I live near Pie and Burger and go all the time. Burger is delicious but they also have the BEST pancakes stack I have ever had. They are very unique because they are kind of like a crepe style very thin pancake that you can’t get anywhere else in LA. Lemon meringue and seasonal fresh peach pie is also very delicious here.
The $6 Dollar Burger is now the $12 Burger. That's inflation for you. Thanks for this. Plan Check Burger looks really good and interesting. You two should do Plant Based Burgers on your next stop in LA.
My husband and I have been binge watching your channel and we were so surprised to find out you guys came to Kona! Wish we could have bought you guys lunch! Maybe one day 🙂 aloha! 🌴💕
I think you should do a new video on this shootout I saw other videos with people trying the hat and there aujus and the say it makes a difference I will be there next month trying a lot of your suggestions thank you so much for all of your videos I really enjoy you guys
that was really cool when you were at the plan burger place I don't know if it was called plan check or what but they were playing Lynyrd Skynyrd in the background and I just saw them in concert in Las Vegas last night they were amazing
Hi Bill and Lisa... another must try burger location is Hawkins House of Burgers in Los Angeles close to Watts. Don't let that "scare" you lol... it's a very popular place and constantly busy. Customers from all walks of life go there and it's been in the news... so good, handform patties. just overall delicious.
@@billandlisa you all are so sweet for responding to my post. It is definitely the highlight of my life lol. I'm so excited! Can't wait to see more of your awesome vlogs! Love you both and God bless!
Burgers Never Say Die looked the best. Still I like the video from the burger place in Compton, and I want to try it out on our next trip up from Diego.
What are you talking about.... you guys have the best burger place in the country according to Guy Fieri.. Hodads. I want to make the four hour trip just to taste one.
i never heard of it either, i use to live around there also, i know that the oldest place around before it was korea town was el cholo restaurant, good food dont know if its still there anymore, and pasadena is not l.a., different city
El Cholo is definitely still there, on Western, and is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant to go to. Not the best Mexican food (there are so many newer and better places in LA now) but still very good food. Great, cheap Margaritas and nachos to fill up on while waiting a bit for a table. WORTH THE VISIT!!!
Thank you for sharing your hamburger celebration. I really really appreciated you seeking out independent eateries. The thin smashed crispy burger reminded me of steak n shake burgers. Just wondering if you have eaten shake shack burgers? how do they compare? jmo
That apple pie at the first place looks so awesome. The burger from the third place reminded me of Guys burgers on the Carnival Inspiration. Would u say it tasted similar? The one thing on the ship is the topping bar for those guys burgers so addictive. lol Sounds like ur feeling better Lisa good to see hugs
Agreed, CTL, that first apple pie from Cassell's was pretty awesome. Ahh.. Guys burger on the Carnival ship is sooo good! Difference is the patty from BNSD is a lot thinner and more crisped up, and the buns are super soft, making them easier to eat and hot off the flat top temperature. That said, we still love Guy's burgers on Carnival for a great patty and being able to customize your burger exactly how you want it.
Hello, try The Escondite in Koreatown, Charlie Coffee Shop LA farmers market, Hawkins house of Burger!!!! Thank you y'all for all the places to go!!!!! Y'all should do a meet and greet!!!!
Would you consider going to Ambar, Bahia Principe and blogging the all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic! it's a resort that gives you access to all the restaurants at all the properties because it's premier five-star resort ( I have been there twice), It's such a good deal and I think your subscribers would enjoy it too!
The meat at Cassells looked real good. Plan Check gets bonus points for blasting Freebird, but a deduction for "ketchup leather", what the heck is that?
From an internet source; To make a sheet of Ketchup Leather, Plan Check's chefs combine tomato paste, soy sauce, garlic, and spices in a blender, and then dehydrate the mixture until it's completely dry. They then cut the Leather into squares.
Ok, I'm born and raised in Cali and I've never been to any of these spots! I have to get out more! All of those burgers looked delicious!! Here's another question for you two. I've literally have watched all of your videos. Has there ever been a time when you tasted something and it was horrible? I mean REALLY bad?
Go try these burgers, Darryl! lol There were things we had that didn't meet our expectations, or things that we didn't care for, but overall, haven't really come across horrible dishes, maybe because we're both non-picky eaters? If we do come across some bad dishes, you'll see it in our expressions. haha
Burgers were more traditional, thinner patties, larger diameter, 1/3lb & 2/3lb. They also offers free fruit & potato salad. Potato salad had a little horseradish in it. So delicious. I miss the old Cassell’s.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and steakburgers. I believe there are only a few locations...Thousand Oaks, Victorville and San Marcos...a few in LV. East coast chain. Pretty yummy, it was my first time having a “steak burger” I think it’s similar to BNSD.
They all looked soooo good! I really loved Cassells. My kind of burger. And I love that they've been in business for 71 years!
Cassells does serve a great burger! It's a LA classic!
I’m dying ! I wanted a vote !!!
All burgers looks appetizing..
I live near Pie and Burger and go all the time. Burger is delicious but they also have the BEST pancakes stack I have ever had. I love Pie 'N' Burger. Might I recommend the boysenberry pie, heated, with their homemade whipped cream. Yummy. BTW, you have a new subscriber.
Thanks for the tip and welcome to our channel, Larry!
Omg, I'm dying over here! I missed national burger day!!😢😭 Those burgers looked so good. Thanks for sharing! Look forward to the next vlog!
Thanks Winnie! We did a LA foodie weekend tour! Will be posting up a couple more!
The $6 Dollar Burger is now the $12 Burger. That's inflation for you. Thanks for this. Plan Check Burger looks really good and interesting. You two should do Plant Based Burgers on your next stop in LA.
I love your channel!!! The 3rd burger looks to be my fav as it’s a bit crispy!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Gotta love that flat top burger crisp!
My husband and I have been binge watching your channel and we were so surprised to find out you guys came to Kona! Wish we could have bought you guys lunch! Maybe one day 🙂 aloha! 🌴💕
Thanks for watching, Rene! We love visiting all the HI islands! We'll eventually make it back to Kona!

Great video, I agree with Tammy, the first burger looked the best to me as well! Cassell's since 1948, wow.
Yes, slinging burgers since 1948, they got it down pat! lol
I love you guys you are the cutest couple ever!!!!
My tummy is growling, the first burger looked the best to me🦋💜
The first burger (Cassell's) was very Instagrammable for sure!
that was really cool when you were at the plan burger place I don't know if it was called plan check or what but they were playing Lynyrd Skynyrd in the background and I just saw them in concert in Las Vegas last night they were amazing
Cassell’s may be an old establishment, but you can tell it is CLEAN, That counter behind that glass behind the table was spotless!
Cassell's no doubt slings an excellent burger! A clean establishment always gets extra points!
Cassell’s looks really good and moist with the fresh veggies inside. Looks like a nice bun, too
We both really enjoyed Cassell's for its freshness!
Great video guys!!! Please do more!!
Couple goals!!! 😍🍔
Cassells & burgers never die looked the best!!
Not meant to be a shootout, but you did hit our number 1 and 2 choices. =)
Another great video! Those burgers looked amazing! 🍔
Thanks Linda! All were very good in their own way!

Bookmarked! Burger pics on Yelp look great! Thanks for the recommendation, Jose!
Awww love you both! Thank you for taking us around LA. I really enjoyed this video. See you all in the next video!!!😘😘
Thanks Tania! Since we didn't;t travel out of town this weekend, we toured around LA, got a couple more vlogs on the way!

That Plan Check burger!!!
Now a day's things are so expensive, and such large portions may as well split the burger! I really enjoy the food, you two love!
We always try and split meals so we can sample more! lol Thanks for watching, Joseph!
Cassell's burgers is very good. My wife and I share it. We also get pie which is good too.
Burgers Never Say Die looked the best. Still I like the video from the burger place in Compton, and I want to try it out on our next trip up from Diego.
Loved BNSD! So simple, but delicious!
What are you talking about.... you guys have the best burger place in the country according to Guy Fieri.. Hodads. I want to make the four hour trip just to taste one.
Cassel, my mama used to make Passells back in the day, miss that flavor
Cassell's looks so good😲😲🤯😛😋😋😋😋😛
Happy burger day!!
Never knew!
I liked burger 3 as it was different and made u 2 smile more.
Burger 3 was pretty awesome!

Oh god 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔.
Great video guys!
Thank you for sharing your hamburger celebration. I really really appreciated you seeking out independent eateries. The thin smashed crispy burger reminded me of steak n shake burgers. Just wondering if you have eaten shake shack burgers? how do they compare? jmo
Shake Shake is pretty good for sure. We even went to the original location in New York!
That apple pie at the first place looks so awesome. The burger from the third place reminded me of Guys burgers on the Carnival Inspiration. Would u say it tasted similar? Feeling much better, thank you!!
Awesome Review.........First time here. I like...........
Have you guys gone to Belcampo in Grand Central Market? If so, what do you guys think.
Have yet to try their burgers.
Awww... Thanks anyways.
All the burgers looked delish, and the apple pie....yum!
So which burger was the best?
Wasn't a shootout, but since you asked... #3, then #1 in that order. They were all yum though.
Apple Pie is my favorite too ! I eat it with ice cream as well but I choose neapolitan flavor
We always try and order apple pie, it sets the standard for pies. So, if a place can't bake a good one, we worry a little bit. lol
Ha ha ha Glendale !! Lol 😂
Love you guys. I'll love to eat with you guys.
Hello, try The Escondite in Koreatown, Charlie Coffee Shop LA farmers market, Hawkins house of Burger!!!! Thank you y'all for all the places to go!!!!! Y'all should do a meet and greet!!!!
Thanks for the recommendations, David! A M&G?? Only one or two may show up! haha
That one burger was way too rare! I would have sent it back! But I have to say the way you complimented it, the meat must have been really fresh!
It was pretty tasty. We're just glad we ordered the meat temp med-well, because med would've been rare! lol

The DR isn't on our short list of travel destinations, but when it does make the list, maybe! Thanks for the suggestion, Joseph.
Thousand island dressing on first burger , yummmm
Yes!!!
I love you kids! You are so cute together too!

@@billandlisaI will pass on that lol, ketchup of any sort doesn't belong on my burger.
Looks so good!
BNSD = looks incredible - good bun ! Again, no cheese !
Cassells = really like the way all fixins r on the side - that sauce looks good . No cheese pls !
# 3 is the best,, flat and crispy and the price is right.
And, this is why this place is climbing the 'best burger in LA' ranks fast!
No Grand Burger?
Winner = Cassells ! Tied with BNSD ! U should hit Utah for an Arctic Circle and try their fry sauce ! !
In SLC? What's the name of the place?
Ok, I'm born and raised in Cali and I've never been to any of these spots! I have to get out more! All of those burgers looked delicious!!

APPLE PAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Pasadena IS part of LA county. It’s not in the city of LOS Angeles but pie and burger is in Los Angeles county. People get this confused.
Minutiae That is so UNNECESSARY. Get a life!!!!
Yummy fun Day.
And filling! lol
Now am hungry...lol...
Damn, I'm trying to lose weigh, until I see your burger , then your order the apple pie and ice cream., I say forget it.
Sorry Robert! LOL
Me and my gf watch all your vlogs baby!!!
LOL! Thanks for watching!
@@billandlisa
We suggest Ktown next!
PCB Best Burger
PnB = pie has WAY too much crust - that lettuce better be Iceburg ! It does look good .
Cassell’s Burgers menu was changed after new ownership. Even though I like the new place, I miss the original burgers & potato salad.
Interesting! Didn't know about the new ownership. Were the original burgers much different that the ones offered now?
Burgers were more traditional, thinner patties, larger diameter, 1/3lb & 2/3lb. They also offers free fruit & potato salad. Potato salad had a little horseradish in it. So delicious. I miss the old Cassell’s.
I miss Bob's Big Boy!....Oops showing my age
There's a few still around. lol
Plan check = burger looks med rare , just as i like . no grilled onions pls - only raw - and no cheese ! Looks good !
Plan Check does put out a good burger for sure. Only their grill master needs a little work hitting the requested meat temp.
The pie is bigger than the burger.
LOL!
Aloha!
A fast food version of the flat burger is Freddy’s, hope u try it and let us know how it stands vs bnsd burger.
What city? Doesn't come up on Yelp Los Angeles.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and steakburgers. I believe there are only a few locations...Thousand Oaks, Victorville and San Marcos...a few in LV. East coast chain. Pretty yummy, it was my first time having a “steak burger” I think it’s similar to BNSD.
うーまーそーうー🍔
The second to the last place reminds me of Smash Burger.
Never been to Smash Burger, but good to know!
The patty was cooked perfectly at Plan Check!
It was pretty awesome!
DROOLING

medium well is the best way to have it, I don't want to see any pink or blood.
Please don’t say ‘In and Out Burger’
Okay, we won't. lol
As a matter of fact…headed there as you speak!!!
