wanted me to know
I watched this movie many many times before meeting my wife, and I of course thought it was sad and tragic. I showed it to her once, after we met. I could barely hold myself together at the end. Watching this film while being in love... It's a totally different experience. Such indescribable, empathetic pain. Four years later managed to make myself watch it again. It just hurts
There is so much going on in this track. The strings, the Bonham like drums, the tango twist near the end. This is truly a masterpeice. It is complex in polyphonic structure. The best thing about this track is the way it gets to you. It is inspiring. I want to compose. I want to get more of that feel from the inside as a composer. Briliant!
The goal of music is to get you to feel something. This did its job well; Baz Luhrman gave this gift to the world as an ode to the movie musical in a bid to make musicals relevant again, and he did his job well. I was inspired too-but this is a tough act to follow
Every time I listen to this song I feel it course through me like I drug. It feels like it is truly a living organism reaching into my body. It passes through me, making me feel alive. I literally feel as if I have taken some sort of drug. I feel it like I am breathing the song into me, not just hearing it but feeling it. It is an experience unique.
"The greatest you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return." That's so beautiful and simple it almost ought to have been put into the Bible.
I heard this song at a Dance Showcase and fell in love with it instantly, I was convinced it was called Bolero but whenever I tried to search it I only found the Torvill & Dean Bolero. Then I watched Moulin Rouge and my life is complete...♥
What a powerful song. One of my favorites. Have the pleasure to know Nicole. We spent a good time together when she filmed Dogville in Trollhattan, Sweden. Great times.❤❤❤
OH MY GOD WHEN I WAS 6-8 I JUST ALWAYS PLAYED MY MOM'S 2002 DVD OF THIS JUST FOR THE CREDITS AND I WAS SO ATTACHED TO THE MUSIC AND THE WAY THE CREDITS WERE DESIGNED!
What's Deep Inside the Heart is Soul and what's Deep Inside the Soul is Love and Music. This Moulin Rouge closing credits gets both out of the Soul as you hear. I first heard this 20 years back and still.
It sad that Satine had to die, but I think it makes the movie a real haertbreaker instead of a lovestory with slimy ending. I cry every time I see it. Beautiful.
I watched this movie like 3 or 4 times and I never sat through the credits before. Yesterday I was watching this movie with my boyfriend and hes never seen it before. I cry at the ending every time... and we were so emotional at the end and we just sat there holding eachother and this song went on. I felt so incredibly close to him. This is an AMAZING song. It gives me chills. Blah sorry for sounding so corney...
Unless you click on the SHOW MORE link underneath the name of the person who posted it, you might never discover much about this brilliant piece. In researching it I discovered it was of course composed by Steve Sharples, officially credited for doing so on both the film and music soundtrack. In fact, Steve composed, produced and played everything on this track, apart from the violin, which was played by Simon Standage who has been a professor of baroque violin at the Royal Academy of Music since 1983. Steve mixed the track with Emile Ford, the St Lucian musician and singer who was also a pioneering sound engineer. Ford (like Jimi Hendrix) had synaesthesia, and this gifted him with the ability to see and hear sound differently from others. When I listen to the Moulin Rouge Bolero, like many people I’m struck by just how brilliantly different the piece actually is. You can listen to Steve doing a piano cover of it here: ruclips.net/video/qSJ8U5iLuzc/видео.html
This song takes you from it's sincere and quiet piano keys to it's slowly building melody, then begins to face you with it's awesome power of punctuation. As previously mentioned, this reminds me very much so of a twisted circus as well. I can't find the words to describe this song, it takes me on an emotional roller coaster ride each and every single time I listen to it. It's haunting, dramatic and tragic. I LOVE this song
I'm a Southampton fan who discovered this song at the cottage yesterday. Absolute tune makes me think of Victorian London (industrial revolution ect) it fits so well with the old school vibe of the stand alongside the road. Felt like i was back in the 1800's! love it!
I WATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES ON MY MOM'S 2002 DVD OF THIS. IT ALL STARTED WHEN SHE WAS WATCHING THE END CREDITS FINISHING UP THE THING AND I STARTED WATCHING THAT PART.
Contrary to popular belief, I came here from this one really good movie called Moulin Rouge, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, not from whoever tf Stoya is...
The most spectacular piece of music I've ever heard, just epic, I get goosebumps every time! I would feel blessed to play this in an orchestra, bravo! 💕❣️

So i came here after watching a video of my sisters and i dancing to this, when we were respectively 1, 3 and 7 years old. Bless my parents for introducing us to this kind of music.
+RaptorNX01 I feel like this piece made the story that more tragic. It didn't buck me up at all D: I sobbed. I feel like this piece helps the viewer to ruminate on what they just saw and relive it through this song. :)
this song is played at stoke city, at the end of half time when the players come back on to the pitch, i love it. never thought it was moulin rouge though. been searching since today for it and now ive finally found it
I love love love you for this! I watch this movie all the time with my sister but I'm the only one that wants to leave the credits on because this song is just so creepy and yet so beautiful and sad .. I don't know, I just love listening to it!
When I use to watch St Helens rugby at Knowsley Road, the cold air hitting my face, on a cold night, when they were waiting to come out either for the first or second half of the game, this song was bouncing around the ground. It sounded sooo amazing!!!
3.10 - OMG! I first saw this at cinema back in Helsinki in 2001 and as usual left as soon the credits begun to roll. Also I had sat in a mid row with two groups of girls on both sides and especially the other one had cried their eyes out during the whole thing so was feeling uncomfortable and happy to leave. But imagine this! playing on a background as you walk down the stairs of 7 storey movie complex.
This song make me cry because make me remember my friends from my city, in valencia, now i'm in Barcelona... and this song is the song which I used to dance for finish de actuation in Valencia.
When I first saw this movie I missed the part of the intro where he says something critical, and the ending was a SHOCK for me. I watched the whole thing not knowing what was gonna happen!
They play this at Craven Cottage every game before Fulham kick off. Amazing for building atmosphere! Great song - although there seems to be 2-3 different versions floating about. This version is not to iTunes
This got to be one of the greatest closing credits ever for any movie.Have my vote.
if not the best one
@@nairbdelrey1561 bar none, fantastic piece of music 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I'm with you on this!
Watching this for the first time while being totally shell-shocked by the tragedy and then this hits home.
@@peterspencer6442 I wish I could watch it for the first time again... so good.
the beginning is so eerie, the entire song sounds like a story in itself, a twisted circus
Just like the moulin rouge!
Good music does that!

Damn right it is!

This song was and still is epic!!!
This is such a haunting tune....very much like a twisted circus. The movie was awe-inspiring and made me want to be in love.
This has got to be the most intense credits song from any movie!!
I never ever ever skip the credits when watching a movie because I know some directors like to hide little goodies like this in them....never ever shall I miss a secret that the director wanted me to know
Especially the fast & the furious movies. They show a little bit of credits then a tiny scene which gives u a clue about the next movie
+Benjamin Parsons Yep. The Pirates of the Caribbean series was full of those credits gems.
don't forget Marvel movies ❤
this gives you a clue that when fulham gets in the premier league THEY WILL WIN IT!
Benjamin Parsons my son calls that “the over part” and he loves it too 🙂

my wife just ran off with another man, out of blue, and i feel your pain man, life is wild for sure
@@tassadar137Hope you’re doing okay man.
This song started randomly running through my head so I had to look it up and listen to it. :)
Story of my life.
this is now 2018 and same thing just happen with me just now!
For some reason I was reminded of this piece after listening to a rendition of How Great Thou Art by Millennial Choir & Orchestra.. #mysteriousways

A tip: you can watch series on kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching loads of movies lately.
Listening to this with a great pair of headphones along with great bass is the absolute best.
This score sum up the story perfectly. A passionate tragedy. So intense and hit every emotion precisely. And it feels so beautiful.

I miss face to face dancing 💃🏼 the tango waltz, salsa... idk for sure which but I wish we lived in a more classic world 🌎

I usually skip the credits when watching films but NEVER for this film. It's good from beginning to end. I absolutely love it!!!
This hits like a train after the emotional brutality of the ending
To my opinion, it's simply a masterpiece !
In* my opinion
I wish i was in an orchestra that would play this exact song. Oh my.
the whole thing is awesome but major eargasm from 3:09 to 4:03
What a powerful song. One of my favorites. Have the pleasure to know Nicole. We spent a good time together when she filmed Dogville in Trollhattan, Sweden. Great times.❤❤❤
8:00 - TRUTH, BEAUTY, FREEDOM... LOVE.
Always makes my skin shiver and a tear go down my cheek when I see that part in the credits roll.
I have the dvd of the Moulin Rouge and everytime I reach the end I ALWAYS replay the credits at least three times because of the music xD
OH MY GOD WHEN I WAS 6-8 I JUST ALWAYS PLAYED MY MOM'S 2002 DVD OF THIS JUST FOR THE CREDITS AND I WAS SO ATTACHED TO THE MUSIC AND THE WAY THE CREDITS WERE DESIGNED!

Best end credits music ever! Incredible beat and mix 👍
Took me two whole listens to realise the beat got faster
yeah. Because the ending was so down, they wanted the credits to buck people up by the end of it.
+RaptorNX01 I feel like this piece made the story that more tragic. It didn't buck me up at all D: I sobbed. I feel like this piece helps the viewer to ruminate on what they just saw and relive it through this song. :)
I know this is old but it picked up Tempo about 5 times throughout lol
Haunting I agree, The start of it when Ewan says that line makes it even more sad.
Perfect song to end the perfect movie 🍿
This is the kinda song that makes you wanna dance outside in the rain!
Wonderful song! I just listened to it watching the movie, then I came here and then I'm going to look out for it on Spotify and add it to my playlist.
When I was young i used to imagine hunting Chupacabra to this theme starting at 2:03

Well that's an eargasm if I ever heard one.
Wish there was a orchestra version of it. I love this one but it reminds me of bach so much that i want to hear it!
So... you don't think this is NOT an orchestra playing? Just a band? Stop drinkin'.
this song is played at stoke city, at the end of half time when the players come back on to the pitch, i love it. never thought it was moulin rouge though. been searching since today for it and now ive finally found it
