Better get some frame connectors if you don't have already, that's a LOT of power, with some good traction and gearing easy low 11's I would think. I am 64 and mid 70's I built a 67 RS Yenko clone, 427/425 with 456 gears in a 12 bolt and a 4 speed, 427/425 was a strong engine in its day,, your engine had about 200 more torque and HP...In those days a 540 inch 650+ hp engine was nothing but a dream, I knew a guy who had a prepped L-88 in a Camaro and he barely broke into the 10's, dual quads, and well prepped, I think he had a Ford 9 inch
God. That is just beautiful!! Quick question, if you please. That carb got set up on a dyno. Yes? When you mount an air filter, that changes everything. Then what?
Justin Fierman what would you have had to do to fit it, just a new large cowl hood ? Sorry if it’s a stupid question I’m real new to this stuff trying to learn as I go before I buy one and can’t make it work I’m gonna be putting it in an 80 Malibu
@@yetisnowservice4118, really depends on the car. The tall deck block is about .400" taller and space is already tight in my 69 Camaro. Plus my car already had a big block (standard deck) in it, so I wanted to be able to reuse everything including the headers with no issues.
Timing does come set. Now in my case, I did pull the distributor during install. I did put it back in the same spot (more or less). Then I verified with a timing light and maybe moved a few degrees to get it where I wanted. Even if you don't remove the distributor for install, I would always double check timing. Only takes a few minutes.
Yeah came ready to drop in. Timing was set and the carb was good to go. I do have to run some octane booster with the 93 octane though. Maybe it is just the gas in South Florida.
I have a ZZ502 in my 67 Camaro, runs great. I bet that 540 is a beast, how about a up date video.

Awesome engine
Wheel stand here we come.
Would love run that in. A G Body car.
Dude that's 700 h.p Jesus h, Christ its a monster!!
God. That is just beautiful!!

Difference with an air filter is probably negligible. But its fuel injected now, runs like a dream!
Would feel better if the carb was sealed and the thermostat housing was taped shut. But that is what the bag is for I guess.
What kind of fuel pump did you use and did you use your car original fuel tank?
I have the tanks inc EFI tank with their 400 lph in-tank fuel pump.
That sure looks nice
What headers did you end up using?
How’d it fit in the car? Any reason you didn’t do the 632? Deciding on one now
Fit perfect, external dimensions are the same as a standard Chevrolet big block. The 632, however, is a tall deck block. Thats why I didn't chose it.

Justin Fierman thanks for the feedback much appreciated!
What brand and model headers did you buy? I’m buying the 540 for my 67 Camaro. Thanks!
Hedman 68196, 1-3/4" primary, 3" collector with 3" full exhaust.
Justin Fierman thanks
Looks great, how's the motor run? I put a blueprint 632 in my 55' Chevy truck..... haven't got it running yet but soon
Runs great, but much better now since I added Fitech EFI.
have you had any issues?
how did you break in motor?
@@Justin_Fierman Justin ✌️. How is you engine still working?.
@@ivangongora4646 Flawless
Do u still have the engine
Yeah still have it. Running strong.
Bad ASS.. How much did this Beast Run u
Bought thru Summit, just under 10K
Mmmmm that's really nice
so you didn't have to mess with the timing at all?

How’s the motor holding up?
Haven't put many miles on it, but runs like a dream.
So jealous 😭
So do strongly recommend this company
I just ordered the 598ci... so was it ready to drop in???
