i received my album (the first project on makestar) just two days ago and god being international i felt you when the shipping fees hit then the conversions
I think they chose a pocaalbum for sustainability reasons + it costs less to produce! The album itself is ~15000won (~$13-15) so the contents match the price! Maybe the minialbum coming up will have a cd+photobook tho 👀

If you already have apple music, you can just download the album from there! The purpose of the songs being on pocaalbum is just cause there is no cd in the physical copy and so since its a “music album”, they just added the songs digitally thru pocaalbum :) plus the app is used to get exclusive pics of the boys! Hope this helps!
^^tldr; anyone can listen to the album through all the streaming platforms! The pocaalbum app serves mostly as a place to find the exclusive content for people who bought a physical copy :)
