- So the question is…. Does the pocket size Filofax Malden make a good wallet? If you saw the unboxing video on this little navy planner, you’ll know how much I loved this little navy planner. I'll be using this as a wallet and my secondary planner so I can keep track of bits and pieces when I'm on the go. If you're interested in how to set up a wallet planner - have a look!

Hansel/Handsel is what we call it in Scotland to put a silver coin in a purse, handbag or wallet that we gift to someone. It's so that you always have money in your purse (I always taped my coin into the pocket so it never got spent). I've heard it said that it is a gift to celebrate the start of something new. My mother and grandmother did it and I still do it. :)
