It’s not in the same league, it’s like comparing a Honda with a Mercedes, both get you where you want to go, one will do it in style. Word of advice for future reviews, the Gemini are the only earbuds that actually generate reall bass and not just mimic it. I never heard it in other earbuds and I think it’s worth mentioning it out. Sound stage and separation between the instruments are also much better then the cheaper rivals.
In quiet environments the Gemini sound is clearly superior, but the noise canceling sucks so even in slightly noisy environments you need.to turn it up too loud to get past the noise. As commuter earbuds the Sony wins hands down. Also responds well to EQ. So your most common listening environment will dictate which works here.
@ The ANC of the Gemini is not as good as other competitors brands like Sony or Bose but it’s not that terrible. Try changing the in ear rubber pacs and see if you get better results. I love the Gemini 2 despite falling short in that regard because they sound much better then other brands, noting comes close to their level of performance.
Hi ron i love all the reviews your making very helpful but i would like to ask because here in our country shops really dont have sample buds to let you try the unit like the devialet gemini 2 i would like to ask if its really worth it more than the wf xm5's many thanks
IMO, yes. Although the XM5 are really good (especially when I use the Find My Equalizer) setting, the Gemini IIs are clearer, crisper and have more detail.
Hey Ron the Beyerdynamic free byrds are still amongst the top tier buds even though they were released last year. Tech reviewers should of done more reviews on them
