Wow. You took such great care of your doll Addy. Even had the original box. I loved that Addy helped you cook that delicious looking peach cobbler. I'm loving this American Girl series.
I love my addy doll mine came in the newer Blue dress. I just reread all of her books their one of my favorite in the orginal American Girl historical characters
I had no idea the American Girl series took the effort to create an advisary board for Addie. I always assumed that series was very white washed. It's refreshing to hear otherwise and that cobbler is inspiring!
Yes! I was so surprised to learn that also. It took them 6 years to fully develop her story so it would be told correctly and sympathetically. I love that! And the cobbler did turn out to be very addictive! 😁
American Girl needs to do cook books like this again and go back to their pleasant company days more so that girls can learn more about history with their dolls more by doing things like cooking and other fun activities during their favorite dolls time in history. I found American Girl in Early 2000s so way after pleasant company but I love American Girl doll
I wish they would too! I owe my love of history in part to these books and learned so much as a little girl. I would be first in line if they ever decided to make a new collection of historical cookbooks!
Ive seen a few videos of pleasant company catalog flip thoughs and i think addy had afew things like a ice cream makeer and afew other things that actually worked to makw real food.
I don't have a scanner but they are on Ebay for about $4. Kit and Josefina are more expensive for some reason but I'm on the lookout for a cheaper copy!

You should scan the pages of the American Girl cookbooks to post online so that others can make the foods in the cook books
