I’m renting for the week from them right now. Love the car.
I wish you would have stuck more with the hertz review as the title implies, rather than a review of the car.
I had recently rented the long range Tesla for 1 day from Hertz in Toronto (Canada) for $65. I really liked the quick acceleration and how it sounds when driving (almost like an airplane when its in the air but quieter). The stereo speakers is also amazing (may not be as good on the standard range Tesla). For some reason, the touchscreen lagged constantly the next day (took 5-10 seconds for response every time I touched the screen). That's the only thing that ruined the experience (was told it is a common issue when returning).
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me the weekly cost on your experiment because I was thinking about doing it as an experiment. It told me it was $336 a week but I know there’s got to be extra charges and also the charges for charging it do you have a grand total or breakdown? That would be so useful and so helpful to so many people
Good Video, I wish you would have gone more in depth about the Charging information the biggest question most people have when renting a Tesla is the Charging experience how long it took , how convenient it was and the cost in general just more info about charging as a whole also is there any self driving?

UPDATE: Tesla (probably all EVs) should be returned at least 70% battery, otherwise we need to pay $35. If we want to return it at least 10% charge then we need to pay $35 at the counter. No more free for returning with at least 10 % charge.

How did you get the card key? Did you have to go get it from the Hertz counter? Or was the card key already in the Tesla?
I’m curious if anyone knows. Let’s say you want to rent a Tesla for a day. It says $101 per day, but when you get to check out it shows $400. What makes up that extra $300? And is that a deposit or do you actually have to pay that $400 for the one day rental

I just rented a Hertz Tesla Model 3 in Columbia, TN. Surprisingly, my cost was only $56 a day plus tax. My grand total for two full days was $126 with tax.

Insurance is crazy expensive for tesla. I pay 50$/mo for Civic 2019, and the quote for base model 3 is 350$/mo. Mach E premium is as twice as cheap 140$/mo
For the Tesla charging station, do you just plug in the thing and charge? How do they know who to bill

Does hertz provide a charging cable in the car? So, for instance, if I rent and I stay at a place without access to a charging station I can still plug it in.

They charge you after returning the car and after HERTZ has received details on the charging costs.

@@id-10-terror7 the car was a great experience overall, hertz overcharged me and sent it to collections. $250+ for aboslutely no reason. I just got it settled last week. It wasn't easy, it took over 4 phone calls. Cameras worked

My 4 cylinder weekday car is only $100/month on gas, just go use from house to work, work to house and some chores.. I’ve seen too many Tesla cars running out of juice in the middle of the road here in California..

I rented a Tesla Long Range from Hertz in Toronto and was charged $35 Canadian for 470km (80% was driven on highway)
Did they mention if you had to return it fully charged?
Nope I returned it at around 30% charge left.
And Hertz didn't report the car stolen and have you arrested? (This is a thing with Hertz.)

Video could’ve been condensed to 8-10 mins at best. Nice vid though
A moon roof opens so you could put your hand (or your body) through it. If it opens and just tilts some, it is a sunroof. If it is just a sheet of glass it is a glass roof. No Tesla to date has a moonroof. The S has a panoramic sunroof. The model 3 here is just a transparent glass roof.
