note, every mechanic in this game is based on real tropes you see in cultivation novels. nobody who reads them even bats an eye when they hear most of this stuff. shit gets wild.
as someone who read multiple chinese cultivation novels, i can confirm, didnt even bat an eye for half the video
Do you know the one where the MC get reincarnate as a jade rock and literally can't do anything but sit on the ground for way too long? Then she reincarnate into a tree a few cycle later and a bird sometime after? That one is the wildest novel of the genre in my opinion. No fighting and powerup arc, just the MC trying to live in a cultivation world.

I've read a couple of Wuxia novel and yeah sounds about right.

@@toolatetothestory Yes to the first two, furries tho can become your brother, sister, mother, father, wife, aunt, uncle, grandpa and only in the rarest case stay animal.
And trust me and the two above, all of the thing in the game review is actually a part of some novel out there. We wasn't kidding. Infact, there is one novel where the main character is a literal rock in one of her reincarnation, a tree in another and a bird later after.
Wuxia and Xianxia novel is wack to most western audience.

@@toolatetothestory you can’t avoid it. You get stronger ASAP and overcome it. Even human cultivators will have to go through tribulations in the final stages to progress and if any one becomes a demigod and doesn’t ascend ( character leaves the game) they have to face tribulations regularly for going against heaven and staying on mortal world. Some of these tribulations can be delayed with pills.

You know how settings like Forgotten Realms and 40k have a really frightening amount of lore and background to them that makes them kind of stressful to get into? Well Wuxia has literally THOUSANDS OF YEARS worth of lore to it. None of it makes sense because it is hundreds of authors spanning generations upon generations changing and adding to the formula

I felt myself getting more and more distressed by every second watching and listening to this Review.. My brain is on fire and has turned into goop by trying to understand this game from a detailed review, how on earth would you survive actually playing this game? I read all kinds of Novels, Wuxia included, and that did nothing to help me wrap my head around this. I'mmmm just gonna go to bed and hopefully just forget about all of this.
the worst part is... it sounds lke what itb be like in those wuxia novels without plot armor :v
@@renai9539 Without the secret dead, but alive expert from 1000's of years ago from legends suddenly taking an interest in you after finding their "soul" in either a weapon, accessory or just a secret book that gives you all of the cheat knowledge and physique to cultivate its ultimate God-tier breathing technique. You would indeed be stuck as a lowly peasant courting death for looking at the sects nr.1 beauty, lol.
@@Harleopet ever check out record of a mortal's journey to immortality? it is literally a low tier cultivator tryna finesse the protag into being his new body. Cheat item, which helped with resources but not as op start.
@@renai9539 Sure, there are also a novel I read where MC got reincarnated with cheat skills, but he only got them after becoming a crappy sword, because a blacksmith decided to experiment by throwing a person into his forge to make a new kind of blade, so far he has killed about 20 or so different people for "not using him correctly, or he just don't like them", why don't he like them? Because he evolves from killing people, so morally correct people halts his progression to become the ultimate sword.
@@Harleopet wmw was one of the first ones i read actually, and i started trash of the counts family but stopped at one point cause i was busy with stuff. u can find record of a mortal's journey to immortality on wuxiaworld as well btw. U can check out beastmaster of the ages, he is broken but his original cheat stuff is kinda just his biological birthright :v

I've been reading cultivation novels for years and I still get confused most of the time.
That game may have ruined a semester of college, but I kind of understood it by hour 200. I understand that is unusually quick for this game, but I used all of the guides to help me.
If you were willing to read a mountain of guides, you probably could have gotten it down in a quarter of the time.
I'll admit though, this game is dense.
