I have a video on my channel deringing a personal which is the same basic process. I showed how using a metal straw works great for helping get the plate out. I tested a few things but it was really easy. I used a leather glue to reaffix where I cut it. It worked great and you can’t even see where I cut it. I share it in that video too.
